BUT greeter-seaters consistently tell you it's a twenty minute + wait and ask for your number but don't leave. Twice I was removed from the wait list with no call or reason. As someone that is from the west coast, I was looking forward to Virginia Beach. I only heard about Virginia Beach cause of the surfing and Pharrell Williams. Yesterday, My wife and I drove down Baltimore because we were in a wedding and decided to catch our flight back to Las Vegas from Norfolk. Made a stop at the Virginia Beach for some one on one time. The beach is so beautiful by the way! Clean beach for the win! Let me tell yall!! The food was absolutely amazing! I had the Fish of the Day, which was Blackened Salmon, Garlic Broccoli, and Fries. My wife had the Blackened Shrimp Tacos and Rum cake. Let me tell yall, that Rum Cake was absolutely delicious!! The service was phenomenal!! Huge huge huge shoutout and thank you to Mario for making my wife and I feel so welcomed and taken cared of!! Ocean Eddie's Seafood Restaurant is located at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront where the Virginia Beach Fishing Pier is located. There is parking available at the fishing pier for the restaurant. During certain times of the year (especially summer) where there will be a fee for parking. My visit here was on January 20, 2026. You can see the overall building from the parking lot there for the fishing pier. The fishing pier is closed this time of year, but this restaurant is just before the main fishing pier. You can tell this business and structure have been around for quite a while (in a good way). The first entrance from the structure is the gift shop, and the other one is the entrance to the restaurant. When you first come inside, you can see it looks like a fishing/seafood type of place, which is fitting for where it is. At the time my mom and I came in, it wasn't busy. This 3:30 pm, so it might have been early for others to come in. We were greeted at the host stand and we were immediately seated in the main dining area of the restaurant. A few moments later our server Kierston came to the table. She introduced herself and asked what we wanted to drink and if we had any questions about the menus. It would take us a little while to decide what we wanted to get. This was our first time here as we like to check out places that are new to us during the Restaurant Week. We did get to see the ocean where we were seated too. After some time, we were ready to order. I decided to go with the Hot Salmon Dip as the appetizer, Roasted Chicken as the entree, and Chocolate Ooey Gooey Butter Cake as the dessert. My mom got the same dessert too, but she got the Beer Battered Shrimp as the appetizer and the Lobster Mac & Cheese as the entree. About five to ten minutes after ordering, the appetizers came out to the table. The Hot Salmon Dip looked really good too. It came with tortilla chips and Ritz crackers. The dip was satisfying. The Beer Battered Shrimp looked good too. After about ten minutes, the entrees came to the table. The Chicken, Green Beans, and Mashed Potatoes looked good, as well as the Lobster Mac & Cheese my mom got. The chicken was good, but it was hard to get the skin off. It was fine once I was able to get it off. It was pretty stuck on there. The green beans and mashed potatoes were good complements though. My mom said the Lobster Mac & Cheese was good, but it was very salty. The last course of the visit was the Chocolate Ooey Gooey Butter Cake. That was quite an indulgence and that was very good and very rich in flavor. This was a good visit overall. There wasn't anything that gave me a wow factor to go above a 3-star rating at this time. The service was good and the food was good. Maybe it was just an off kind of day since we were the only ones there when we got there. I would likely come back another time to try the regular menu. They do a have a good drink list for those that drink alcohol. read more

I had one of the best burgers that I've ever had at Ocean Eddie's tonight for dinner! I got the Crabby Smash Burger which had a beef patty, smashed crab cake patty, Swiss cheese, lettuce, pickles, and tartar sauce on a potato roll bun. SUCH a great combo that was delicious down to the last bite. This restaurant is located on the Virginia Beach Fishing Pier and has inside and outside seating. Location. You literally cannot ask for a better location when you're at the beach. Attached to the dock, the restaurant juts out over the beach, offering an incomparable view of the beach and ocean. Service was friendly and prompt, with an attentive server who was able to answer questions and make recommendations. The menu had lots of options for my picky children, and it had enough variety that my wife and I both found things that looked great. Our drinks were very tasty and put us in the mood for being at the beach, and when the food arrived, it was all excellent. All in all, I have to say that ocean Eddie's is one of the rare restaurants where I really can't think of anything negative to say. The bathrooms could use a little updating. Talk about an amazing experience. Ocean Eddie's is by far one of the BEST Fish Sandwiches I have had in my entire Life. Arriving at Ocean Eddie's, the staff was very friendly and welcoming. As we checked in, we decided to sit outside. Though it was a cool day, we wanted the outdoor experience. Once seated, our waitress arrived and took our order. As the ocean view captured our attention we were still able to scroll the menu and put our orders in. As I'm not a heavy seafood eater I decided on a Sweet Tea and Fish Sandwich with Fries. After our order was placed, we went back to admiring the view and enjoying the brisk ocean breeze. Of course the sweet tea came out first and babeeeeeeeeeee... This tea was Freshly Brewed and had a true authentic tea leaf flavor which added to my appreciation for the glass. As I appreciated each sip, I accidentally drank the whole glass quickly. LoL! Not to fret, my waitress was spot on with her check-in intervals and was back at the table before I could miss my tea. When the sandwich came, the playing was gorgeous. The sandwich was thick and you could smell the seasoning from the food. Oh yeah, I knew I was in for an experience. Upon first bite, I closed my eyes and was lost in a food trance. If you're looking for mediocre seafood that's close to the hotel, this is the place. I had driven all day, and wanted to go somewhere close, so had come here for dinner. I came during the off season so it was empty, which meant we got sat immediately. It's right on the beach, so the view is amazing! We ordered drinks and they only have Coke and Sprite as soda options, and as our entrees we ordered the crusted salmon (seared) and crab cakes. The total came up to be around $70. Food wasn't bad, but definitely could have been better, granted they have fried seafood and burgers here too. Service could have been better, like give us refills or know the menu more (my server asked me which crab cakes but I had only seen one option on the menu, and also was asked if I wanted my salmon stuffed or seared when the menu said crusted (?)). We also waited a while for the food to come out, but that also might be because of the lack of staff since it's the off season and they had a largeish party present. Overall, it's an ok restaurant if you want something close by the beach, but there are other options for better seafood. read more

