Lunch today and I come here because I love their meatball subs. Got the combo meal with chips and drink included. Good stuff and very clean and nice inside. Not the smoothest process today however. After I placed my order, put the bag of chips I wanted on the counter and was asked if it was to go, I replied that I did not want it to go and stood nearby waiting. The cashier took my chips and put them on the counter behind him and handed me my drink cup. I waited. Waited some more. Finally the cashier asked me what I ordered. I told him and the sub was finally prepared. Cashier put it in a styrofoam box to go and then into a plastic bag. Told him I was eating in so he handed me my styrofoam box. No chips. Asked for the chips and he asked me "didn't you take the chips?" "No, after I placed them on the counter you took them." He told me "sorry, it's been a long day." Yes it has. In spite of the frustration the sub was good.

A trip to Tulsa = a trip to Bill & Ruth's on every visit I'm trying something new off the menu. Today was the Eastern Style Hoagie. Cold cuts with oil & vinegar. It's was tasty but not my favorite. I'm still working my way thru the menu so who knows what I'll find out to be the best sandwich. I'll fondly remember this one, loved the cold cuts, L & T, along with the oil & vinegar. I would recommend this sandwich. Service is always pleasant & friendly. We arrived before the busy lunch hour so no problem finding a table.

Both sandwiches came with homemade potato chips, a mix of regular and sweet potato and they were absolutely delicious. The Dutch Crunch Sandwich was packed with turkey, bacon, swiss, tomato, arugula, and avocado mayo on dutch crunch bread. They don't skimp on toppings at all, there was plenty of turkey and bacon, and every bite was flavorful. Dalton's Double Deuce was another standout. Ham, egg salad, olive tapenade, and arugula on a fresh Italian roll. It felt like a grown up version of an egg salad sandwich. The olive tapenade adds a great punch of flavor, though it leans a little salty. And the cookies... unbelievably good. Truly some of the best cookies I've had. The Brown Sugar Cookie has a gooey center and deep caramel flavor, and the Oatmeal Cookie without no raisins, surprised me, I didn't miss the raisins at all. It tastes like it has a light honey glaze to me, and it's phenomenal. Trenchers is definitely a new favorite.

I ordered the full size, and it was huge. I ended up splitting it into two meals. My only complaint was the house-made chips. They seemed like they had been fried ahead of time because by the time I got them, they were soggy, which was a bit disappointing. I paired everything with a root beer, and overall it was a fantastic meal. Aside from the chips, I really enjoyed it and would definitely come back.

My husband ordered the roast beef and fries. The first order of the roast beef sandwich hardly had any onions but the worst part was the hair discovered on the fries. Upon the second delivery of the same meal, we discovered a SECOND hair. Listen, we've both been in the service industry so we try to have grace toward servers and kitchens. However, the worst part was that our server indicated they had just switched kitchen staff and yet this occurred on the same dish. Secondly, my husband had the view into kitchen and saw a kitchen staff member look out the window into the restaurant and roll his eyes at our table, ostensibly for returning the meal. First time is a mistake. Second time, completely different hair thickness - felt intentional. Food is your typical brunch and diner fare. If you go, be sure to thoroughly check your food prior to eating.

I also accidentally left my credit card behind and did not realize it until about an hour and a half later. I called the restaurant, and the management immediately helped resolve the issue. Unfortunately, the quality of the service has declined significantly. During our most recent visit, our server rarely checked on us, and we waited over 30 minutes for a salad. We eventually had to ask the hostess if she could check on it for us. When our server finally brought the salad, she told us, "I thought you wanted your appetizer first, and I have another table, so someone else is going to take care of you." The interaction felt unnecessarily dismissive, particularly after we had already been waiting so long with very little attention or communication. To make matters worse, after the long wait and confusion, we were ultimately brought the wrong order. The second server who took over our table was much kinder and more attentive, which we appreciated, but by that point the overall experience had already been disappointing. It's unfortunate because we genuinely enjoyed coming here in the past and still think highly of the food, but the service during our recent visits has declined enough that we don't plan to return.
