The staff is nice and the drinks are good! The Banh Mi is just okay though. I'd recommend going somewhere else for the sandwich.

There are claw machines at the front and back and sketchbooks with colored pencils on every table so you can draw while waiting for your food. The service is friendly - you order at the front counter and get a buzzer that buzzes when your food is ready at the pickup counter. The boba drinks are good. They have a decent selection of milk teas and fruit drinks as well as toppings. The boba pearls are done right, freshly made so they are soft and chewy like they're supposed to be. Once I ordered popping boba on accident (honey boba on the menu) thinking it was regular boba sweetened with honey and did not like it. They graciously switched it out with regular boba for me which I truly appreciated. My one recommendation would be to adjust the sweetness level if you prefer lighter drinks. The last time I visited I forgot to ask and it was a bit on the sweet side for me. I've also ordered poke and teriyaki bowls from them before and it was ok. The food was fine, it just didn't stand out to me. I usually come here for the drinks but would give the food another try given the good service and atmosphere. They have ramen, rice bowls, and appetizers like chicken karaage and kimchi fries. Overall I'd recommend Gung Ho as a solid hangout spot that's centrally located with good drinks and plenty of food options.

They have one of the biggest snake plants I've ever seen in my life, but I just realized you want to know about the food, so I'm sorry and stop yelling at me. Ok so I tried their pork banh mi and oh boy, their style is authentic. The bread is soft and fresh, which they lather with mayonnaise. There was an ok amount of pork in there (idk how they cook it, but it didn't taste like the pork I'm used to). They also add pâté, which shines through every bite. If you do not like pâté, I would not recommend it. The toppings pulled it altogether into a strangely good sandwich. I say strangely because I am not used to the authentic style of banh mi. I typically like the ones like Le's One Stop. I think I would probably get it again and next time I'll try the Vietnamese coffee as well. Also, best part was the sandwich was less than $7.

I only ordered a drink here, but my friends got sandwiches and drinks. All bahn mis came out quick and fresh, they all enjoyed their sandwiches. Viet ice coffee was great! I got a passionfruit bubble drink and was pleasantly surprised that it came with popping boba, regular boba, jelly, and chia seeds. Yum!

They also provide WiFi, making it a good option if you are looking for a casual place to work or study. The staff was friendly and greeted me right away. Once I let them know I was picking up a Too Good To Go order, they started preparing it immediately. I was helped by Min, who was kind, efficient, and very helpful throughout the process. My order included: * Caramel black milk tea with brown sugar boba * Passion fruit green tea with mango popping boba The milk tea was smooth and creamy with a mellow sweetness from the brown sugar boba. The passion fruit green tea was refreshing and reminded me of something you might get from Starbucks, but with an added burst of flavor from the popping boba. Both drinks were yummy and well balanced.