The staff were very good and friendly (plus their uniforms were very sexy). We ate outside, very nice view of the beach and loved hearing the ocean as well. The table was clean, but sticky. But thinking about it the sea air probably makes that happen. My mother ordered a Chicken Sandwich with little mayo and cheese, what she got was a chicken and bacon sandwich with everything on it. I told the waitress what happened and they gave a discount and a free dessert pie. The pie was good just very very sweet. I ordered Streamed Peel and eat shrimp, they were ok. Had a very nice server by the name of Lori. Sat outside, ordered our simple lunch. We waited. And waited. Watched the people behind us get their food, return it, and get new food. Watched the folks in front of us get seated a half hour into our wait, order, eat and leave before our food even arrived. Finally, at the 45 minute mark, Lori advised that she messed up and never put our food order in. We appreciated her honesty, said we would wait. So we waited. And waited. Food never came. Finally got up to leave. Lori ran over to my wife to advise her the food was almost ready, but we were done waiting. Advised that when our order was finally put in, it went to the bottom of the pile "and we had to wait for all the orders placed ahead of us." The server who took our order was nice and polite, but the people working in the kitchen and inside were not the best. They were eating, drinking, and just chatting with the manager on shift tonight between employees and not worried about other people's food being made. It took almost two hours to receive our food, and we were very disappointed. Can you please talk to your team about providing service in a timely manner. I received a call back from the "owner" of the place and they are just as bad as the staff on Saturday night. She attempted to justify everything and was upset with the review I wrote. The food quality wasn't good but they stated to me that the food is fresh but the burger of the month tasted like fish, commonly from either cross contamination or rancid meat though the reason given was because it had corned beef. The comment that was made as far as how long it took to come out she said I was over exaggerated when I said it almost took two hours. When I came to make a complaint to a manger she brought out one of the chefs and he was hostile and extremely rude that it made other customers uncomfortable with the way they were speaking to us. Their main concern was the tip amount and not the service itself or the food quality. I do not recommend this place at all. read more

Wow. Impressed. My husband loves this place. He's been multiple times with friends and his parents but I've never joined them. Yesterday was my birthday and the weather was gorgeous so we decided lunch at the oceanfront and walking the boardwalk was the way to go. We were immediately sat on the balcony at a nice table with an ocean view and you could hear the waves. Our server, Nathan, was stellar. Attentive but not annoying, prompt, efficient and super polite. He was wonderful. He asked if we wanted drink refills to go, he came to tell us he'd checked on our food and our ticket was up next after we'd waited a while, he was just doing everything right. I had the grilled chicken club with bacon, cheese, lettuce, tomato and honey mustard on a potato bun. It was legit delish. Simple, but good and came with some delicious crispy fries. Hubs also got the steamed shrimp and cesear salad. Both very good. They have butter cake - I gotta know. And key lime pie. I'll be trying and reporting on those later on.... Noms. They need to hire new management because it's sad to run a nice restaurant with very rude staff and incompetent manager. The hostess was very dry flat affect and then either the manager or supervisor kicked us out of the table after we asked the hostess if it was okay sitting at the corner table. So we waited for over 10 minutes that manager came to our table to told us that the hostess didn't want us to use that specific table however she agreed to put us there in the first place. Then that manager (female) never apologized for the inconvenience and showed no sympathy towards us. The reason was because that table was for 6 people and we were only 4. It's understandable but nobody old us anything before and considering it was around 3:30pm on a Monday. I really hope this doesn't happens to anybody else. Please Mr Owner of this nice restaurant you should considering addressing this issue to your staff because you will be losing business. read more
