I was excited to hear about a McAlister's Deli opening up in Norton Shores. I loved going there when I lived in Knoxville. The chili and sweet tea is just like I remember. The potato was sorely lacking unfortunately. Completely flavorless mac and cheese, unseasoned, plain pulled pork. I had to load it up with chili to give it any flavor. The Caesar salad was good, but there were multiple massive stem chunks in it, one of which you can see in the picture. Thee ice machine was also completely empty, and when I asked them about it, they didn't go back and fill it, at least not where I could see. Thankfully, they had another smaller ice machine in another portion of the restaurant. Would go back for the great sweet tea, not for anything else.

We had an incredible lunch today at McAlister's Deli! It was my first time visiting a McAlister's Deli and it was way better than I expected! The Harvey Street location just opened so we were eager to try it. We were greeted by smiling faces. The worker who waited on us was very kind. I appreciated that she read our order back to us to make sure everything was correct. I ordered the McAlister Club with no tomato. It was one of the best club sandwiches!!! I was pleasantly surprised. The honey mustard was phenomenal and I'm not normally someone who likes honey mustard. My friend also had the McAlister club and enjoyed it. We had a slice of carrot cake for dessert. The slice was very big. It was good but I don't think it was the best carrot cake I've had. I am looking forward to trying their cookies next! The outdoor seating is lovely. We were able to sit in the sunshine. The patio is dog friendly. There is a parking lot with free parking and if that is filled, there is a very large parking lot behind the deli where Target is located. Overall a great experience at the deli. We will definitely be back! I wish the Harvey street location great success.

We came in around 8:00 on Sunday, 2/1/26 and sat at the bar. The bartender Jackie was busy and didn't see us for a couple minutes - once she did she apologized and took great care of us! We started with boneless wings, 1/2 buffalo, 1/2 garlic parm, they were really good! For our entrees I had the prime rib quesadilla and I thoroughly enjoyed every bite! It was served SO hot I thought I would burn my mouth! But it would be worth it! He had the perch dinner and wasn't as thrilled with it as I was with mine. He said the perch is better at Whitlow's. There were lots of games on, hockey, basketball and a sports documentary. It wasn't too loud, but it is a lively atmosphere. I'm happy with our experience and hope we come back again soon.

Especially considering one of our omelets wasn't cooked through fully. That was disappointing after hearing so many good things about the breakfast here. The waitstaff were very friendly and did a great job, no complaints there. Had we not waited so long, I'd have given it 4 stars. I could be persuaded to try it again as again the food was pretty good.

We sat at the bar (as always) and Sarah took great care of us (as always). AND, because it was Saturday I could order the stuffed hash browns! I had never heard of this delight until I started visiting Michigan. Shredded hash browns with sautéed veggies and breakfast meat, cheese and either ranch dressing or sour cream. This was the first time I've ordered them here, and I was REAL happy with my order! I went with the 1/2 order - and it was a lot of food. Ham, bacon, onions, peppers, cheese and I subbed sour cream for the ranch and added 2 over easy eggs. My Mr had the all meat omelette and really enjoyed it. Our toast was hot and buttery. We come to Whitlow's A LOT. It is our favorite breakfast place when we want classic breakfast. There is nothing fancy, but everything is really good. And their prices are very reasonable.

We paid 90 something dollars for a veggie platter, to have wilted tomatoes, dry carrots and no broccoli. We paid 15 dollars a pizza to have the pizza just to be cold and small. If i recall it was only a 12 inch personal pizza for 15 bucks.. And the chicken in the pot was soggy because they steamed it for an hour before we where able to access it. We noticed a safety hazard and made sure management noted it for when we leave and not shortly after that they jacked up the music very very loud intending to kick us out. Overall we where really disappointed and would not recommend this place for a get together.
