They had a few different pizzas out that they restocked regularly, and I believe you could make requests for specific pizzas to be made-- we didn't try this but I don't think it costs extra. I really enjoyed the cheesy breadsticks and the pasta was good! I will however mention that everything was very salty, including the dessert pizzas. The entire restaurant was very clean! I was even impressed with the cleanliness of the restrooms. They also had an arcade in a small back room that was pretty fun! The machines are a bit old and warn and one of them ate an extra quarter but the whole family had a fun time playing old-school cabinets. Overall, a pretty good experience! We drove into town for a date night at Mohawk Steel and Glass Co for our 25 year anniversary! We decided to come to Tabella for dinner! Best decision ever. I'm from the restaurant business and when you have amazing service it makes everything better! Emma was our waitress and she was phenomenal! All smiles, very helpful and overall attentive, friendly! Even the manager did a table touch! Food was awesome! We had a pizza and chicken parm! But the best thing was the salad! Don't sleep on the house salad! It was cold! I really want to like this place as it is close to home but they let me down quite alot. I order a coffee (decaf, non fat, cap) and every time it takes them an age to make it. Also I have ordered pastries and on more than one occasion they put the wrong one in the bag so when I got home my son was disappointed. How can they get chocolate and spinach mixed up? Plus the real down side is the staff who are just grumpy. As I say I am local and have been in for coffee lots of times as it is handy to me. I know they must see lots of people but not one of the ever notices I am a return customer. read more

This is my favorite Italian place in Hattiesburg. I like the Ciabatta bread and the oil and pepper is really good too. The Minestrone soup is good, but sometimes they run out and won't make more. I would advise not to eat the potato chips, they taste like olive oil. The pasta salad is the best salad I have ever had. Their pesto is very flavorful and I could eat a bucket of it. The spaghetti sauce is sweet, as it is probably seasoned with cinnamon like a proper Italian would. I have never been disappointed in their food. read more

They really go out of their way to make sure you have the best experience possible. And oh my goodness, the food? I've recently been diagnosed with celiac disease. The transition to be gluten free has been difficult. I am pleased to say that dining at Tabella's has been an enjoyable expierence. Kyle & new trainee Zan were a big help in getting the Veal Marsala w/Alfredo sauce from the gluten free menu. Totally delicious! The only other entrée I ever ordered here was one of the Gulf fish specials which they still had some of those at least but not as good a choice as they used to have. For my second visit the menu was so uninspiring to me I just got a cheeseburger and it was fortunately a decently good cheeseburger. For Hattiesburg this is probably still one of the better places to eat. They have continued doing a nice tray of their dessert selections setting out on display to really try and tempt your soul with lust for their sweet treats. I really think they need to up their game again and go back to what they used to be! Overall if you're in the area this is probably a good choice for the food or their bar which will be better than any of the many nearby chains like Applebee's but not quite as good as Crescent City Grill.

I made another visit to try out their poboy so I again got the shrimp gumbo along with a shrimp poboy. This visit was not as pleasant as the first as the shrimp gumbo just seemed off while the poboy was alright but the bread seemed a bit less than fresh. In NOLA poboy bread is good for one day and goes stale so then it is used to make bread pudding. The big poboy bread bakeries in NOLA have started to ship out their bread to other places and somehow have found a way to keep it fresh longer but it still just seems you can't get that same fresh poboy bread experience anywhere outside of NOLA. The ambiance of Gold Post is till 1970's fantastic with nothing being changed from the way I remember it as a kid so that is always nostalgic. The service at Gold Post is fast food style where you order at the counter but they do clean your table. Overall this is a decent joint and one of the few poboy spots in Hattiesburg, MS.

My family got refills on their drinks, but my drink came in a smaller glass and I didn't get a refill. We all got soda, so I'm not sure why. The restaurant is pleasant, but we were seated directly in front of the window unit air conditioner so we had to decide which one of us would be the most uncomfortable while eating. The bill was over $100. After discussing it, we all felt that we would have felt better about the entire thing if the food had been more fairly represented and priced. If you go, don't order the tuna.

We ordered one of the appetizers, I will list the picture below, pad, Thai, and fried rice. It was honestly, some of the best typing that I have ever had. This place is so friendly, so cute, well priced, and you get very hardy portions. I cannot recommend this place enough and will be back next time. I'm in the area!
