Use to be decent but last week when we went a lot has changed... price are ridiculous for breakfast 17 for waffles? If they were good and had presume topping or something maybe I would have let it go but this was just plain waffles with side of egg and sausage. Cute place! I ordered the French toast breakfast with scrambled eggs and sausage. Delicious!! They had an extensive gluten free menu! ((All the dots are GF!)) the sausage is made in house and was so very good!! This is the first time I have been given a pre-portioned little cup of syrup, where they actually gave me enough! Nice, bright newer interior reminds me of a barn. But a clean barn. Just a heads up, all members of your party need to be present before you are seated. A hostess will seat you. Toast N Jams is one of my favorite places to eat brunch in Muskegon! The new space is so welcoming and the decor is so creative. If you are going on the weekend, I would plan for a wait time before you are seated. Typically I find that Sundays have more of a wait than Saturdays. Toast N Jams also serves lunch but I personally have only had breakfast items there every time I visit because it is just that good. My favorite item on the breakfast menu is the cinnamon swirl pancakes pictured. They are so delicious and do not even need syrup! To be transparent, I feel that the prices are very reasonable. You get what you pay for for sure. The only thing that that I would change is how big the menu is physically. The menus are so large and with only two people sitting at the table, we kept hitting each other's menus and couldn't hold them right or set them down. I couldn't imagine 4+ people sitting at a table holding the huge menus. I think investing in smaller menus physically would be a better option from a dine- in customer perspective! I got the German omelette. I like things inside my omelette, not outside. I'm from CA, and I've determined, everything east of CA, puts things on top of the omelette instead of inside. It's ok, I'm probably the weird one. The decor here was very cool. The concept was great! However, I felt the flavor of the food- sub par. My entire time visiting MI, it was unfortunate to say, it was one my one of my least favorite places. I chose this place too! Our server was great! However, full disclosure, how I choose my stars always aligns more with how the food tastes, more than how the service rates. I can always take a pass on bad service. We ate here twice while camping in the area. The first day I had a mix of eggs, hash browns, peppers, bacon. It was delicious. The next day I had just over medium eggs and toast. The whole grain was so good, I don't usually eat toast but had to today! They had a seasonal creamy asparagus omelette today so I tried it. And I ate every last bite! The asparagus was cooked nicely with a slight crispness still to it and the sauce was a creamy hollandaise with Parmesan. The decor is fun to look around at with a Route 66 type vibe, lots of old Coca Cola memorabilia and tin washboards. We checked in to Toast' N Jams this morning. I was pleasantly surprised with the new building that this restaurant moved to! Bigger and a bright new building with plenty of parking. We were seated promptly in a booth. The menu is extensive with breakfast and lunch items. At our table the choices were the Hash Brown Skillet, which was delicious and the Farmers Scramble, another delightful dish. The service was slow this morning, but it just gave us more time to talk. I am so happy I tried this restaurant and for sure I will not wait so long to stop in for another breakfast or maybe a lunch! Me and my friend consider ourselves regulars at this establishment, even before they relocated. Because of the relocation, they have an even bigger building and there is much less of a wait time and less squished tables, which is great. The atmosphere is friendly and warm. Today, however, I decided to go out of my comfort zone and order a burger. It was a bold choice considering that Toast n Jams is much more of a breakfast place than a lunch diner. But I love me a good burger, so I was willing to take my chances. I ordered the "Armadillo", as I love a good burger with barbecue sauce. It was love at first bite. They do not mess around. The burger was delicious. I devoured it mindlessly. The fries held up too. Toast n Jams has proved to me time and time again that they know how to deliver an excellent meal with friendly service.
