What an amazing experience...again. I just picked up my 1972 Cutlass Supreme and couldn't be…read morehappier! This is either the 11th or 12th transmission they have done for me. Just this year they have also rebuilt the C6 in a 77 F150 2WD and the transmission and transfer case in my 78 Bronco 4X4. I really appreciate them taking care of my classics, but they've also done the transmissions in my Ranger 4x4, Cadillac STS4, Charger RT AWD and more. They have also done brakes, air conditioning, etc. for us. No one wants the expense of a car repair but when I pay for my repair, I feel I've gotten great value and it always comes with amazing customer service. Did I mention that I go out of my way to use them? I live at least 45 minutes away and when I've been stranded, I've had vehicles towed long distances just so I'd have the piece of mind that comes from doing business with someone I trust. Good luck with your repair. Tell them Brian sent you. It won't be the first time they've heard that. ;-)

Extremely dissatisfied and disappointed. Took my F150 because my transmission was slipping. They…read morequoted me $6,500 to replace the transmission but wouldn't provide me with the estimate. I took it to Downriver Transmission, who a friend trusts, where they found the transmission fluid was low due to a corroded line and transfer case seal. They also replaced the bushing and U joints. All for under $1,500. More than 1,000 miles later it's running great and doesn't need a transmission. A Plus didn't mention checking the fluid level or the line, etc. At best, this seems negligent for not checking the level. At worst, they would have replaced a transmission that didn't need to be replaced then maybe found the other stuff. Yes, it was inconvenient but totally worth it to save at a minimum $5,000.

I hate spending money on car repairs but as luck would have it after giving them a review on my…read moreprevious experience.... I had to use Prompt Transmission this week. I have an older Yukon and of course it had to breakdown and leak tranny fluid all over my friends driveway when the temperature was ZERO! I drove away not knowing I had a leak and pulled over less than a mile away because the transmission was acting erratically. I was pretty upset as I felt that I might have trashed my tranny.... A $2500 repair. I had my Yukon towed to Prompt and the owner Chuck got it in right away. He said that it appeared that I hadn't damage the trans since they added fluid and drove it, but it had a serious leak. They pulled the transmission and found that something on the torque convertor had sheered off and that the pump bearing that had been previously used was plastic and it should have been metal. I had had the transmission rebuilt less than two years ago by a guy out of his pole barn when I fell on hard times. Clearly that was a mistake. I got what I paid for. Chuck offered to let me take it back to the guy who repaired it previously. I said that I wanted Chuck to fix it right. He did and I picked up my truck today. He was very fair with me on the repair bill. Thank you Chuck!
