I ordered the McAlister's club and the ham was slapped on like a huge wad of meat and it was not good. And the onions, which I like but were chopped huge. Workers here are always sweet and professional. Came here with some friends to get soup/salad and potatoes/sandwiches for lunch. They keep the Restruant super clean and are super kind to refill your drinks at your table. They also have military discount with valid I.D. I only get one sandwich here, the spicy chicken, with a side of tortilla soup. I brought my grandson here, but he has learned that "whatever Poppa Mike gets is best, so I'm gonna order it too." That 10 year old inhaled his sandwich, with a big smile on his face. He chose to finish the sandwich and the soup despite the beautiful chocolate chip cookie in front of him. If that's not a glowing recommendation, I don't know what is. Now the sandwich is pillowy fresh baked bread, carefully hugging grilled chicken strips, fresh avocado strips, pepper jack cheese, a chipotle aioli, and sliced fresh avocado. Best sandwich I've ever had. The tortilla soup is delicious and flavorful, if a bit thick. And I LOVE the homemade lemonade. I took my 75 year old father for a very late lunch after surgery at the hospital. When an employee delivered our food to the table he overheard my dad wanting his bracelets off but didn't have a knife and he offered to cut them off for him! My dad and I went to eat lunch on July 27. I got my dad grilled chicken club sandwich and I got the garden fresh Turkey sandwich! I got regular lemonade since they didn't have strawberry lemonade. Well, we are fans of McAlister's, but this one won't top the list as a worthy location. First, they were out of macaroni and cheese; second, all of their bottled water was frozen (they said they forgot to defrost it); third, my salad was wilted and halfway slimy, and finally, the bathrooms were filthy. I came here with my family for supper. I ordered the grilled chicken salad and the country potato soup. The soup was ok nothing special. Was not hot but lukewarm. The salad was nasty. The veggies were not crisp as they are supposed to be in a salad. The lettuce was wilted, cucumbers and tomatoes very soft, the chicken was cold. When I order a grilled chicken salad I expect the chicken to be warm. I also expect the veggies in the salad to be crisp not wilted, soggy, and soft. I was open minded to try this place again. I didn't like it the first time but my family eats here a lot. Got takeout with half sandwich and half potato. The sandwich was soggy, meat, well, there was hardly any. Same with cheese but looked and tasted old. It was disgusting. The sandwich was 2 soggy pieces of bread. The potato was hard and undercooked. It's not the cheapest place to eat so with my horrible meal, and my husbands it's like we just threw over $20 out the window. We'll never eat here again. read more

I was extremely impressed with this McAlister's location. They have the same food as every other location, but the level of customer service they provide is INCREDIBLE. I've never been smiled at so much, and checked on so often at any other location. It never got "weird" where you feel like you're being intruded upon, but my drink never got low and every concern I had was addressed immediately. They're also not territorial of their areas of the restaurant, any waiter/waitress will help you out if they walk by and see you need something. The food, as usual, is pretty good. Not amazing, but filling and they have some healthy options. Customer service is what will bring you back! read more

I normally go to McAlister's Deli once a week with my coworkers for one vital reason. They offer an assortment of delicately crafted and affordable salads, sandwiches, and soups. The staff is always and willing offer a plethora of refills to their guests. The seating area is quite large for all the various party sizes and can be easily moved to accommodate large parties of six or more. I just adore how the color schemes match perfectly with their company logo. I will admit that their recent trend towards avocado filled sandwiches keeps me coming, especially their Southwest Spicy Chicken Sandwich. read more

McAllister's seems to be a southern/midwest version of Panera Bread. It's cheaper and better, in my opinion. It's a laid back cafe style place, but they bring the food out to the table. For $6.50, I got a caesar wrap and a side of mac and cheese. The caesar wrap was only ok. Whoever made it barely dressed it at all. My friend also got a caesar salad, and it had little to no dressing on it as well. I use very little dressing so if it was not enough for me, it probably wasn't even there. It may be a chain, but the whole restaurant drips with local pride. Just about every wall is adorned with pictures and posters representing the various high schools in Wichita Falls -- a nice touch that makes McAlister's feel rooted in the city, even if it technically isn't. The sandwich menu is extensive and varied, and the portion sizes are pretty large. I had the four cheese griller -- "a grown up grilled cheese" -- and it was really good. The bread was nicely crisped on the outside; the cheese was gooey and warm on the inside, and having brie, swiss, cheddar, and parmesan all together in one sandwich was undeniably awesome. For my included side I chose the potato salad, and McAlister's was off the chain. Everyone else in my group looked really happy with their food. The stuffed potatoes are a sight to behold. I cant tell if the potatoes are cut a special way or if they're just heinously large, but they looked like a meal and a half. If you're in a rush, McAlister's might not be the best bet since their food seem to take a more time to prepare than say...a place like Jimmy John's, but that slightly slower pace creates a more relaxing atmosphere -- the kind that invites you to sit back and hang out for a bit. And at ~$5-$7 for just about every option, McAlister's is a solid choice for anyone in search of a fresh, delicious sandwich at an affordable price. read more

This was my first time eating here. I was looking forward to a loaded potato for lunch but I was really disappointed. I ordered the Black Angus Roast Beef Spud and received a huge potato with very little toppings. I asked if they had a toppings bar and was told no, but I could get some sour cream if I wanted some. The beef was very fatty and very low in quality and quantity. My wife ordered the chicken and bacon spud and she said her's was really good but she did not finish the meal because there was way too much potato to consume.
