These guys are great! They are professional and do perfect work. They are friendly and communicative (Marcos and his brother Jonathan). Their office is on top of it as well. They had done work here before removing a huge palm tree by the pool, lacing pepper trees, etc. and the outcome was so nice and they cleaned up well afterwards. We were so pleased with our experience we called them back to remove another giant tree. They are going to do stump removal as well. We got several bids to trim trees. MC Tree Service came in right about in the middle. They provided a "firm price" and appeared professional when they came out, but after getting about 80% done with the trees, we were told that it would cost more to complete the work. We reminded them that they stated that their price is firm, and we told them that that was one reason we chose their bid for the work. it wasn't an estimate; it was a firm price to complete very clear work, trimming trees they saw in person and up close. We would never use them again, as they can't be trusted. They also didn't clean up all of the mess. read more

We have used Martin (pronounced "Marteen") and his crew for 12 years at our home in Encinitas. His sons Marcos and Jonathan have learned from an expert - every single job they have performed - whether large or small - was done professionally and perfectly. Fees are very reasonable and the crew is amazing to watch as they gracefully and seemingly effortlessly climb very tall eucalyptus trees to gingerly shape them. If our idea is not what Martin thinks is wise, he will politely and diplomatically explain what he thinks should be done - never to add cost to the job but to do it properly.
