Not sure the manager was on duty, woman, short dark hair, short and full figured. But EXTREMELY unpleasant to me. If your having a bad day, I get it... we all do. But be nice to the customers. While I was waiting for my online order. I pick up a coupon (there was a stack of coupons sitting on the ledge) to read it. She came up and scolded me like a child asking me to "please put that down!" with an attitude... you can slide an "excuse me" (like I teach my children) instead of barking an order at me like I'm your child. Jeesh! Be nice!! It was another customers coupon cards... how the hell am I supposed to know. Suffice it to say, my order took 10 minutes longer then it should have. While other customers walked in and out.. before mine was done. Next time, if I come back to this location, I will just wait til I get there to order so I don't sit there for 15 minutes being ignored. i live in Harlem and I love Jersey Mikes I normally go to the one in new jersey so when my friend told me they had one on Broadway on 171st me and my girlfriend went to that location last night and i've NEVA been so disrespected b4 by the (3) staff members as I was last nite I was told to hurry up and place my order because the meat slicer was busy. then I asked the guy on the grill if I can have my onions cooked and he replied: "what's the matter you can't read its on the menu" then him and the meat slicer told me "look if you don't like it you can leave... he then told the security guard put them out and don't come back"! Savannah was rude from the get go. I was only person in store on a holiday and there were two bags which looked like they were ready for pick up. She said she didn't have an order with my name on it and asked me if I gave a different name. I said no that is my name and asked if she had a California chicken Philly and a Jersey shore on the ticket. She responded no. I checked the confirmation from my phone in order and it was the correct store. I then asked her what the name on the ticket was and she said my name with an extra letter. First off, she didn't have the sense to think that could have been me. She proceeded to tell me in a condescending tone that this is a very common name (I've only met one other person with my name) and she thought it was for a different person . Second off, the ticket included the exact sandwiches I ordered and told her was on my order. then she argues with me because she mistakenly heard chicken Philly. Worst of all after ordering 20-25 minute in advance, the sandwiches weren't even ready. And throughout this conversation the three people who were working there were just standing around. The staff is rude. I had to go the the bathroom before I ordered food. The woman at the counter told me the bathroom was only for customers. I told her I was a customer, thats why I am here. She told me people lie. The rude clerk reluctantly let me into the bathroom. If you serve dine in food, by law, you have to have a bathroom. There are way to many options for food. You don't have to tolerate rude service like this location specializes in. Pop's is next door. The Jewel behind the store has pre-made sandwiches. Jimmy John's is a half mile away from this location. Just wanted to add to me previous review. I have not been to this location in a very long time (since my first review) sorry to say absolutely nothing has changed. Terrible customer service especially for Jersey Mike's standards. They act like you are a bother at this location. Close at 9 but at 730 are too busy trying to close and are "out" of main ingredients. The owner of this location really needs to train his employees. The same man was working there both times I went. He was dripping sweat this time from trying to get the place closed an hour and a half early. I get it you want to go home- but you're still open. Don't get mad at customers for coming in during business hours. This was the last time I will attempt to visit this location. Walked in twice and TWICE left with no food. read more

I have always ordered turkey/roast beef subs, however, my girl & I ordered chicken & steak Philly & it was absolutely horrible. The chicken Philly tasted like pressed, artificial chicken, the roll was soggy & the melted provolone was absolutely disgusting, by far one of the worst sandwiches ever!! The steak Philly was disgusting, no meat, tough, tiny, pieces of steak with awful, smelly, melted cheese & jalapeños was enough to almost make me sick. I threw the whole sandwich out. Just left this location and I am beyond pleased with the service I had! Two of the employees working were especially nice and went out of their way to handle my religious requirement of avoiding pork. I had asked them to wipe down the machine as there were other meat remnants on it and they agreed politely with a smile. Then towards the end of the sandwich making, one had asked the other to assist with adding mayo to my sandwich and she said she would've but would be touching pork and didn't want to cross contaminate. Once I heard that, I'll never go to a different jersey mikes! They actually cared for me as a customer. They also made my sandwich perfectly. I wish I got their names. The gentleman had a significant tattoo on his neck and the girl had short hair. Great location and I can't thank them enough for being so polite and friendly. Made my day. read more

