Not sure what happened to this place over the years. I understand the economy is rough right now. But there's only so high you can take your prices while simultaneously reducing the amount of ingredients to that go into your food. Case in point, their chicken salad on crescent. The meal cost $15 for the sandwich, bag of chips and a tea. The sandwich had what looked to be about two tablespoons of actual chicken salad. Half the bites were just bread. The food was still tasty and fresh. But what you get for what you pay is a complete rip-off. I'm not sure if this is limited to this location, or the same at all. Visited a few days ago with a large group of family and friends. The staff were very helpful putting tables together so we could sit as a group and visit relatives we have not seen in a long time. Dropped in for a quick meal with my wife. Was very impressed with the social distance measures they put in place! Not being a regular of this establishment, I wasn't sure what to order but the sweet chipotle grilled chicken sandwich sounded okay, so I ordered it. My wife ordered the French dip. It is as very good the food came out in a timely fashion, it was hot and very tasty. The potato salad wasn't made in house- it takes like one of those you get from a restaurant shoot place, but luckily I like that, lol. So all in all it was a very good meal. No complaints here. This location is horrible, especially with to-go orders. It's never, NEVER, right and we have to tell them that we're allergic to pickles in order for them to leave out of the box. We HATE pickles and they are always there if we just say no pickle without telling them it's an allergy issue. I want to support this business but why when this has gone on for months? I've talked to managers. From time to time we are offered free cookies. That's not cutting it as we eat here a lot. I'd rather drive further to Hardy St. just so I can get what I ordered. Tonight we ordered and they left my side out of the bag. I'm SO unhappy. After a long day of work, I didn't want to have to drive all the way back bc one time I trusted the order would be right. The service here has consistently gotten worse. The workers are teenagers who are more worried about socializing. My orders are never right, they always omit things from my order or just forget them altogether. The managers need to do more training with the young staff or they will continue to lose business. I eat here at least once a week, sometimes more. If things do not change soon, I will not be back! read more

Literally, this is the worst McAlister's Deli that exists, as far as I'm aware of. I was giving them some grace for a little while because everyone deserves more chances, but the last 4 times I've been there have been the worst restaurant experience and awful service. The food ends up tasting fine each time, but the service is terrible. They usually get your order wrong, probably a majority of the time. Not to mention, the sandwiches are falling apart and clearly they didn't try to build the sandwich with care. Two visits ago, my potato soup might as well have come in a drinking cup because it wasn't a soup, but rather was a potato drink. It was so weird. Lastly, they take forever to get your food ready. They have tons of employees in there so this shouldn't be a problem, but it takes them 25 minutes or so (based off of my last 4 visits) to get your food to you-even if they're slow. I hate that this is the closest McAlister's to my house because I'm always expecting a terrible experience. That is a shame. I hope and pray that management there does something and makes a change soon enough, or things will probably get worse. read more

The love I have for this place just fell apart ...I stopped by to get a few spuds and rotel dip (my usual) .. This time they decided to give me the bottom of the bag crumbs . I live 10 minutes away from this place and this is what they give me ... CRUMBS ... I could've easily stopped and got a bag of chips at the store,but I just felt so disrespected. First time I ate it this location there were no issues. This last time we were called up to one of the two registers and then asked to wait just a moment. We did. And watched them ring three people up at the other register while the girl who asked us to wait delivered meals to other tables, then came back, smiled at us, and proceeded to get yet another meal from the window to take to someone else. I would say we were ignored, but instead it was more like being refused service. It will take a lot to get me to come back. read more
