Our last few visits have been utterly disappointing. The place is dirty and unkept with brooms and dust pails lying in the path to order. The register is covered in dust and the tables need a deep clean. It's obvious that the staff keeps turning over because we never see the same person twice. It took 10 minutes to get our order correct with the cashier. We were there with friends from 6-8 and they started mopping at 7 pm. Surprisingly the food was good but with the restaurant being so dirty we will opt to go to the Evans location next time. Also the place was empty. I'm surprised they are still open. read more

We have eaten here before when we have been in the area and decided to pick up lunch today. We ate when we got to our destination. I had ordered the Savannah Chopped Salad but was very disappointed to discover a lot of the lettuce was brown. In addition, several pieces of spinach were decayed or spotted as it was decaying. So I had to pick through all of it before putting on the salad dressing and eating what was left. Quite disappointed in this location. McAllister's has always been a favorite of ours but we've never tried out the location closest to home. The food here is still as fresh as ever with massive portions so make sure to bring your appetite! The sweet tea here is top tier and a must every time, I can't believe it took me this long to visit again. McCalisters is one of my go-tos. It's a place where the whole family can find something on the menu they like. I love the spicy southwest chicken and the chicken tortilla soup. My sandwich was a real veggie in that it actually had veggies and was filling for me. Sandwich and Mac & cheese was good. The salad has a nice blend of lettuce with tomatoes, cucumbers topped with croutons (I asked for no cheese but they included any ways). My friend is the New Yorker with the Mac and cheese and said it was delicious. The service was good, staff friendly and received our order fairly quickly. My BLT A had fresh ingredients except the avocado was not ripe, it was pretty hard. I would've rather had them say they were out of avocado. There was not a lot of mayo, so the sandwich was kind of dry. And the bread was not toasted. Is that the way it normally comes? i'm used to having a BLT on toasted bread. Horrendous service. Holy Moly. Pathetic. I placed my order through GrubHub. And my order was totally normal but I had a request and wanted to speak to the delivery driver. I wasn't able to which was okay so instead I spoke to an attendant that worked at this Deli and wanted her to put this detail for the driver, she didn't care a lick for what I had to say. My request was if they could ring the door bell and leave the food in front of the door. The food was for my grandmother who had just had eye surgery and didn't want anyone to notice how vulnerable she was. The attendant didn't know this detail but I didn't want to say it as it was a simple request. I had tipped them $10 already and after calling to speak to a manager the same female hung up on me. The food here is good my hats off to the chef. The three stars are for the kitchen. Customer Service is a totally different story. Wasn't greeted at all when I walked to the counter. I ordered my food in advance so when I got there it would be prepared. While at the counter I let the cashier know I was here to pick up my call in . Her name was Torrie. She pulls the ticket looks at it for a minute, then tells me it will be up in a minute after slamming the ticket down on the counter. Meanwhile I look over and see a Togo order that is just sitting there that looked like mine. I wasn't sure so I didn't say anything, but after 10 minutes of waiting. I said to another young lady I think that's my order thats been sitting up there for sometime now. The other young lady help and I thanked her for that. Not sure if Torrie was having a bad day or upset for whatever reason, or maybe she didn't want to box my food for whatever reason, but her behavior was not what I would consider quality customer service or expected when I come in to this establishment and spend money. I told my husband to surprise me and bring something home and he brought me the Memphian and the crab & corn chowder. I would gladly order either one again. The Memphian had three different meats (roast beef, ham & turkey) and the spicy mustard paired with it perfectly. The chowder had a great kick to it. I have been doing curbside pickup about once a week for the past month or so and the service has been excellent as well as the food. When I pull up, I call their phone number on the sign for curbside pick up to let them know I have arrived after placing my order online. An employee (Amber, the GM as of late) has met me outside promptly to deliver my food. She is always very kind. Aside from the curbside pick up, I enjoy the variety of food they have to offer. Its finally here in Grovetown. The location is convenient. I had the half and half. French dip and the broccoli cheddar soup with the lemon aid. The super friendly and helpful staff refilled my drink, came by the table to ensure that I had everything I needed, and took the tray away when I was complete. Ok! I have found my new favorite lunch spot. The portions are great for the price and the quality is above most local delis. I have had their Reuben and their parmesan kale soup in a bread bowl. This place is filthy. They have tons of employees and we watched employees walk by several tables that needed to be bussed/ cleaned, look at them and keep going. We were there for over 30 minutes and no one ever cleaned up the empty tables with dishes on them. The floor was covered in food (my husband took photos - see his yelp review) and to top it off, the woman's restroom was out of soap. Every single employee working tonight was a female so this leads me to believe no one is washing their hands before they touch the food. This actually makes me sad because our food was really tasty. I can't see myself going back because of the multiple health code violations. Hopefully someone reads this and cleans up their act - it's only been open for a month or two and if it's already this bad, I'd hate to see what it will be like further down the road. read more

I get the New Yorker double pastrami on a ciabatta it's a nice serving of meat I would prefer it better if I could make it a sub (all typical toppings) so it's not just MEAT alone. I've tried the angus potato it's pretty good too just a little overpriced for what you get which could have been just a inconsistency on their part. I only tried it bc I was with a person that got it once and it looked DELICIOUS and said I would try that next time which I did, I guess it's hit or miss with who prepares it and whether they are heavy handed with the toppings, mine looked like they couldn't spare the meat. read more
