Amazing chicken! We ordered 2 Nashville chicken sandwiches with comeback sauce- basically a spicy aioli (one extra mild and one mild based on the tip that even extra mild has a decent kick). We loved them both! Husband could probably go spicier in future. We also ordered one regular fry and one spicy and the spicy were super spicy (husband loved them). I was not a huge fan. The staff were very nice. The atmosphere is fun but it's a bit small inside. The food was okay. It was also a long wait for the food. I had an extra mild chicken tender and I can see that the seasoning could get very hot very fast. The chicken was average, but if you're looking for Nashville-style hot chicken this is a good place for that. Fast food chicken restaurants with the best salad. The big franchises or the independent locals? Who has it, the best? The competitors I selected are as follows: Slim Chickens, Chick-fil A, Waldo's, Zaxby's, Red Light Chicken, Chicken and the Wolf, and Charlies Chicken. Although Chicken and the Wolf has one of the best chicken sandwiches in Tulsa they don't compete well with the other chicken joints for a salad. The chicken was good the salad was fair. Unusual in that fact that it also had Cole slaw mixed in with the greens. The lemon buttermilk dressing was thin, so it ran to the bottom of the box. And that is what I disliked the most. The Box. Tried the OG chicken sandwich yesterday in medium spice. Happy that I chose the correct spice level! This sandwich was a banger! I recommend getting this with the comeback sauce on the side and drizzle on top of the chicken as you wish. Their regular fries were also fantastic - super crunchy with the perfect seasoning. Always a solid go-to at the Mother Road Market, the chicken quality is good. The service at the mother Road market is a little bit sus for almost every business there. I think they're a little bit beaten down by the business model. I'm not trying to judge them on that. The ambience is that of a food hall, so if you're cool with that, or your kids want to have a burrito, or some barbecue, or maybe a burger, you're in good shape. Restaurant - nice, trendy (enjoyed the fireplace) Parking - not a ton and not as efficient Menu - several options (including vegan) Staff - friendly, knowledgable, helpful Ambiance - overall good experience (timeliness, cleanliness, and quality food) Restaurant is clean and trendy with outside covered patio seating and indoor seating options. Although I should be reviewing the vegan options - the restaurant uses a soy patty so the vegan options will not be included in the review. The chicken sandwich was ordered with no sauce and slaw on the side (only the pickle was on the sandwich). The chicken was bland but that may be due to the options ordered. Standard chicken sandwich - nothing special or unique. The pickle was dill with seasoning - maybe soaked in it (didn't particularly enjoy it so removed it). Like a 5 min wait at 5pm at Mother Road Market on a Friday. Wasn't too noisy inside, and conversation w I got the vegan fries with a medium spicy level, should've gotten hot. The cashier scared me into getting medium, which wasn't super spicy (Asian taste buds here hehe). If you can tolerate spicy well, get hot. Anyway, the food was tasty. The vegan chicken tasted like very firm tofu seasoned like chicken and spicy powder on the breading. It was interesting and good. The vegan fried chicken sammie is delicious. It is a seitan affair and they do it up right. The wife is a mild spice lady (in the 'born to be mild' sense as well) while I am an XXX-tra hot person who will still slather more cayenne on whatever. We both thoroughly enjoyed our sandwiches. The medium spicy level was not too much for wifey but it was almost too much. The mild is her Goldilocks level. The Xtra spicy, or whatever they call the 'as hot as you can make it' was spicy but not painful or too much, for me. It was delicious. Good flavor on the Nashville Hot but I'm telling you the HOT is FIRE so don't come without a drink. I eat hot food often and maybe I needed one of their sauces (like the ranch style sauce) to cool it but I went for the full effect.
