The service was excellent. The presentation of the food was pleasantly surprising. The food was delicious and the margaritas were very good.

I do understand competition pricing but pricing extra charges that Mazatlan charged us today for a party of three was outrageous! We all ordered three drinks and three plates all totaling between $18 and $20 and yet the bill came to $81 because they charge $3.75 for the bean dip that we asked for with the chips, and then they charge an additional $3.75 for extra beans which they did not give, it was the regular portion, and then they also charge $1.00 for the green jalapeño that I asked for which should have been free considering it came with the dish. They even charge an additional dollar and $.99 for the limes who charges for limes? You can go to Costco and get a whole bag for three dollarsI I was extremely disappointed as well as they have gone up on pricing for all of their dishes especially their wings they used to be $8.99 now they're $12! And I gave and additional 21% tip on top of that! But, will not, ever, be eating there again! read more

I had a friend once tell me there were no good places to eat in Everett. I am happy to say that Mazatlan has proved him wrong. My co-workers and I eat here for lunch about once a week for the past 2 years. The food is really great, every time. Never had a bad meal. The wait staff is very fast and friendly. We love how they give you hot bean dip with the chips and salsa. Pass up Taco Bell and Taco Time and get a much better meal here! read more

Horrible service. It took 20 minutes to get the drinks we had ordered and I had to ask 2 workers for our server cause we had been waiting to order our food for 30 minutes. It took 3 times of asking for water to get it. Food finally came out but the nachos were missing and I had to remind our server about them. The place wasn't even that busy at the time. food was average (looked like it was microwaved and tasted about the same), service was ok, unfortunately their alcoholic drinks are very weak had a margarita and a mojito (made with brown wilting mint leaves and lime pieces that had brown spots all over the rind like limes rotting on the ground) and not even a light buzz over all i would rate it as a 1 out of 5. prices are also pretty high. A few hours later and now i feel sick like i have been poisoned! (ran to the bathroom 4 times for bowel movements since i got home 3 hours ago, and i feel like vomiting too) Will NOT be returning. My first time here I was hoping to be a great one. It started out ok until our waiter came over. The menu for their margaritas didn't show a lot of flavors so I simply asked if what was shown the only flavors they had. The waiter rudely replied back "no, that's just the different tequila, so what do want to drink?" We ordered our margaritas, but hadn't decided what we wanted to eat yet. The waiter kept coming by the table asking if we were ready to order like WE were keeping him waiting or being an inconvenience for not knowing right away. When we were ready I asked if I could have carnia sada I knew it was going to be extra since I've done it before so it wasn't a problem, but the waiter continued to be rude and told me he would charge me extra and I couldn't have the combo. I was shocked I proceeded to look for a differing entree and he said it would be the same with that one as well. I then gave up and just got a supreme challupa with shredded chicken. As we were eating he came over once to see how we were. Once we were done I wanted to use the restroom before we left, I was wanting to fix my hair make sure no food is in my teeth and one of the waitresses came in the same time and I noticed she opened the door on one stall and then went into the other one. When I went into that stall I saw that there was vomit on the floor and toilet seat, DISGUSTING! I couldn't believe it. She told me she saw it was there and no one cleaned it up. When I got back to the table I saw the place had the lights off so clearly the place was closing. My boyfriend looked really annoyed and I asked what happened and he said that guy is just rude. I asked what he said and my boyfriend told me while I was gone, our waiter told him "we're closed now so you have to go." I couldn't believe how HORRIBLE this experience was and trust me we will NEVER be back!!! read more

Outstanding service! We just tried this hidden gem in Everett, and decided this was our new favorite Mexican restaurant! Close to downtown Everett, the navy base, and the marina. Tasty drinks, extensive menu, attentive staff and manager, plus beautiful decor. This will be our new favorite local restaurant for bringing out of town guests, and great meals for us. Near Hampton Inn, and waking distance from Everett downtown Marriott. Beautiful interior decor, and an excellent spot to bring business clients too. So happy we discovered this place! read more

