We wanted to do a nice brunch while at the beach and this was the perfect place! We had a reservation which is recommended. We were seated immediately right by the window and the view was incredible! Our waitress was super sweet and attentive. I got the peanut butter and banana stuffed French toast and hot honey chicken it was DELICIOUS! Especially if you love peanut butter like me. I also got a white peach mimosa and it wasn't very sweet which I liked. A great brunch with an excellent view!

Beautiful layout and beautiful atmosphere with different views of the beach and have that city view as well this the place for you. Walking in was like a hidden gem or wonder the bar was very spacious and wide range where you had options before your table is ready to hangout at the bar and grab a drink. I got there house of rising sun cocktail it has a mild sweet and citrus flavor as well as the champagne cocktail it came with a pear as the top part to add that sweetness to make it more than what Is and everything is handcrafted they do also offer wine and beer a wide selection. They gave us a perfect layout for a party of 7 plus very considerate with making sure as people who arrive a little later were served as soon as possible and I do like services like that. I tried there 7 spiced Ahi super delicious and mix of light and bold flavors definitely a new favorite and I also had there Peruvian sushi rolls where that had more fresh and sweet taste and they had a lot of sushi options I pick this one it's little bit different from my normal rolls that I get and this was made on site fresh. The final chapter to close the night was green tea tiramisu and with suprise message, the dessert it self was nice and airy with the caramel sauce they use was amazing good. This place I highly recommend for all season long you have more options to enjoy the restaurant indoors and out. And since this was special day they made it extra special and easy and fast during a busy night like Friday and thru do also offer a late night O bar night out where they have a live Dj with good bites and drinks.

We came here last year for Christmas night dinner and decided to try it again! The restaurant is beautifully decorated with twinkling lights and white poinsettias leading up to the massive, breathtaking oceanfront view 23 floors up! We started off with fried pork dumplings and salted edamame. I ordered a mocktail that highlighted fresh ginger. Followed by a Caesar Salad. It featured baby romaine, shaved Parmesan and small, toasted slices of French bread with a creamy Caesar dressing. My choice for the next course was a Spider Roll with tempura fried crab, avocado, shrimp and lobster salad and eel sauce. I give it an A. My son had the Scallops served with kale ravioli. They were supposed to be jumbo scallops but were far from it. The portion was small in general. The pasta was under done. Let's give it a C. My daughter had the Half Chicken. It was cooked well. The gnocchi was "pad Thai gnocchi" and it wasn't really giving that flavor profile. We will give it a B. My grandson had the bento box. It included burger slider, delicious French fries, celery and carrots. He was very happy. This was a very expensive meal. We enjoyed it but not sure it was worth the cost with some of the portion sizes.

The view is incredible here. However, the food was alright. The best thing was the sushi but their other entrees were bland and lacked flavor.

The atmosphere is beautiful. The presentation of the food was amazing. And the service was excellent! I highly recommend. To top it off is the view!

The atmosphere at this restaurant is remarkable to say the least. I ordered the Eggs Benedict from the brunch menu and it was honestly not impressive in the slightest. The sauce lacked flavor and the amount of food you receive is very minuscule. Our server Eric was also not as helpful with as multiple drinks and requests went unanswered.

