I didn't get a chance to check out the Mazatlan before the renovations, but it looks immaculate with all of the renovations. The food and staff are awesome. I highly suggest the chicken burritos, they are huge and filling! The Mazatlan has the best salsa in all of Klamath Falls hands down! It's a very family friendly restaurant with tons of different options to choose from. I haven't had any of their alcohol, but i can say the food is top notch and the wait staff does a great job of taking care of your and providing refills on salsa, chips and soda. read more

Great lunch, great service and a great looking renovated dining room and facility. Was really impressed with lunch. Of course the first test of a great Mexican restaurant is the salsa. Had my moms birthday here. 4 tables got food before us and we were seated prior to their arrival. The staff couldn't find our reservations. All the food was cold. I used to like this place but I'll never be back. I usually tip the staff VERY well. This trip didn't deserve anything. This should NEVER have happened. The most remarkable thing about this restaurant is its very large menu selection. In addition to all the usual dishes found in most U.S. Mexican restaurants, there are a couple dozen seafood dishes and a number of steak dishes. We started off with a couple of margaritas. Unfortunately, these tasted more like lime Cool Aid than a margarita. I had a tasty and nicely seasoned Arroz con Camarones and my girlfriend had Chicken Enchiladas ala Crema which she enjoyed but was too tame for my tastes. Service was good. The most memorable part of our dining experience was watching a couple girls, approximately two and three years old, at the table next to us as they tasted the rather spicy salsa. The two year old did pretty well until she bit into a chunk of jalapeno. Without uttering a sound, her eyes widened and her face grimaced as she grabbed her bottle of milk. Passing through the state use to good Sonoma county California Mexican food not impressed with quality of food. Might be good for the area but don't know. Got chicken flautas and they were soggy when they brought it to us. The sauce they used tasted like canned enchilada sauce. The rice did not have much flavor whatsoever. The guacamole Fresca was good as well as the horchata. The restaurant seems clean and bathrooms are nice. Good for big party's as well as long as the servers and kitchen can keep up. read more

My family and I came here for dinner for father's day and were quite disappointed. Let's start with the good things... Their enchiladas a la crema is always delicious. I can't seem to find it better at other mexican restaraunts. And that about sums up the good parts of our visit tonight. Our server was not very friendly at all and seemed like he had somewhere better to be the entire night. We had to ask for more salsa three times before we got it, and had to ask for to go boxes twice. My dad was handed a blended margarita instead of on the rocks like he'd ordered. My dad also ordered the Mazatlan Special and after we reviewed the menu a second time, still could not figure out what dish they had actually brought out to him. The dish he ordered was supposed to have flank steak and chile relleno, and instead got some other cut of meat, chicken breast, and rice. I had a combination special with a burrito, which was alright without the mountain of cold lettuce on top, with chile relleno which tasted awful. My boyfriend and mother got the enchiladas a la crema which, as I said earlier, was good. I think I'll stick with Los Potrillos. read more

Pretty terrible. Tacos were dry and did not have much flavor. Cheese enchilada was indelible. Chips were stale and the salsa tasted like it came from a jar or can. There was nothing "super" about the super nachos. It was also expensive for the quality of food that was received. read more

Terriable!!!! Gross!!! The service was okay but the food was not. It took almost an hour to get our food and when we did get it some of our food was very cold. I got the carne asada plate and when i got it......it looked like beef jerky very thin, dry, and no flavor. So to help with the flavor of my so called steak my daughter had mole and ask if i could get just a side of the mole sauce and she came back and said they couldnt because the sauce is FROZEN and only thawed out per order.....im sorry buy thats so sad, mole is a great sauce and to freeze it is very weird to me. So no i will not go back here again they can keep their frozen food to order! read more

Went here for my mom's birthday, the waitress noticed us giving my mom a little gift and recognized it was her birthday so they brought her out a free dessert and sang Happy birthday, without us even mentioning it was her birthday..So sweet. We have been going to the Mazatlan Grill since it's opening a number of years ago. Sad to see that they have gone down hill so far. The seatting (benches) are horrible. When you sit down you sink in about a foot. The table had not been wiped off from the previous diners. They forgot my drink order. I had to find the waiter after he took our order because he forgot to ask about one of the options on my specific dish. I ordered the fajitas and they were delicious, however, the flour tortillas were dried out and basically uneatable As mentioned in another review, there are too many other good Mexican restaurants in the area to have an unenjoyable in this one. read more

I went here on a Saturday night, a night I would usually avoid the competition mexican food place because it's too loud and busy. This was my first time at Mazatlan Grill. It was myself, my husband, two friends and our 16 month old son. They had a good setup for kids and it was nice and quiet so we actually got to visit with our friends. The food was good. I had the chicken tortilla soup and it was significantly better than Los Potrillos. The portions were enormous. My husband had a margarita, and he agreed with the other gentlemen who said that they lacked alcohol. Everyone else at the table liked their food as well (chile verde, chimichanga, beef enchiladas). The salsa was good as well. The only reason they don't get five stars is the service. The waiter came once to get our orders and once to put the food down. I kept trying to get his attention in-between to ask him to bring my son's food as soon as it was ready. Most restaurants do this automatically with young kids, but not here. He got a little unruly before the food got to us, and his was the last plate brought. The waiter must not have kids. Prices were reasonable. read more
