The Dutch Crunch Sandwich was packed with turkey, bacon, swiss, tomato, arugula, and avocado mayo on dutch crunch bread. They don't skimp on toppings at all, there was plenty of turkey and bacon, and every bite was flavorful. Dalton's Double Deuce was another standout. Ham, egg salad, olive tapenade, and arugula on a fresh Italian roll. It felt like a grown up version of an egg salad sandwich. The olive tapenade adds a great punch of flavor, though it leans a little salty. And the cookies... unbelievably good. Truly some of the best cookies I've had. The Brown Sugar Cookie has a gooey center and deep caramel flavor, and the Oatmeal Cookie without no raisins, surprised me, I didn't miss the raisins at all. It tastes like it has a light honey glaze to me, and it's phenomenal. Trenchers is definitely a new favorite.

Went to McAlister's tonight to get dinner for my friends and I. I've gone to McAlister's many times and this was the worst service I've received in a long time from any restaurant. To start, the girl taking the order was flat out rude. She never once acknowledged my friends and I and acted as if we were an inconvenience to her. When my sister asked her about a sandwich on the menu she seemed very upset to have to tell her what came on the sandwich even though it never said it on the menu. Our food was brought to us by 2 people since it was a bigger order. When they realized what we ordered, the guy laughed and then the girl said "Jesus". There was absolutely no reason for commentary on our order and it was extremely unprofessional/rude. If you don't like it, great, you're not the one eating it. Not only did they make snarky comments about our order, but they forgot our pickles and they forgot to put avocado on my sisters' sandwich. When we brought the sandwich to them and asked for the avocado, the lady at the front counter walked away and never returned. Eventually someone else came from the back to get us the avocado we paid for. They brought us a sandwich with avocado but it looked like the sandwich had been mutilated to put the avocado on it. Very unimpressed with the service I received tonight and will not be returning to this location again. read more

They said that the order was stuck in their email and they had not received it. They eventually found the order and made it, but my lunch hour was limited so I was not able to get everything done in my lunch hour time frame because I had to wait for my order. My order was ready about 1240 to 12:45 PM. The restaurant did not offer to comp the meal or give us any kind of extras because of the mishap. It would've been nice for them to offer some kind of discount or coupon for the issue. I called later that day to verify what had happened and if there is something that I should do differently next time and they still did not offer any kind of a discount or any extra for the fact that my lunch was messed up. They did apologize though. Not a good lunchtime rush location to eat. read more

To the owner of McAlisters, I thank you for contacting me about waiting in your store 45 minutes for the we items that should be prepared. I still am having problems with the employees at tha 21 and Yale store when I work for delivery platforms here. The two Mexican boys and thhebtwo black boys thatt work there should be fired. They will not try to help anybody that comes in to do a to go order. Your manager even came out of the kitchen twice over the 30 minutes I waited for a sandwich and a sweet tea. My customer was mad at me because I couldn't get her food to her before her lunch ended. Your manager never asked me what I was stillwaiting for 20 minutes later. I can't eat your food because I wait too long for it and stuff is just sllopped on the plate. read more

I'd forgotten about Gruyère/onion spread until nearly the end of consumption because it wasn't spread throughout. When I hit that layer I was taken aback and now understand why it is also offered on the side. (The internet will say this isn't so, but it was an option when I ordered). It's pretty potent. But since Gruyère isn't "tangy", perhaps the pungency was the Asiago. And as others reported online, I didn't detect any onion. They describe the product fairly accurately, but a Croque Monsieur it is not. But I'll give them a pass as it's fast food. Mine wasn't ooygooy, it was rather hard toast with ham and cheese. Picture a piece of toast from your loaf of bread, with the *only* difference being the swirls in theirs. And perhaps a tad sweeter. It did taste better than my usual low calorie whole grain slice. People often complained about the price. I rarely discuss prices because that's too subjective. A.I. prices the sandwich take out @ $10.29, admitting that prices can vary by location. Don't forget you get an apple, chips, or mini baguette with it. I opted for the bread so we could have it for dinner. I don't like take out on the principle that it'll be thrown together because you're not there to complain or send it back. But it seems that more and more, present or not, there's a much lowered work ethic of just doing things right.
