Service was good, food was better, the one downfall was that their "in-house margarita" came from a hose. We had the Molcajete Jalisco which includes: Shrimp, Steak, Chicken, Nopales, Chorizo, etc. with a side of rice and beans. Pretty delicious and big enough for 2 to share, that's what we did. Service is quick and efficient. They have a full bar and a selection of Mescal drinks and a wide selection of tequilas. The menu has all the usual offerings, but also offers a wide selection of seafood and off the beaten path specialty dishes. I really enjoyed my lamb shank slow cooked in a delicious sauce. Came in at a very busy time but was seated very quickly. The staff was attentive and I was served much faster than expected with the amount of people in there. Worst Mexican food in Everett! Avoid! I had a carnitas burrito on the lunch menu. The carnitas were one giant mass of COLD pork in the center of a SMALL burrito. Did United Airlines buy Mazatlan? Dinner was solid in all aspects except one. Waiter suggested guacamole while taking drink order. I later found on the menu it was the only item with no price - it was marked as 'Market Price'. Turns out it was $13 including tax and tip. I have never liked hidden fees. read more

Super solid Mexican food that always hits the spot! This place is close by where I work and I can always rely on Mazatlan for a lunch or dinner option. They have some pretty decent and affordable lunch options, one of my favorites is the chicken tacos with chips and salsa. Came here on a recommendation for a late lunch and had an amazing meal! Service is stellar, food is delicious, and the restaurant is beautiful! They do a fantastic job at everything they do here. We had a surf and turf dinner which was loaded with deliciousness, rice & beans in awesome taco shell bowls! A molcajete and some delicious enchiladas de Jalisco. The food is OK, but I prefer a different Mexican restaurant that is around there. The nachos were great, and the fajitas as well, but I think their taco salad leaves a lot to be desired. They use iceberg lettuce which reminds me of eating cheap school lunches, and the flavor just wasn't that great. In terms of service, the people are really nice and we did not have to wait very long for a seat or to get our order taken. I'd give the service a 4 or 5 out of 5. Overall, I probably wouldn't go back and eat at this restaurant myself. However if a friend of mine wanted to eat here, I wouldn't mind going. The street tacos are good, the cheese dip (queso) is good, the chips and salsa are good. My only complaint about this place is that the tequila they use in all of their margaritas is bottom shelf swill and tastes like isopropyl alcohol, completely ruining the drink. They could be vastly improved with a more quality tequila. Their other cocktails that don't use tequila are good though. Went today for lunch sat out on the patio. I guess it just opened yesterday. The food is typical Mexican food that's already been premade and just put on the plate with rice and beans. My biggest disappointment was the service. The waiter brought us some chips and salsa, and after about 10 minutes, I finally went inside and asked for some water and napkins. A waitress brought it out for us who was not waiting on our table. Then our waiter came out, brought us our cocktail and took our order. Later he dropped off our lunch. I was having tacos and I wanted to have some salsa which I didn't have, so I had to go inside and ask for salsa. The food was ok. The service was terrible. We sat in the bar and the server acted like he had an attitude problem, not friendly at all. We did receive our food fast, it was hot, but as far as the portions, the Happy Hour Tacos that we used as an appetizer seemed to be a bigger portion than the meals. We were about 45 minutes from the appointment and gave it a shot. Was empty at 1215 but since it's a holiday there wasn't much happening in downtown Everett. I've seen this place for years but never went in. It's located on street level of an apartment building. The decor is what you would expect for a typical chain and the food was about the same. I had chicken super nachos and it was decent. The service was fast and efficient and the menu is large. Mrs. Billy D likes Sangria and they have a good one here. Prices are adjusted for inflation (thanks Brandon) so be prepared there. In this world of $20 burgers it was on par. They have decent specials during their Happy Hour 3-6. Clean location with a good amount of booths and a cool roomy bar area. First of all, their menu was intimidating and sooo many options. For me.. it's not really a good look when you have tons of options because I feel like they don't master their dishes or they are quick prep meals. I ordered the deluxe burrito and my daughter got the kids chicken tenders with rice & beans. My burrito was a good size.. but i wouldn't call it a burrito. Tasted like a huge enchilada.. just covered with enchilada sauce & cheese so it wasn't really what I was craving. My daughter loved her meal.. glad they offer chicken tenders. At the beginning of COVID this restaurant was hit hard and it has not gotten easier for the owner. Between people ordering large food orders and never picking up, exponentially rising food costs and lack of employees the owner has tried to keep up with demand and quality. Probably not it's more so like Azteca and those other chain restaurants, but it's all that I've been able to find that is decent in my search for good Mexican food since moving to the area. I've ordered from here a few times before and it's been fine except today though I wasn't impressed. Everything was extremely salty so whomever was preparing got really excited and went bananas with the salt shaker. Drink a lot of water, lol. This will be our last venture to Mazatlan--the chips and salsa portion was super small compared to our past purchases so that was sad, but I'm guessing it might be inflation? I am trying so hard to be patient with anyone working in the service industry but today the level of service was beyond poor. Hands down, the food and beverages were great, so I'm being generous with 2 stars. The lack of personality, avoiding eye contact, waiting way to long for everything, was cause for this review. Never have I had to wait for chips and water to come out at a Mexican restaurant, 20 minutes! Then another 7 for the waiter to take our order. We were there for over 30 minutes before we finally got water, waited longer and our drinks came out and I kid you not, 50 minutes after being seated our entrees finally came out.
