The Dutch Crunch Sandwich was packed with turkey, bacon, swiss, tomato, arugula, and avocado mayo on dutch crunch bread. They don't skimp on toppings at all, there was plenty of turkey and bacon, and every bite was flavorful. Dalton's Double Deuce was another standout. Ham, egg salad, olive tapenade, and arugula on a fresh Italian roll. It felt like a grown up version of an egg salad sandwich. The olive tapenade adds a great punch of flavor, though it leans a little salty. And the cookies... unbelievably good. Truly some of the best cookies I've had. The Brown Sugar Cookie has a gooey center and deep caramel flavor, and the Oatmeal Cookie without no raisins, surprised me, I didn't miss the raisins at all. Wow, the sandwich was amazing! I got the Stram Don, and it absolutely hit the spot. The pastrami was hot and flavorful, paired perfectly with the coleslaw and a fresh, soft roll. I ordered the full size, and it was huge. I ended up splitting it into two meals. My only complaint was the house-made chips. They seemed like they had been fried ahead of time because by the time I got them, they were soggy, which was a bit disappointing. The food really scratches an itch that other places can't. The chips, the sandwiches, the sides, it's all fantastic. It's clear why this place is so busy! In fact, that's the only thing keeping it from a full five. For a place that is so busy, you would hope there would be some sort of system that ensures you hear your name being called, they can make it in a timely manner, the employees have time to interact, clean tables, things like that. I ordered 1/2 Dutch Crunch turkey sandwich. Bread was a bit hard and dry, but overall a decent sandwich. I'm not a fan of arugula on sandwiches, but unfortunately, arugula are the only greens they use. I got a very small 4 ounce side of their Taziki potato salad. I have recently realized how rare this is, how much of a unicorn Trenchers is. The vegan items are great- the best sandwiches in town. The veganizable sandwiches are also a very happy fun time. Trenchers has the best bagels in Oklahoma. Their toum is outstanding. Their breads are all so, so good. Their pickled items are the stuff of dreams. The spouse and I, both vegan, eat here all the time and have yet to get bored. The sandwiches are infinitely customizable and that keeps things interesting. Our omni friends agree. No one ever says no for a group meal when Trenchers is suggested. I love the new bigger space and the addition of the booze bar. Cons: five years ago, a coworker took me here. She insisted I try the Reuben. It wasn't for me. And I hadn't been back to trencher's until today. I got a sample of the tzatziki potato salad. It's true deli style so you order what you want at the counter, find yourself a table, wait for them to call your number, and pick up your order at the counter, which will be in a paper bag. I've always enjoyed the food at Trencher's Deli, but my recent experience with one of the employees was disappointing enough to rethink ordering again. I had an issue with DoorDash incorrectly showing the restaurant as closed. When I called to clarify, I was told they were open, but the employee I spoke to was dismissive and clearly uninterested in helping me resolve the issue. I tried to explain the problem and asked if she could confirm that my order would be fulfilled if I placed it and drove up 20 minutes later. Her response? "You can come up here anytime you'd like," in a passive, condescending tone that made it clear she didn't care whether my order went through or not. Spending $60 on four sandwiches, I expect more than indifference, condescension, and the kind of passive-aggressive energy you'd expect from a teenager who just got asked to do the dishes. Honestly, if I wanted to be met with attitude and eye-rolling vibes, I'd just go talk to my own kids, for free. A little professionalism and courtesy would go a long way here. If we'd ordered whole sandwiches, cost would have been $18 EACH - for sandwichs !! As it was -- $11 for half !! Let us first discuss the tabouli. Four dollars for a teeny, tiny (5.5 oz) container. Folks, that's tiny and Four Dollars !! But more than the size, it was the driest tabouli I have EVER had in 7 decades on this Earth! There was absolutely no liquid .... at all ! And no flavor ! Again .. $4 !! Now to the chips .... hard and stale. Tasted like -- nothing. Can't even come up with a description. Let's just say .. not fresh. Now for the sandwiches .. the half pastrami had this thick coating of some sort of mustard; not bad tasting, but overwhelmed the taste of the pastrami. This place is one of a kind! I was surprised. When we first walked in I witnessed them making the bread from scratch! You are greeted and asked to order at the counter and said that all the Sammy's came with chips and a drink. I ordered the closest to an Italian - the half and I took some of it home. The hubbs ordered the salami and rye and said it was top shelf! This place surprised me because it has a full bar inside - shuffle board and a ps5 station. I had no idea how cool it was in here! I absolutely love this place. It's open till about 1 am everyday. It's a good neighbor good bar but what really takes the cake is the sandwiches. Sooooo good. I haven't had 1 bad sandwich from here, so pick any! Also the tabouli is really tasty and so is the hummus. This little gem is one of our frequent stops when we are in Tulsa. Their food always has the home-cooked flavor with a laid back & subtly humorous atmosphere. ( me some Swayze!)
