The food really scratches an itch that other places can't. The chips, the sandwiches, the sides, it's all fantastic. It's clear why this place is so busy! In fact, that's the only thing keeping it from a full five. For a place that is so busy, you would hope there would be some sort of system that ensures you hear your name being called, they can make it in a timely manner, the employees have time to interact, clean tables, things like that. This sandwich was pretty fire! The combination of flavors with the toasted Italian baguette was on point! Trencher's is a hole in the wall on Harvard. They have a cozy vibe with a chill bar top too! Not even reading past reviews would convince me to EVER again cross the threshold of Trenchers Deli. Ordered half a hot pastrami on toasted bread, half a stram don, and an order of tabouli. If we'd ordered whole sandwiches, cost would have been $18 EACH - for sandwichs !! As it was -- $11 for half !! Let us first discuss the tabouli. Four dollars for a teeny, tiny (5.5 oz) container. Folks, that's tiny and Four Dollars !! But more than the size, it was the driest tabouli I have EVER had in 7 decades on this Earth! There was absolutely no liquid .... at all ! And no flavor ! Again .. $4 !! Now to the chips .... hard and stale. Tasted like -- nothing. Can't even come up with a description. Let's just say .. not fresh. Now for the sandwiches .. the half pastrami had this thick coating of some sort of mustard; not bad tasting, but overwhelmed the taste of the pastrami. The stram don (whatever does that mean ?) was literally half the size of the half pastrami - very, very small. Remember -- $11 each. A bit spendy for a "sandwich" but flavors are good. I got a chicken tawook and it was a bit heavy on the pickles for my liking, but tasted good. Open the chips and let them breathe a bit before eating them as the steam inside the bag will make them soft and chewy at first - gotta let them crisp up before chomping! Place was packed at lunchtime, nowhere to sit down so I got it to go. Tight quarters waiting to get my sandwich order and very hard to hear the numbers called. I ordered 1/2 Dutch Crunch turkey sandwich. Bread was a bit hard and dry, but overall a decent sandwich. I'm not a fan of arugula on sandwiches, but unfortunately, arugula are the only greens they use. I got a very small 4 ounce side of their Taziki potato salad. TLDR; If you're a fan of deli sammies, this place is worth checking out. Working night shifts out of state, I always check out local spots for food and I have a sweet spot for deli's. I came in and they were about to close in a little under an hour, I didn't want to spend too much time looking at the menu so I asked the cashier if I could just get whatever she suggests and she told me she ordered me her kid's favorite. Had sole great tasting pastrami and some great bread. - Cuban wasn't my favorite by any means...as it had tons of pickles and mustard...and thats all I tasted. This is the spot to order food from if you have folks with dietary restrictions that need fed. Never, not even once, have I ordered special diet food from this that hasn't arrived as ordered. I have recently realized how rare this is, how much of a unicorn Trenchers is. The vegan items are great- the best sandwiches in town. The veganizable sandwiches are also a very happy fun time. Trenchers has the best bagels in Oklahoma. Their toum is outstanding. Their breads are all so, so good. Their pickled items are the stuff of dreams. The spouse and I, both vegan, eat here all the time and have yet to get bored. The sandwiches are infinitely customizable and that keeps things interesting. Our omni friends agree. No one ever says no for a group meal when Trenchers is suggested. I love the new bigger space and the addition of the booze bar. The quality has not dropped, as sometimes happens with a remodel, move, or construction. Wow what a pleasant surprise! I was looking for late night dinner on a Sunday and there aren't a lot options in Tulsa other than fast food. Walked into this place and was immediately surprised by the bar and vibe music. Wasn't planning on drinking but sat at the bar as a solo dinner and ordered a Stram Dom sandwich and couldn't pass up the opportunity to have a glass of red wine (Tempranillo Aaster) perfect combination with a pastrami sandwich. I've eaten pastrami sandwiches in NYC at Katz and pastrami queen and this pastrami was legit! Thick cut with lots of flavor and lean. The bread was fresh but had a nice crust from the panini press. Homemade kettle chips were decent but they could of used some kind of seasoning The bartender Winston was attentive and personable and represented the establishment well. My go-to order is a BLT on Dutch Crunch bread (no mayo) with arugula instead of regular lettuce, tomato, fresh bacon and 3 slices of cheddar. Amazing! Service is quick to take your order. It's true deli style so you order what you want at the counter, find yourself a table, wait for them to call your number, and pick up your order at the counter, which will be in a paper bag. Sandwiches were hot and wrapped in wax paper and a sheet of foil. I ordered a half Ruben sandwich. Meat was tender, no fat, and so so good. All ingredients were fresh and tasty. I ordered a side of tabouli instead of chips and loved it. My husband had the thick cut pastrami on rye with German mustard and it was also fantastic. Great food, but seriously lacking in customer service. I've always enjoyed the food at Trencher's Deli, but my recent experience with one of the employees was disappointing enough to rethink ordering again. I had an issue with DoorDash incorrectly showing the restaurant as closed. When I called to clarify, I was told they were open, but the employee I spoke to was dismissive and clearly uninterested in helping me resolve the issue. I tried to explain the problem and asked if she could confirm that my order would be fulfilled if I placed it and drove up 20 minutes later. Her response? "You can come up here anytime you'd like," in a passive, condescending tone that made it clear she didn't care whether my order went through or not. Spending $60 on four sandwiches, I expect more than indifference, condescension, and the kind of passive-aggressive energy you'd expect from a teenager who just got asked to do the dishes. Honestly, if I wanted to be met with attitude and eye-rolling vibes, I'd just go talk to my own kids, for free. A little professionalism and courtesy would go a long way here. You are greeted and asked to order at the counter and said that all the Sammy's came with chips and a drink. I ordered the closest to an Italian - the half and I took some of it home. I absolutely love this place. It's open till about 1 am everyday. It's a good neighbor good bar but what really takes the cake is the sandwiches. Sooooo good. I haven't had 1 bad sandwich from here, so pick any! Also the tabouli is really tasty and so is the hummus. This little gem is one of our frequent stops when we are in Tulsa. Their food always has the home-cooked flavor with a laid back & subtly humorous atmosphere. ( me some Swayze!) We love the Dutch Crunch and it seems to be a favorite with others as well. Our son is vegan and Trenchers is one of the few places in Tulsa he can get consistently flavorful and well-made meals. What a find this was. It's easy to miss Trenchers, I've been driving by it for years not ever noticing it. But today was the day that the fog was lifted from my eyes. Upon entering the non-descript entrance I was greeted by the smell of freshly baked bread as employees were working the dough destined to be the rolls they make their awesome sandwiches with. This is essentially a sandwich and salad restaurant with some yummy cookies and scones. They do have a few breakfast items such as Sexy Huevos, French toast sandwich, and something called a Vegans Dream. Those will be for another visit. We ordered the Italian roll sandwich which was huge. Cutting it in half and sharing it with another person was quite filling. It was made with a housemaid Italian roll, think the best sub roll you've ever had in your life. The sandwich ingredients are: Roast beef, spicy tomato chutney, arugula, caramelized onions, basil, served on a house made Italian roll with a generous side of housemade chips. For dessert there are scones and an assortment of cookies. This is a chill place with a laid back Bohemian vibe. I did notice that greater attention to cleanliness should be observed, particularly the floor, condiment area, espresso machine and just overall. Since this was my first visit I'll be sure to notice if that is improved during my next visit. If it isn't I'll speak to management. read more

This is hands down the best sandwich place in Tulsa. I've almost had all of them but tonight chose the Tawook and the Mama Salad. I will be absolutely getting the Tawook again.