I was looking forward to my meal, as Jersey Mike's is one of my favorite sandwich places. Everything was ok until an employee screwed up my experience. The cashier made a mistake and I didn't catch it, because she reiterated my order to me (which she got right.) I didn't take the receipt because I didn't plan to return my food and it is wasteful; now I wish I had. The second employee came up and grilled me about my order, then I figured out the cashier made a mistake. Instead of apologizing she took an accusatory tone which left a pretty bad taste in my mouth. I am frequent Jersey Mike's visitor, but not to this location. I was out in Alsip for work and decided to grab some Jersey Mike's thinking it would be pretty consistent with my normal location. That couldn't be further from the truth. The one thing that caused me to write this review was the lettuce. My sandwich was piled high with brown soggy lettuce, it was disgusting. Lettuce is cheap and these sandwich's are not, the least you could do is have fresh lettuce. There should NEVER be brown lettuce on an $8 sandwich. "The Italian". I ran to my car and chowed down. Note! Olive oil and vinegar on a sub is not recommended for car food! It was delicious though. They offer hot and cold sandwiches, however they were willing to make any sandwich hot (cooking the meat on the stove) for me as I was pregnant. Stopped in and ordered 2 Philly cheesesteaks and couple Turkey sandwiches place was empty no customers. The main guy heavy set was training a younger gentleman on the grill as it seemed and I quickly realized the newbie was having difficulty preparing the cheesesteaks. So i just happened to be looking at when he was picking up the sandwich off of the Grill he rubbed it all over his dirty apron it was honestly disgusting. He didn't no how to pick it up off the grill correctly and used his belly for support. There has to be some sort of health violation with this incident. Food handling was terrible to be fair being that the gentleman was in training the trainer didn't pay any mind and when I told him that he quickly blamed it on the bread. I will admit after the level of ignorance that was presented at the time and the demeanor of the staff I raised my voice when I was refused a refund. I had to repeat myself 6 times. You can easily look up my account from my shore points and see how much I eat at Jersey Mikes even back when it first started in New Jersey. Today was a horrible experience the Sandwich was the least to blame but the way it was handled by the staff was unprofessional and the gentleman can definitely use a lesson in customer service. Subs are good but overpriced, and they use the usual trickery of overloading your sandwiches with all the cheap stuff ( Lettuce & Bread) to make it bigger so they can rip you off and charge you 2 bucks more for 10 cents worth of bread and lettuce . Also, always cutting your sandwich in half with that same big old dirty, germy, knife, that they use hundreds of times in a row without ever washing it, YUCK. A much better Sub Sandwich Joint is the king of Chicagoland Subs, Fontano's, if you can get to one, as they are Local only, as far as I know. read more

The line was quick due to a well trained staff. The bread was real soft - slightly different than subways - much wider. Regular toppings.. I paid about 10 bucks so slightly higher than subway. Jersey Mike's across from Jewel was great. I have a gluten allergy, so I ordered a gluten free sub and the first thing they asked me was if it was an allergy or a diet. This is a thing a lot of restaurants don't understand. When I answered allergy, they wiped down everything, cleaned the grill, scrubbed the cutters, and changed their gloves and washed their hands. I had the best experience at Palos Heights location. I called Thursday night & spoke to an enthusiastic Ryan. I asked him if #6 Roast beef and provolone was back. He excitedly replied "yes, I'm so excited because I eat it every day for lunch". I told him my boyfriend & I have been waiting for it to come back. My boyfriend also called from work a minute later, which I had no idea. We ordered 2 giant #6 on Friday. Ryan was so friendly, enthusiastic and professional. He said he's been there from beginning. Also Natalie was very nice and efficient. I asked for my condiments on the side with no hesitation they packed everything for me. It's been a long time since I had such friendly service. This was my first time eating here and I will not be back. I visited the Oak Lawn location which just opened a week ago, but you would never know that after seeing how messy it was. The counter they were using to make the subs was so dirty and the staff was very sloppy when making the food. They were practically throwing the toppings on the bread from a distance, there was food all over the place-not very appealing. . I also could not believe how much lettuce was being put on each sub. I ordered a cheesesteak but practically got a lettuce sub instead. Why so much lettuce? It was way too much and not enough of everything else. I don't know what "mikes way" is, but if it means POURING straight oil and vinegar on a sub, count me out. I understand the place was very busy due to grand opening, but this is the most important time for a business to be on point. I ordered 2 cheesesteaks but there was only 1 in the bag. When I walked back in, the cashier who had JUST ASSISTED ME A FEW MINUTES AGO acted like I was crazy when I said I'm missing a sub. They were questioning me like a criminal about this damn missing sub. I did not appreciate the customer service I received.
