My mom got the fried shrimp plate, my sister got shrimps and grits, my grandmother's nurse for 1/2# of royal reds and I got a patty melt. The food came out quickly considering it was lunch rush. The portions were adequate for the price and the food was temperature appropriate and flavorful. The restaurant itself is very minimally, decorated, just a place serving good food. It was a little loud in there this time, but that simply because it was lunch rush. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I will miss going to this restaurant since my grandmother is no longer here, but at least I will have the memories of the time spent with her there and the good food that we had.

If we were tipping just based on service, I would say we received the bare minimum. The food runners were very confused and couldn't even speak when we tried to address the messed up food. Still no drink refills offered and the waitress was gone for so long we couldn't address the missing meals for a while. The food runners never said anything about the issues. Again, I get it, it's Mother's Day, but a suggestion was made (not requested) and then the alternative was incredibly messed up.
