An absolutely 5-star experience, she took the time to really listen to what I needed: medium pressure in certain areas, deep pressure in others. I was able to tell her that I didn't want certain areas of my body to be touched (my arms/hands/feet) and to please focus on others (neck/right shoulder), and she took all my requests to heart. Absolutely amazing massage with Ruth! I consider myself a massage connoisseur and I can say this was one of the best massages I've had. Some massage therapists will just go through their routine, but Ruth sought out all the knots and tension in my back, neck and shoulders and worked some magic. Pressure was just right. I also loved that when I was face up, she adjusted the massage bed slightly up so it was more of a recline than laying straight on my back. And a warm towel under my neck. I left feeling so relaxed. The staff were kind for our couples massage but it was a boring massage. I asked for deep tissue and it was definitely not deep tissue. Wouldn't recommend paying for the stones either as they just roll them back and forth for a minute which was a waste of money. A truly great experience. These last few months I have been experiencing increased headaches and upper back pain. I was well aware that my muscles in my neck and shoulders were knotty to say the least. As a frequent diner at the Hyatt's restaurants I was aware there was a spa but never looked into it. One, gotta say making an appointment was easy. I love online booking and this just was the best. There's such transparency with available times and prices of the various services I was just pleased. I was able to quickly set up an account and book within a matter of minutes. The day of my appointment I was able to check-in online. I found this to be very handy. I had to fill out paperwork for my first visit but that was no big deal. The spa is probably the tiniest spa that I have been to. The people who built this hotel obviously thought it was a warranted addition but didn't give them a lot of space. There's like three treatment rooms and a small lobby. Not that they really need that much space to be honest but it caught me a little off guard. It fits the hotel aesthetics with dark wood tones and a modern look. The treatment room itself is relaxing. Music is piped in through overhead speakers, lighting is adjustable, the table is comfortable, and the heated pad during the winter months made it cozy. Truthfully they could have just left me there for an hour and I would have been fine. Ha! Samantha was my masseuse and she was great. She asked many detailed questions during the session and did her best to work my shoulder without beating me up too badly. I am not the greatest client as I have a tendency to tense when my shoulders are worked. It is the opposite effect I'm going for but that's on me. I typically leave feeling exhausted but I find I have better mobility and range of motion in the following days. At the time of this writing covid protocols are still fully in effect. Be prepared to wear a mask so make sure it's one you're the most comfortable with! read more

I had a staycation at the hotel and indulged at the Spa. Marisol was wonderful. Everything was clean and my appt was right on time. I highly recommend the Keratin hair add on. To be able to get a warm scalp massage too is just perfect. Just make sure you have plans to go back to your room/home afterwards they logistically can't wash your hair on the bed. I felt so relaxed afterwards and it was great to wrap up the year learning a lot about where I was holding tension and stress. I came here for the organic facial during my staycation at the Hyatt and was so relaxed and sleepy by the end of my session! I have year round allergies and noticed right away that my face looked less puffy especially around my eyes and nose. It's been 2 days since my visit and my skin is still soft and smooth. Showed up 25 minutes early to my appointment for a 60 minute massage and an add on warm keratin lavender scalp mask, I noticed my appointment was at 1:45 instead of 1:30 so I got food upstairs and came back down and checked in at 1:40 because you can only check in 10 minutes early as noted in their email they sent me. I'm sitting there for a while and notice that nobody's coming out to get me from the waiting area and the door to the salon has a sign that says something among the lines of service currently in progress and the email told me to check in and that somebody will come and get me so I just went and patiently sat back down. About 5 minutes after my appointment was supposed to start I get a text asking if I'm on the way, I tell them I'm here and have checked in twice, and then I receive a call at the 8 min mark asking me if I'm on my way despite me txting them and they tell me they'll come out and get me so by the time my massage actually started it was probably around 2pm which I didn't mind because I naïvely thought they would also see that this was clearly on them and make enough time for my services. The scalp treatment felt amazing and like she was really taking her time but the massage felt super quick and not thorough, the only reason why it's 2 stars is because the lady who gave me the massage was super sweet and I had a feeling that none of this was in her control and just what she was instructed to do by her boss. When she says my massage is over I look at the clock and it's 2:45, despite me having a 60 minute massage and paying for an extra treatment. I should not have been penalized time for their tardiness and them being unorganized, I also would never have payed for the scalp treatment add on if I had known that it was included in the 60 minutes I'm already paying for a massage and I have never seen any other business do this, including ones I've worked for. An add on is called an add on for a reason and you book treatments like that ahead so that the business can make sure that they book out the appropriate time for a service. I would say I received around 20 minutes of a scalp massage and 25 minutes of a body massage. On top of all of this gratuity was included, which I planned on tipping anyways because I appreciated my masseuse just not 20%, and I spent over $200 for something that would be charged less than an express massage at most businesses. read more

I came in for a 50 minute east meets west massage and enjoyed it so much. My massage therapist, Samantha made all the difference. She was so knowledgeable on massage techniques and it really helped my chronic pain. Samantha was also very kind and asked often if I wanted her to change the pressure. She was sympathetic of my situation and made me feel important and appreciated. I wouldn't have changed a thing and hope I can come visit Seattle again just so I can stop by for a massage with her.
