Chicken crispy, flavorful with the eggs. Very good selection of ingredients in the Veggie plate. Was a very delightful experience for this new cuisine.

I had the Majadito which is a beef/steak rice with eggs, plantains, tomatoes, onions, and cilantro. A relatively simple dish when described, but the combination of flavors was delightful. And a big portion I ended up bringing some home to have for breakfast the next day. My uncle had the asada en olla, a roasted beef stew with rice that had my uncle pausing repeatedly to comment how delicious it was. And he is less of a foodie than I am, so for him to comment like that was a big compliment. We shared some steak and chicken empanadas. A bite of empanada with some of their house made hot sauce is a bite of heaven. Service was so sweet and kind, attentive but in a respectful way. This is truly a family run spot and I felt like I was a guest in their home being given a home cooked meal made with love. The restaurant is clean and cozy. The bathrooms included. And there is plentiful street parking in front and the surrounding areas. A gem in the suburbs that shouldn't be hidden. While I always look for them at the markets, I will definitely be back to this place.

I tried the tomato and peach focaccia as well as a blueberry scone. Both were good, but neither was particularly memorable. I was expecting something a little more special or unique, especially for the price. Speaking of price, $24 for two slices of focaccia and a blueberry scone felt pretty steep. What made it harder to justify was that the baked goods were served on a very cheap paper plate, which didn't exactly add to the overall experience. I also found the dine-in area disappointing. It was quite dark, somewhat dingy, and could have been cleaner. For a bakery where you're encouraged to sit and enjoy your food, the atmosphere really could use some attention. Overall, the staff were nice and the food was good, but at these prices, I expected more from both the baked goods and the overall experience. Unfortunately, I didn't find anything that would have me rushing back.
