Reservations! If you're interested in eating here, make a reservation so you're able to get a seat faster. Parking validation is done at the kiosk, and there are small sofas and restrooms upstairs. We had no reservations but waited about 25 minutes for seats, which was fine because we were early to meet our friends, so we had to wait on them anyway. We got a table away from the windows but were still able to check out some of the view while we were leaving. The food here was fresh and delicious. Everything came out quickly and had nice presentation. My Korean beef bowl was okay but better with some spicy mayo. This place is right on the oceanfront. The views are wonderful. There is a parking deck and they validate your parking for two hours. After two hours it's $3.00. (The sign inside said it would be $2.00) Upon parking in the parking deck, you have to take the elevator to the 23rd floor. Some of the elevators do not work and you will not be able to get to the 23rd floor to the restaurant. Good luck and I hope you find the right elevator. We had reservations but they were not ready for us. We barely fit in the tiny space where they sat us, so they had to move some of us and then some of us had to move again. I ordered the short rib udon and the soba sushi. Both were meh. The short rib udon was more fat than anything else. The food was also incredibly expensive considering the quality and the portions. It featured baby romaine, shaved Parmesan and small, toasted slices of French bread with a creamy Caesar dressing. They were supposed to be jumbo scallops but were far from it. The portion was small in general. The pasta was under done. Let's give it a C. My daughter had the Half Chicken. It was cooked well. This is that one place I am going to tell you to book WAY in advance for a good table, like 2-3 weeks in advance--at least. Service: 10/10. Back again! We were there for a office dinner this time and of course one of our favorite places to get together is this. Once you get your car valet, you get in and there is this grand wall decoration, and then you use the elevator to go to the 23 rd foot I guess. There are other options for parking too. But she came to us with weird energy and just rubbed us the wrong way. And towards the end of the night, we saw our original server was still in the restaurant so what was that even about?! It took 50 minutes from the start of our reservation to put drink orders in, at that point we put all food orders in as well. The food wasn't terrible but most of it was not great. We came here to celebrate a special occasion. According to their website, reservations are required, and my husband I showed up a little before our 7:30 pm reservation but had to wait until almost 8 pm to be seated. While we waited, I asked the hostess twice if we could grab a drink from the bar, and was told we could not, because we would be seated soon, but then we still waited almost a half hour. We noticed they were taking walk-ins and adding people to a wait list, although the website says reservations are required. Their website also says the dress code is "smart casual", which we followed, but many people were dressed casually in flip flops, baseball caps, athletic shorts, T-shirts with loud designs on them, etc., changing the entire atmosphere. Once seated, we ordered drinks and food, all of which were good. The salmon crudo and rockfish entree were our favorites, well-prepared, flavorful, and plated nicely. However, during dinner, there was a toddler in a high chair repeatedly yelling two tables away, which really hurt the ambiance and was very strange to see during a 9-10 pm timeframe. By this time they already ran out of avocado toast. I ordered the Hong Kong braised pork bao. It was disappointing. The bao's weren't warm and fluffy soft, they were already stiff room temperature when served. The meat was under seasoned, they put raw jalapeños which would have been better pickled (now that's a tip which I could go to the bank with), and there wasn't any sauce, it was very dry. Patrick was our server in the bar area and James helped us out as well both were fantastic. Also the bar turned into a club after 10pm with a DJ who was 10/10. I have been a fan of the menu and location for years, but will not return to this restaurant again due to the price gouging that occurred last night. No wine option for a glass under $16, most over $20 and even a $30 dollar glass option. The parking garage only gave us 1 hour of validated parking for dinner, so we had to pay an additional $6 after spending over $100 and dining for merely an hour and 15. minutes. We waited for our table at the bar, and the bartenders were fantastic--friendly and attentive. I ordered a cocktail with a rice wash and rum (wish I remembered the name). It was too sweet for my taste, but if you enjoy tropical, beach-style drinks, you might love it. Our server was polite but fairly absent throughout the evening. He helped me choose between two dishes, which I appreciated, but only stopped by five times: to greet us, take our order, check on the food (20 minutes after it arrived), bring the check, and return with the payment. I had hoped to order a glass of wine with my meal, but since he didn't come back until long after the food was served, it felt too late to ask. The hostess and gentleman that sat us were super sweet and helpful. Overall, Orion's delivers on ambiance and bar service, but the table service left something to be desired.