TL;DR: Horrible service and beautiful, flavorless food. All vibes and vision, terrible execution. My family grabbed a reservation on a Saturday, and I can totally understand things like rushing waiters, the kitchen being in the weeds and food being late. But none of that was happening here. We had a beautiful view of the full moon over the ocean. Gorgeous views. The front of the restaurant was full of life and the restaurant is gorgeous. Great vibes. Then we got the waiter, a disheveled man with a notepad (again, it's Saturday. I've worked in restaurants, it can get crazy. But he was slurring his words and slamming his hands down on the table as he talked and it freaked me out.). We begin ordering drinks and apps. The son of a gun is nice, but nothing exciting. The stinger mocktail is weirdly savory but I liked the rising sun cocktail. 3/5 The apps came: my husband's chicken yakitori and my son's miso, which was so salty none of us could take more than two sips. My husband will eat food so it isn't wasted and he just couldn't do it. We weren't the only party that complained about it either. 1/5 But where's my app? Oh, the waiter didn't even put my hamachi carpaccio on the ticket. Once I got it, it was good, though getting the yuzu pearls into the bite was impossible with a fork (no spoons) and I could do without the cilantro, I would've used shiso flowers. 3/5 Now entrees: the scallops were topped with big slumps of wet red pepper that ruined the crust, the corn "foam" was deflated with a skin on it so it must've been waiting a while under hot lights, and the quinoa was mixed with a creamy, pungent cheese that didn't go with the underseasoned, yet sweet, scallops. 2/5 for the scallops alone. My husband got the miso cod for our Swiss plate and the swordfish. Cod: bland! And look at those vegetables, not a speck of salt or pepper it tasted like frozen veggies from a bag. The swordfish also had no seasoning and the broccolini was overcooked. My husband eats everything given to him but he didn't want to finish his meal. 1/5 As for my son's children's yakitori meal? Again, THE WAITER DIDNT EVEN PUT IT ON THE TICKET! -5/5 But wait, when we got the check, we got double charged for the kids yakitori! And the miso we sent back. So we had the waiter go back and fix this mess. 0/5 But hey, the ocean was pretty. And the restaurant is nice to look at. If you're someone who likes to pretend to eat food and take IG selfies in an aesthetic space, this is the place for it .

An over the top, awesome experience! We were sat at an incredible corner table with floor to ceiling windows and an awesome ocean views! Our waitress, Michele, was so very helpful for choosing from the extensive menu. She recommended the 7 spice ahi appetizer which was so Awe-mazing! We also ordered a Japanese old fashioned which was very good . . . light and fruity, and a House of the Rising Sun martini, which was sweet tart and included vodka, lychee, lemon, and blood orange. My swordfish was tender and moist and enhanced with peach, miso mash, broccolini. My husband's Pad Thai was just ordinary, he said, not unique but standard, lacked moisture and the noodles were gummy. He was disappointed. But overall, the atmosphere and experience was high-end and lux. We also had the great pleasure of meeting Noel Bugarin, the assistant general manager, who was so personable and gracious! I can't wait to return!

Specialty Rolls: (L-R) Firework Salmon Roll, Peruvian Roll, Surf and Turf Roll

This place never disappoints. Whether I'm sat at the bar, the sushi bar, the restaurant, or on the rooftop patio, the food and service are always fantastic. This is that one place I am going to tell you to book WAY in advance for a good table, like 2-3 weeks in advance--at least. Service: 10/10. We were very well looked after and our server had us in fits of laughter each time he came to the table. It's always a blast when we come here and the staff are always friendly. Drinks: 8/10. I wasn't a big fan of the mocktails (DD, thank you. Take your judgement elsewhere.) My friend got an old fashioned and also rated it an 8/10. Food: 10/10. Each time I've come for the specialty sushi rolls and they never ever disappoint. The Firework Salmon Roll, Peruvian Roll, Surf and Turf Roll (SO GOOD) are my go to's. Overall, a solid 5 stars with a view you'll never forget. Remember to reserve a table at least a week in advance!

Pan Asian Americans Restaurant with killer view It was brunch time, so I enjoyed pancakes and an adult beverage. While my friend ordered tacos as she wasn't very hungry. The plates were generously plated with a lot of food and served with a smile. The food was delicious but this restaurant is famous for their killer views of Virginia Beach for a very special and high level of this hotel. Valet parking is available for guests of the restaurant. You'll love the restaurant, the view and the tasty food.

Highly recommend making reservations before going - this place is the place to go for the scenery. We came here for dinner without reservations and were served pretty quickly, however, we were placed at the sushi bar by a dark corner... I didn't like that the bar stools couldn't move aside and Im glad I got the corner because that was where all the table and arm space was available. Food was just okay. I would recommend getting their featured Ahi Tuna nachos - it was a special the time when we went. The flavors on the nacho and tuna was...perfect. I loved the kick of flavor that it had too. We then order the sword fish and some sushi. The sword fish was pretty tough - I think they may have overcooked it, and the sushi...was just ordinary. Mainly, from a majority of the reviews I've read before coming here was pretty much just for the roof view. Def make reservations way beforehand.

Back again! We were there for a office dinner this time and of course one of our favorite places to get together is this. Once you get your car valet, you get in and there is this grand wall decoration, and then you use the elevator to go to the 23 rd foot I guess. There are other options for parking too. After you get in, you get seated to the reserved seat. Well, it's better if you have a pre reserved spot for dinner. They have this amazing ocean view and an open rooftop lookout area. The food was amazing with great service. Will be back again for sure.

