I love Newk's, but like all things private equity touches, the value is no longer there. I ordered the full chicken salad sandwich with a cup of Loaded Potato soup. There had to be less than two oz of soup in the bowl and the full sandwich had maybe three oz of filling on a roll that was less than 6" long. Like I said, the value is no longer there when you leave the restaurant not being satisfied. We arrived to order just before 1pm on a Monday with no other customers in the restaurant. About 4 other customers visited during the 45 minutes we were on site. read more

Ordered the Greek Salad. There's nothing fresh about the salad. The lettuce tastes a few days old. Stems from the peppers were left in the salad. Other locations that I have visited were much better. They refunded my money. So, I will raise the review to three stars. read more

I have been here many times now and it's always good. Today I had the Black and Blue salad and it was delicious. It was a busy Sunday afternoon and tables were hard to find a table but one of the managers came and quickly cleaned a table for us. We love newks and do not have one at home anymore, so we stopped despite the low reviews. I'm so glad we did. The service was extraordinary from the cashier to the kind woman who anticipated my every need. She saw I made a mess on sleeve and she brought me napkins, helped me carry my drinks to a table, and then brought me a drink carrier without me asking. She was just so kind. We had a very large carry out order and everything was right (impressive), hot, and delicious. A woman fell out front and the manager was out helping her up in seconds. We went to this place once again and ordered salmon Caesar salad and Newks Chicken sandwich, both were bad. For whatever reason croutons were on the bottom of the salad, salmon was dry and chicken in my sandwich was so dry and overcooked that it could scratch a person. I will give it another chance, but definitely stay away from salmon and chicken sandwich. read more

They have done a wonderful job with the ambiance and decor - fresh and clean yet inviting. It was a pleasant and easy experience to order and the food came out quickly. Lots of variety too - soup, salad, sandwich, pizza, mac and cheese is what you'll find here. Very tasty whether you're in the mood for hot or cold. I had the shrimp avocado salad. I liked it pretty well but was bulky with all of the lettuce. It could have used a few more toppings. Taste was great though. Kelly loved the pesto sandwich and broccoli cheese soup. It wasnt my favorite (too salty) but I just dont like much salt. He loved it. Overall good experience and would try again. Prices from 8 to 12 bucks. read more

Ok, Chattanooga, get ready for this! It's all new with great food, a very organized, friendly, welcoming and highly trained employees. I can't say enough about the wonderful experience we had at Newk's soft opening last night. We arrived a bit early in case there was a line. Our order was taken at the register by a very sweet young lady and a Manager or Assistant Manager standing by for questions as employees were still technically in training. After placing our orders we were told there is a round table for condiments and napkins in the middle of the floor for us, drinks were to the far right of the room in the back. Our food came fresh from the kitchen to our seats that we chose overlooking the kitchen activities. You can sit at this bar type area and watch them prepare every meal like we did or pick from booths or tables. The layout is very different from a fast food restaurant and more of a full service restaurant since they bring your food to you. They also watch the tables to clear your plates, etc. The management also came by to talk to us and welcome us. I felt we were well taken care of throughout our entire visit. I would definitely go back for so many reasons! read more

Not a lot of positive things to say. Hopefully it's because they're still kind of new. Ordered a steak sandwich with chips, a side of Mac & Cheese with a drink. Placed my order, given a number, and got a seat. No cups in drink area, had to get back in line to get a cup from the girl that took my order with a "my bad" included with my cup. While in line my food arrived at my table shortly before me minus chips. Nobody around to ask so after another line wait, the girl says..."they'll bring that to you. Back to my table to my barely warm sandwich dripping with horseradish sauce. Could barely taste the sandwich but cleared my sinuses. The warm Mac & Cheese was actually tasty, but served hot would have been nice. Still no chips but done with meal. Had high expectations for this place, but poor results. Do NOT waste your money here. The food is bland, way too expensive and every time I have eaten here the "ac is out" and it's 90° inside. The employees look miserable because it's so hot or they just do not want to work. It is a bunch of kids that work here and when I have spoken to the managers about these things most of them have been pleasant but josh whom I met the other night, Is rude as hell and does not speak to his customers pleasantly and I've seen him speak to his employees like they do not matter. My girlfriend got the BBQ Chicken pizza and when she picked up the first sliced it fell apart due to the nasty amount of grease.I am all for newks but I'll drive 2 hours to Nashville before coming to this one unless things change because the past 4 times I have came it has been a terrible experience. Had a very good experience here. Went twice for their training events. The service was extremely friendly and helpful. You order up front, take a number, and have a seat. There's a large round table with complimentary condiments and add-on items. They serve salads, pizza, sandwiches, soup, and dessert. The salads are very large. We tried the ahi tuna, black and bleu, and shrimp avocado salad. The portions are very generous, but the tuna was completely cooked through, not seared. A little too much dressing for my taste. The pizza was the star of the meals. Spicy chicken pizza was good, the Newk's Q was excellent. Sandwiches were good also, but too much bread. It was better dipping it in the soup. The 5 cheese Mac and cheese was awesome. The kids got pizza and a turkey cheese sandwich. Both were underwhelming. Prices are very reasonable for what you get. read more

The Newk's Q sandwich was good not great , nice thicker slices of chicken and bacon Swiss cheese and signature BBQ sauce. I think we just didn't love the sauce. One of the best dishes was the Mac n cheese. It was covered in additional cheeses on top. It was delicious. Two of us had Caesar salad, one with chicken. It is probably one of the best Cesar dressing's that I've had in a long time. The croutons are freshly made and delicious. We were asked several time how things were and if we needed anything. Newk's was an interesting place to go to. Wasn't so sure how to order and the set up. So! We ordered soup and a sandwich to share. When they brought the soup to us it was just broth and not much else. I was not impressed. So I told the waitress about it and her response was nothing. She walked away! So I brought the soup back up to the guy we ordered from and showed him and he said absolutely not that is not acceptable. So he brought the soup back and filled it himself. When he brought it back it was full and filled with yummy goodness! However our experience wasn't the best, I don't think I will be back because for the price we paid, it just wasn't all that to write home about. read more
