On 5/25/24 at approximately 1315 hours, I came to Discount Tire (Dawsonville, GA location Store # 44) to get four Falken Wildpeak 255/55/19 tires put onto my 2014 Acura MDX SH-AWD Advance. The OEM Acura wheels at this time were unchipped, scratched, and etc. Discount tire employees were able to work on my vehicle at approximately 1340 hours. After approximately 15 minutes later. They were finished with installing my tires. I thought this was extremely fast as I never experienced such a fast service. Later on the same day at approximately 1532 hours at my residence, I was cleaning/removing the mounting lube from my new tires and wheels. While cleaning, I observed several scratches on the edge of all 4 of my wheels. Upon closer inspection, the scratches are into the clear coat/paint and I was unable to polish it out. I also noticed clear coat chips on 2 of 4 wheels that appear to been produced affer the mounting of the new tires. I also noticed a chip on wheel area where the lug nut holes area. I also observed a few chips on the edge of lips of the wheels as well. Affer I observing these damages, I called Discount Tire (Dawsonville) where I spoke to Austin on the phone. Mr. Austin advised me to email photos of the damages of the wheels as I was unable to come back because of me having to pick up my baby. Austin later called me and advised me that he would be able to refinish the wheels or replace them with aftermarket wheels of my choice. I informed him that I did not want the genuine Acura wheels refinished due to longterm durability of the wheels. I advised that I would prefer new replacement OEM wheels. I never got a call back by Austin as it appeared he forwarded me to their 3rd party claims company (Fleet Response). They blamed me for the damages for the wheels and offered me $200 as a goodwill. Affer I complained and said the marks on my wheels were made by a machine as you can clearly see and it wasn't previous damages. They upped the reimbursement to $600 which still doesn't cover Acura Oem replacement wheels of $2300. I was super upset and contacted Discount Tire customer service where they said they would follow up with me by having a store manager contact me. It's been over 2 weeks and I still have not heard anything. I would highly avoid this location as they are not careful with your wheels and will lie and blame you for the damages that they clearly caused by their wheel mounting machine.

This location has a reasonable wait time and I always feel they do a good job. When you buy tires rotation and balance is included for the life of the tires. They will also match competitors pricing. I buy an extra warranty for my tires so that if the tires pick up a nail they will repair it free. The waiting room is clean and comfortable with seating and a desk top if you need to bring your laptop.

DISAPPOINTED! Buyer beware of HUGE markups on parts (up to 200%), opting for aftermarket parts…read morethat almost fit and Regional Management uninterested in customer service! (Kudos to Marshall and Wayne for trying!) We trusted this Express Oil location with oil changes and repairs since 2021. Unfortunately, a major repair in March 2025 revealed very serious issues. The shop installed aftermarket rear strut assemblies. Afterward, Honda performed an alignment and found the rear camber at -2.2° and -1.9°, outside factory specifications. Rear camber on this vehicle is not adjustable, so the geometry should fall within spec if the correct parts are used. Express Oil insists the parts are correct, even though the car cannot be aligned properly and now requires additional repair. Managers tried to reason with Regional Manager, but they declined replacing the part. The Managers are not allowed to provide Regional Manager contact information, so further communication must go through corporate. This same shop previously damaged the vehicle's oil-pan threads over time and a self-tapping screw was needed. Store managers, Marshall and Wayne, were polite and tried to help, but corporate policy blocked any real resolution. Because of this experience and the alignment results, I no longer trust their mechanical work. I recommend caution when having major repairs done here and suggest confirming all parts with the dealer before approving service. SO FRUSTRATED!

I took my set of golf cart wheels here to get new tires…read moreput on them and when I got home to mount them, I first noticed about a 3in bend on the face edge, no big deal, then I noticed the wheel wasn't sitting flat to the hub. After further inspection, their tire machine must have slipped or they didn't know what they were doing because it bent the crap out of the center of the wheel, obviously where it would've mounted to their machine. It must have slipped or hung up when they were taking the old tire off. Wish I would've stayed to see it happen. Luckily, I was able to beat the edge and the center back to somewhat flat with a rubber mallet. Also, $25 per wheel (to just mount the tires, no balancing) is pretty steep. All in all, I won't be going back here for fear of them messing up another wheel.
