This was my first time eating at McAlister's after hearing my daughter talk about it. So first after looking at the menu and seeing the Honey BBQ Pork Spud- Yum, I knew what I wanted! So for one I realized after I ordered and already drove away that the Honey BBQ Pork Melt sandwich went into detail and described the bbq sauce as being "Honey MUSTARD bbq sauce" (something that the Bbq Spud should have described as well) when the Spud did not, so I called the store to ask and sure enough it was Honey Mustard and I CANNOT STAND mustard or anything with mustard. They did offer to remake it for me but again I had already drove away and was too far to turn around, but the worst part of all was after I scraped the "Mustard" bbq off and started to eat- the potato tasted like it was a reheated potato from the night before and then I realized it had very little pork on it. I've eaten at several McAlisters and always get the same meal. Chef Salad with Horseradish and Roast Beef. The restaurant started off good and food was exactly to order however last two times I've been in cleveland restaurant the meat portion in the salad is half of what it was and the roast beef sandwich is all bread with no meat. Along with the less portions the price has gone up. Restaurant is clean and service good but food portions have gone down and price has gone up. My mom was also with me and she normally gets club sandwich and spud and the same was true. The club had less meat and the potato had half the toppings. read more

I came to check out this McAlister's in Cleveland with a friend about a month after they first opened. We arrived around 4:30 so the place wasn't very busy. The inside feels new and clean and the staff were all very friendly. The menu is large so my friend and I both opted for the Choose 2 option: I got a roast beef sandwich and loaded baked potato, and he got a turkey sandwich and a bowl of soup. While the food tasted good, the price was outrageous for the tiny half sandwich. With a drink added, the total came to over $12. That seemed a bit off to me and I shared a picture of the size of my sandwich with another friend who's frequented McAlister's across the country. He confirmed: that was a very small sandwich portion and not the usual size. I know that this is a brand new location for McAlister's in Cleveland and that mistakes happen. That being said, it's a national chain, and I expected better. Hopefully they've made the proper adjustments so that the people of Cleveland can get their hard-earned money's worth. read more

Service is usually trash. The bread always tastes stale. It's usually pretty clean though. I went through the drive through to get a sweet tea that I ordered online and it was almost clear. I asked the guy if he could change it or why it was clear.. he took it over to his coworker, told them what I said, giggled, then brought me the same one back. When you have a sickly family member around the holidays that is not a time to be gambling with where you get your soup and sandwich. You have to without a doubt that the chicken noodle or tomato with grilled cheese is going to hit the spot. That's why when my wife wasn't feeling well while we were out of town I knew this was the place to come. Now if you're looking for easy parking, this may not be the best scenario. It is on the end of a number of stores and restaurants, but they all share a narrow parking lot. I just want you to be prepared in case it's a rainy or cold day. But once inside, the setup funnels you straight to the front to order. I am a big fan of their mix and match options (Listen, I wasn't sick that day. I was hungry.). Now when the stomach is truly growling though, a potato is the only option. They have one that is basically a barbecue sandwich atop a massive spud. Aka, calories and carbs for days. Side note: The one weird thing about my experience here was that I couldn't find a single trash can. What a joke! This McAlister's closes at 8:00 and when you go in at 7:00 they claim they don't have half their menu. They shut down 3/4 of their dining room and crowd everyone into one section so they don't have to clean. I used to eat here all the time but the last few times have been horrible. This would be a great place for a McAlisters. Unfortunately, we waited for over and hour and never received their typically delicious food. We watched as our friends enjoyed their meals. And people who came in after us enjoy theirs. We checked at about 55 min in and they said we still had a few ahead of us. Really? 68min, no food and no apology when I asked for my money back. They will most likely get ur order wrong or leave a major item off ur sandwich order and offer u to come back in with the order to replace it or brush it off instead of taking the time to make it right the first time. The mgr will only offer Vip cards for ur next visit instead of fixing the issues! That store have went down dramatically within the last year or so. Only giving two stars because the food is decent but the carry out service is HORRIBLE. I sat in the pickup line for almost an hour. I had already ordered and paid online... I finally get to the window to get my food and the girl running the window said they didn't have drink carriers for the multiple drinks I had purchased, only bags. She also didn't give us any straws for the drinks. The icing on the cake was getting home and discovering our order was not made correctly and the warm food was cold, which I kinda assumed it would be. Great environment ! Everyone was very friendly and my cashier helped with recommendations. I tried the Jalapeño Turkey Crunch with a side of Mac and Cheese and a Strawberry Sweet tea. I enjoyed everything I ate the jalapeño crunch is not spicy and does have jalapeño chips in the sandwich. I love their food but I'm really tired of not getting what I ordered. They almost always leave your pickle out when ordering take out. Why have that option on your app if you aren't going to give it to me when I pick I want a pickle. Also when I've put a call in order and asked for special crackers I've not received them. I just don't understand how you can leave out what people ask for and/or pick on your app. They really need to train these people better. McAlister's Deli is a good place to eat but its not my favorite. My husband and I went here when they first opened. I ordered a sandwich with a cup of soup. The cashier asked us if we wanted to try their fruity teas ( peach and I think blackberry? ) they were really good but for a drink it was actually pretty expensive. We weren't aware on how much the drink was so if we would've known we would've said no thanks. My sandwich was pretty good but I thought the mustard they put on it was a little too sweet for me but my soup was really good. Will try this place again soon. read more

