Boise Bills is a ghost kitchen run out of Jason's Deli, and I must say - this is one of the better virtual kitchens I have tried! Jason's Deli also has a few potatoes on their menu, but their Boise Bills virtual kitchen has more to choose from than the norm. The potatoes are gigantic and they do NOT skimp on the toppings that each come with. I should have realized how big they were when my delivery order was $26 for two potatoes (before delivery cost and tip). $13 per potato may seem like a lot, but when I tell you that each potato is a full meal in itself, I am not fibbing. So, again, thinking these were just normal sized potatoes with a little topping, I ordered two: -Buckin' Broc n' Cheese: A giant steamed, fluffy potato, covered in broccoli florets, cheese sauce, and butter. Verdict: The potato itself was delicious and fluffy, as promised. With the cheese sauce and broccoli, it reminded me of the broccoli cheddar soup my grandma used to make! (But with a potato base and not a soup! (The broccoli bits are little big but they are so tender that they pull apart easily with each bite. This was great and a good choice if you're in the mood for comfort food. -The Big Boise: Loaded fluffy potato with chopped BBQ, gooey shredded cheddar, and of course, also butter. Verdict: I liked the Buckin' Broc n' Cheese potato a lot, but I think the Big Boise was my favorite. I am a fan of BBQ and this came with bits of BBQ meat in the toppings, which made it a little more like a meal, if you're a carnivore. The BBQ sauce they use gives it a little heat along with a little sweet, which I enjoyed. The meat bits are chopped up really well and that makes this a super easy to eat potato, even though it's gigantic. I think I will try a few other potatoes from Boise Bills to see if they live up to the first two I had. If you're looking for a delivery, comfort food style meal, I think Boise Bills might hit the spot. Just don't make my mistake, and maybe only order one!

    So dry and hard/crumbly

I tried to potatoes tonight- the meatballer and then just a plain with butter and cheese. They are massive but they are SO SO DRY!! They aren't done, they are NOT fluffy. So disappointed to have spent $50 on 2 potatoes (I just had surgery and have to have soft foods) and can't even eat them. Not worth the price. They specialize in potatoes but don't know how to cook potatoes. Idk.

Boise Bill's is a stuffed potato ghost kitchen inside of Jason's Deli. Ghost kitchens allow restaurants to expand their presence on third-party delivery apps such as DoorDash, which is how I learned about it. Door Dash delivered the most giant potato I've ever seen! The thought of GMOs briefly crossed my mind, but this impressive potato blew it away. I ordered the Bill's Original which was so loaded with cheddar cheese, bacon, green onions, butter, and sour cream I was able to divide it into three meals! Everything on it was perfect and the potato itself was a fluffy masterpiece. Bookguy ordered the Rancher's Club which was like a club sandwich on potato instead of bread. The picture I took doesn't do it justice and Bookguy got two meals out of it. You can order a fruit cup or side salad for an extra charge, but the potato is plenty. They also have cheesecake, cookies, and a brownie on the dessert menu, which we didn't have. There are a lot of different combinations of toppings for the potatoes, so you could eat here often without repeating.

There is a quarter above for scale.

God, where to begin. So I lived in Idaho growing up and I absolutely love baked potatoes, especially since I am no longer with my baked potato hating ex-wife! So one night I didn't feel like cooking and decided to do a little Door Dashing. As I browsed the usual suspects I came upon a new place, Boise Bill's and immediately the hook was set. It's a relatively small menu, maybe a dozen or so potatoes of different topping configurations, including plain, Texas chili, spicy chicken, etc. I had a 25% off coupon so I decided to get two: a basic cheese, chive and sour cream (which they forgot) and one with Texas chili and cheese (also with no sour cream). The "big" surprise came with the delivery. When the Dasher handed me the bag it felt like there was a brick inside...literally. The bag must have weighed at LEAST four pounds. When I took them out I was staring at the biggest fucking potato I have ever seen in my life...and I'm from fucking Idaho. You could beat a man to death with this thing! If you dropped it on your foot you'd be going to the ER! I attached a picture with a quarter above it for scale. It took me two days to eat these things and I'm a 240 lbs weight lifter. The next night I ordered two more and then three days later...yep...two more. I finally had to stop before I started looking like a potato. Seriously, if you like baked potatoes, this is your personal heaven.

Absolute monster size potatoes, and they don't skip on the toppings at all. Probably the best " stuff potato" in the city.

My husband and I were downtown for lunch, and I knew I had to stop by. The menu is VERY limited; there are only two to three sandwiches everyday and a few soups. I decided to order the mozzarella, tomatoes, arugula, and balsamic sandwich and he tried the mortadella with dijon. My sandwich came cold and his was hot, but both were served on the most delicious focaccia bread with flaky sea salt. I was in heaven. There is very limited seating, but the shop as a whole was very cute. There are some specialty meats, cheeses, drinks, and other food goods available for purchase, too. Everyone working was very kind and helpful. This is a must visit if you are a sandwich lover!

THIS is where you come to buy the AMAZING sourdough bread that they serve there. I was at an art event once featured a prominent German photographer. During his gallery talk, he jubilantly exclaimed that he LOVES coming to Omaha, that the Buvette sourdough is THE BEST in the WORLD! I agree. And the really great thing is that they will make amazing sandwiches from it. There is a chalkboard menu listing their sandwiches each day. There are usually 3 different rotating choices. It is enough, I usually have trouble deciding which one to get even with that small menu. The flavors are amazing and the ingredients are fresh and high-quality. I'm going to say that these might be the best sandwiches in the world. Most of the sandwiches are made on this AMAZING house-made focaccia bread. Literally the only thing that makes me sad here is that sometimes they run out of focaccia and ask if they can make it using baguette instead. Their baguettes are amazing as well but personally I don't like them as sandwich bread. So in that event I usually get the soup instead. Their soups are delicious so it's not that big of a problem, Seating is very limited, with a tiny table inside and a couple outside, so you will probably have to find somewhere else to sit and enjoy your lunch, There are deli items, pickles and olives, desserts, and some specialty grocery items available, Staff there are lovely as well and I always feel happy when I visit. Oh, and this - you know how I said these are probably the best sandwiches in the world? One might expect these would be a premium price. I am delighted to tell you that $7.98 will get you one of these amazing things. They are large and satisfying. It is an incredibly good value. I come here often!

Star Deli is tucked away in Benson, and is open a bit later than other restaurants at all to cater to the scene of the strip. As a vegetarian, I greatly appreciate their entire list of veggie options, which allows me to feel unlimited in my options - unlike traditional sandwich shops that may have 1-2 veggie options. Star Deli uses creativity to cater to all types of sandwich desires! I tried the Jalapeño Popper this visit, switching it up from my traditional sweet potato sandwich order. As you can see from the photos, there was no skimping on my jalapeños, and they were crunchy and fresh! Not very spicy, but that is not something they can control without taking a bite of each pepper lol. This sandwich was flavorful and unique, and I would definitely order it again. The only worker quickly got 'cookin' once myself and one other customer ordered, delivering timely service without the rushed chaos of fast food as I saw him freshly chopping up the veggies. The local artwork on the walls and the location being in Benson, Star Deli is one of my favorite sandwich spots. A block away from a vintage store from the left and the right, bars nearby, coffeeshops, shopping, and ice cream, it really is prime for the day or night! I recommend the Jalapeño Popper, but with such a large menu, I will probably try something new next time, and so should you :)
