If they have a long drive thru line DO NOT ENTER. I am currently stuck and have been for 20 minutes and you can't get out because they have no exits once you enter. Very disappointed. They could at least have the cars ahead of you pull forward and wait in a parking spot? It's at the point that the car behind me is honking over and over again out of rage. read more

I think their food is good, but their losing me as a customer because their service is lacking. One pretty elderly woman at the counter is great, she's watching the follow through on orders, the younger staff are oblivious and a bit self consumed. I like to feel as if my order matters. read more

DO NOT ORDER USING THE APP!!! On Sunday evening a few minutes before 7pm (closing time is 8pm) I ordered a soup and sandwich for pickup. I received my confirmation email saying 10:47 Monday morning. I immediately tried calling only to receive a busy signal. I jumped in the car and drove there and the place was empty except a few employees. I was told they decided to close at 7:30 so I was unable to get my food. I asked to speak to the manager but he did not want to talk to me because he was busy closing out the register. On Tuesday I called corporate and was told refunds take 3 to 5 days and that the store manager would contact me. By Friday I still have not received a call or refund. I called corporate again only to be told that this store is independently owned and they will call again. I tried calling the store only to receive a busy signal again. I will now be calling the bank. This is absolutely the worst customer service and not only will I not be ordering from McAllister ever again but all the other companies affiliated with them. They went from so good to complete garbage!!! Buyer beware!! read more

Today was my first time to this Deli. The food was amazing. As was the Strawberry pecan salad. I have not tried the Strawberry Shortcake the catering manager Denise gave me to try. That was so sweet of her. I certainly will be back. This is my kind of sandwich place for sure. Oh, the potatoes soup is gonna be a part of my every visit. I placed a large order last night online and everything went smoothly. Our order had a lot of special requests and they got it all correct. Huge plus is the drive up window and the girls working were nice. My favorite are the potatoes but tried a couple other things that were also very good. We've tried this place several times since it opened. The first few times were great! Food was good, service and atmosphere were fine.we thought we had really found our new quick place to take the kids. However, the last two times we were there, we had major problems with the wait times. First was on a Friday evening-waited 45 minutes and still no food. So many other people waiting to with no avail. We took a break for a few weeks and tried again. This time on a Thursday evening. Same exact situation. Waited over 30 minutes for the food and had to get a refund. Completely unacceptable. It's a shame because we really liked this place, but we don't have time to wait over 30 minutes for food that should be done in under 10. To make things even worse, I emailed the company about our issues and never heard any response. I hope for others sake they will change their operation, because we enjoyed the food, just not the wait. read more

Just wanted to take a minute to tell you how wonderful the Management and staff were at McAlister's in Mokena. My daughter and I went in and started to order and were halfway done when the power went out. The Manager had the cashier hand write our order and they proceeded to prepare our food and complete our order all complements of McAlister's. They did all this with smiles on their faces. Food was delicious as usual but they go above and beyond with great customer service. One of our favorite new places in town. This is one of our fave ret restaurants out in Orland Pk. We were on the way to a friends house in New Lenox and decided to stop at the location in Frankfort. What a joke... the we stood in line 2 deep and waited 10 minutes to order food. Then it took another 20 minutes to revive some of our order. Food was ok at best. If they are busy stay away! Seating for 100 people and they have 1 single stall men's bathroom with a lock on the door? Plenty of room to redesign the bathroom to be ADA compliant and allow at least 2 people in there, so you don't have to wait in line. Food is fine. read more

Good sandwiches, got broccoli as a side and it was yummy and made me feel better about my sandwich choice. Also had a salad with chicken and cranberries, not the best, lots of lettuce spine in it, not much chicken or cheese. Will go back for sandwiches probably try the half and half next time, salad and sandwich or soup and sandwich, or baked potato options and salad--lots to choose from. read more

If you're looking for food with a homemade deli taste, this is not the place for you. Of course, I'm basing that opinion on what two of us had ordered. I will say that the employees are very polite and anxious to help and that's why I gave a two star rating and not just one. We ordered a cup of chicken dumpling soup, a half of a potato with chili, cheese, and sour cream on it, a Southwest Chicken Sandwich, a small garden salad, a slice of New York cheesecake, and a drink. It came in at just under $30.00. The soup and potato was a special "pick two". The dumplings in the soup were something between a dumpling and noodle, the pieces chicken were some sort of pressed chicken. There was a slight crunch as I bit into a few pieces. My dogs got the rest, There were plenty of "dumplings" in the soup and several pieces of chicken. The chili on the potato was meaty but was similar in taste to canned chili. The Southwest Chicken sandwich appeared to be pressed meat and was fair at best. The salad, on the other hand, was very good. The cheesecake was a nice sized slice and was good but not great. I was told it came with a topping so I opted for black cherry. It didn't come with a topping because I was charged separately and extra. We were under the impression that we could get a salad as a side with the chicken sandwich but that was not the case. It was fairly busy while we were there so the salad may have been a misunderstanding. We did take our food home to eat. Before leaving we were shown each thing we had ordered, to make sure they were correct, before being bagged. I will say that it is tough to find any really good homemade tasting deli food these days unless you go into a non franchise deli in Chicago. Seems like other folks really enjoyed McAlister's food. This review is only my and my lady's opinion. I'm not trying to convince you of anything. Try McAlister's for yourself. Based on other reviews you may just love it. It's not for us though and we won't be going back there. Prices were high for what it was. read more

I was highly disappointed at my first and only visit. The sandwiches appear to be a quarter of the size as advertised, and my wrap had a couple slices of meat with much more purple lettuce. The signature brand of chips mostly contained air. Much too pricey for what is given. I will never set foot in another McAlisters Deli, and I am telling all friends acquaintances to avoid. Much better deal at the Chipotle across the street. read more