We went there today and were never greeted by the four employees that we saw. No one even asked to take our order or acknowledged our presence. We stood there for almost 10 mins before we just decided to leave. As soon as we walked out the Caucasian man behind us was greeted and was able to place his order. I have ordered from McAlister's Deli in Cleveland, Tennessee both personally and for catering for my employer (Wacker Polysilicon) and for the most part have been pleased with the outcome. However, I ordered a potato bar on 4/26/22 and was extremely disappointed. While the potatoes were huge, cooked very well and arrived hot, they really skimped on their toppings. I paid extra for the meat toppings (ham, turkey and bacon) as well as the jalapenos and they did not provide enough to go around. The lunch was for 10 men and they should have sent more than double the quantity of toppings they sent. I will not be ordering this from them again and will let my co-workers know as well. read more

Some people are impossible to please and look for ways to gripe about anything throughout their day. This place is incredible and just as good as any McCalisters. I went to McAlisters because a friend recommended when I got there the restaurant stunk but I continued to order I got a French dip and potato soup and when I got to the table the table was really dirty and sticky there were a bunch of employees standing around but I sat down and took a bite of my sandwich and it was ice cold I asked to speak to the manager and cinnamon and she was really rude to me told me that she would remake it but when I got the sandwich back it was still on the same plate and it was really soggy like it was just microwaved. Shout out to Mark the manager at McAlister's for making me reorder and pay for my food after the guy at the window admitting their server was down and their app has "been crazy all day." My order went through for two pick 2 meals and for some reason it was 4 potatoes total. Let's be honest... Why would I want FOUR potatoes. Why would I spend $40 on potatoes? So I laughed hysterically and Jordan who was working the window said their server went down and they had to fix the orders because everything but the drinks were wiped on the tickets. Anyways. Jordan was super we kind and said he was gonna ask his manager what to do. I just wanted the two half sandwiches that I ordered with my two potatoes. Anyways, the manager named Mark apparently said no. And would not come talk to me. Ofcourse I was mad at this point but with a child in the car and a poor kid at the window who didn't have a say in anything, I wasn't gonna waste much breathe. I even said that I come here atleast once maybe twice a week and a man has personally thanked me for giving them my business during this time. Apparently that doesn't matter. McAlister's made me purchase my two sandwiches separately. So now I have two extra potatoes and I'm out an extra $15-20 between the sandwiches and the extra charges for chili on the potatoes.