The Shibuya at Orion's Roof is a must try
    Glenn M.

A Masterclass in Decadence If you're looking for a dessert that's a structural engineering feat of sugar, this is it. The Shibuya at Orion's Roof is "most excellent" in every sense of the word. The Breakdown: * The Foundation: Thick, buttery honey toast that stays crunchy under the weight of it all. * The Cold Stuff: A perfect contrast of 3 gelatos (the matcha is a standout) and classic vanilla ice cream. * The Extras: 4 delicate macarons for crunch and a hidden layer of airy mousse for extra richness. * The Finish: A mountain of whipped cream with chocolate drizzles. Verdict: Serving of goodness big enough to share. The mix of warm toast and melting gelato is elite. 10/10 sugar rush!

I have a reservation for 5 tonight but now it is 6 attending, will they still be able to accommodate?

It can get pretty crowded, I'd call them to confirm, they'll pry be able to make adjustments if they know ahead...

Curious to know How much Additional Fees and Gratuity they charged on Top of Total Bill?

none. The state and cities charge multi taxes, however.

    Do you all offer take-out?

Are there tables inside near windows that allow you to enjoy the view while staying warm in winter?

There are tables next to the windows in the bar, and the tables in the restaurant are elevated, so you can see out. Great views!

    Any dress code?

Not that I'm aware of. I wouldn't recommend showing up in a swimsuit and flip-flops, but anything nicer than that wouldn't be turned away.…

Do u need a reservation or can you just walk in?

We had a reservation, and it was busy enough that you'd probably have a long wait without one. I personally don't recommend Orion's Roof (see my review for details), but a lot…

I like that they were sweet and crispy. I'd get them again for sure. The dan dan noodles were spicy and flavorful. My sister and I got the Mongolian chicken, storm fish, and eggplant. This is my go to meal that I normally get, it's always tasty. The storm fish normally comes with a spicy mayo sauce, but they didn't have it this time. The fish was still ok, but the sauce is what gives it flavor, so it was a little bland this time. The eggplant and Mongolian chicken were yum, hot, and fresh!! One thing this location has going for it over the Norfolk Bonchon is that parking is readily available. When I originally pulled up, there was such ample parking that I felt like taking up 2 or 3 spots. You don't have to worry about parking at all - something I have to account for whenever I'd visit downtown Norfolk. Upon entering, their venue is roomy. The bar alone looks bigger than the entirety of the Norfolk Bonchon (not really, but Norfolk is small) and there are plenty of tables, seats and TVs. Based on the setup, this would be an ideal place to watch a game while eating some fantastic fried chicken. Service is maybe this Bonchon's biggest hurdle. The quality of service, based on my experience, has been hit and miss. Often times, the most you'll be doing is waiting as I've experienced employees who are new, don't move with any urgency, and/or simply don't listen. During one visit, our server was still in training when they decided to let her help us by herself. That resulted in us receiving incorrect orders, and something as simple as refills went unfulfilled for long periods of time. When her trainer took over, things went more smoothly, but the damage was done. To balance that out, I dined by myself one Sunday afternoon and there was only 1 server on the floor. That server was on top of things - he knew the menu, offered and explained the menu, and helped me throughout, even hooking up silent refills. That was an excellent experience, good enough to keep this Bonchon within my Hilltop rotation. Combined with 1 or 2 solid visits, this Bonchon is overall good to go. I will still stick with the notion that service is inconsistent, but at the same time I haven't seen a single employee twice (meaning turnover here is high). Final note - it's never been busy during any of my visits, so I don't know how well they're doing here. Mind you, I've never come in on a Friday or Saturday night but I fear that this Bonchon might not make it long term. Regardless, their chicken is excellent (albeit pricey). Thank you, Bonchon! It's more of an Asian fusion type place and they have a very limited menu, but what they do have is very, very good. I highly recommend trying that beef fried rice thing. I've included a picture of it. It was freaking awesome. You won't be disappointed, but I would strongly suggest going to the restaurant and you'll probably even have a better meal. The next time I'm in Virginia Beach, which is quite often I'll probably just drop in to the restaurant myself.