Start to finish, just superb!! service, comfort, good fare all make this restaurant a great choice for a quick lunch or family gathering! We have done both over the past two weeks and will make this one of our favorite Everett based restaurants! Ease of parking and connection between garage and building makes this a no-brainer! We hired Mazatlan to cater our son's wedding reception of 127 people. Working with Marci and Ricardo was great, they are very customer service oriented and came up with a menu that worked for us at a reasonable price. They were very responsive, flexible, and easy to work with. They arrived on time, and brought all the food, plus warmers, plates, napkins, utensils, and help for serving the buffet. I heard from many guests how delicious the food was, and we agree, it was extremely good! We had both meat and non-meat eating guests, and the only hiccup we had was that the vegetarian entrees were not marked or made known, so it made it confusing and some of our no-meat guests ended up with just rice and beans. That was just a hiccup in the planning that I'm sure will be overcome it the situation arises for them again. Only to get there and they said rudely "next time its going to be 45 mins remember that" excuse me but don't tell me 25 mins on the phone to be rude as hell to me when we get there and have purchased our food. Bueno!! We had the clam from the appetizer menu for starters- they were fresh, and very tasty. Seafood chimichanga was a delight, as were the other three entrees we ordered. Only one type of salsa with the chips, but it was fresh, and very good. Wait staff were also friendly, attentive and courteous. Go there for happy hour and try out a few things- that how it started for us, but we had a good hunch that dinner would also be worth trying. No disappointment! Mazatlan has got a pretty extensive menu, so you're pretty much guaranteed to find something that will pique your interest. Plates are large but the portions are deceptively small. If you're looking for an authentic Mexican joint, this ain't it. But Mazatlan delivers as is...pretty standard Mexican cuisine for a fair price (bordering on the expensive side), but the happy and cheerful servers definitely pushed this rating to a high 3. read more

This is our favorite Mexican restaurant. The food is great. Tons of amazing meals if you are willing to step up, you get what you pay for. Don't go to Mazatlan and order a bean burrito then complain about bland food. I recommend the bacon wrapped prawns and a Cadillac margarita. The servers are friendly and the place is always spotless. THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE!!! If I could give negative stars I absolutly would! On a night my boyfriend thought he could give me a great dinner, it was shattered by this place. We ordered a platter, and the chicken was cold on the inside, like they through it in the microwave...BUT the plate was hot...than I asked for a water, after 5 sips in, I realized my water was FULL OF KNATS!!! All he gave me was another glass of water, after I complained about all these things, he said he would take half off a purchase. First time we went months ago, just didn't really care for it but we wanted to give it another try because it is so conveniently located! THIS TIME...I asked for fish tacos and got shrimp tacos. Normally, I would be ok with that but they tasted icky and fishy so I told them. BUT, I was STARVING so I just said I wanted a plain old chicken taco and I will eat the rice and beans. DO NOT redo my order! She brought me the chicken taco pretty quick and said my fish tacos would be ready soon. I said AGAIN, I don't want the fish tacos, this chicken taco is fine. 2 minutes later she brought me the fish tacos and tried to take away my half eaten chicken taco. I told her to give me back the taco and I didn't want the new tacos. She insisted that they already made them so fine, I'll take them to go (they smelled fishy so I knew I was just going to throw them away) AS LONG AS I DON'T HAVE TO PAY FOR THEM. 10 minutes later I had to ask someone for a box. I packed up my fish tacos and waited for the bill. The bill had SHRIMP tacos on it AND they charged my boyfriend 50 cents for ordering his chimichanga CHICKEN! WHO does THAT??? They took 15% off the bill. I am assuming that was their makeup for the error. At this point I was just plain annoyed and wanted to leave. I paid it, tipped ONLY on my boyfriends meal, left with my box, gave the box to a guy sleeping under a tarp in the parking garage and we agreed that out of the 5,000 Mexican restaurants in Everett, we do not EVER need to go back there again. read more

LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS PLACE!! Needed a place to go eat with family and friends for my 21st birthday and got recomended Mazatlan from a friend who said she loved coming here for their real authentic mexican food. So we made reservations.We showed up with 20 or so guests they immediatly showed us to our table that was already set up with menus which was very convinent. By the time we were all seated we recieved are chips and salsa which by the way they have the best salsa I've ever tasted!! Our waiter showed up and took our drinks we ordered a variety of diffrent drinks mojitos, shots, but my favorite would have to be their signature mazatlan margarita. We finally ordered our food I got the tres mares since I love seafood and it was delicous. I asked around the table to see if everyone's food was tasteing good we all agreed it was very good and full of taste. We got great food, great service and I'm very pleased with how everything turned out. 100% recommend everyone to go out and try this place out!! read more
