Fried green chile strips are amazing! Great place to watch a game. Parking is a train wreck.

God I miss this place! I have been craving parkway for a while now and actually had an opportunity to be in the Falls, so I decided to go. It was 7:30 on a Thursday night, but it was still packed. Luckily we found a seat. It is kinda loud in there, but after all it is a sports bar and grill. We got our usual which was fried cheese and nachos. The cheese are these huge mozzarella pieces battered and fried. Heaven on a plate. The nachos are HUGE! We had 3 people sharing and we still couldn't finish them! I love the hot sauce that comes with them as well. There isn't a whole lot of cilantro in it so that is a plus. I would have loved to have given them 5 stars, but our waitress was not the best. We had to flag her down several times and she seemed put out that we wanted fresh plates to put our nachos on. She would have gotten a great tip, because I usually tip as well when someone else is paying, but the way she acted was a complete turn off. Maybe she was having a bad day? This place and Yelp suggestions did not disappoint!!! Our server was the sweetest thing ever and very attentive and on point. She suggested the cheese sticks and oh my, they were HUGE and delicious!!! Definitely a must if you stop by. All of our dishes were packed with flavor and also HUGE! Now when you enter the parking lot, the parking is scarce if it's a busy night and kind of at an angle so a little awkward. You walk in and seat yourself. There are a lot tables, seats and TV's. She did an absolutely fantastic job. Food is tasty, and portion size is huge. (A single full order of parkway nachos fills two styrofoam square containers.) it is a packed sports bar... they've been busy every time I've gone. Service is pretty standard and most of the food is "home cooking" quality. The only real downside is there is nowhere near enough parking, and people park Willy-nilly however they want, making the parking situation even worse. read more

Stopped in after a very long day of driving (roadtripping from Fort Worth to Denver). We found a comfortable comfortable setting, friendly efficient service, and a decent menu. Our food was good, and portions were very generous. Lots of sports TVs going, but not at all loud or intrusive (other than customers occasionally raucously cheering touchdowns haha). One thing: Parking is terrible -- small lot with one way traffic makes it hard if the lot is full -- after much scouting and reversing we ended up parking in the shopping center in the other side of the Whataburger next door. Farther than I wanted to walk on a rainy night. All in all, it's a nice alternative to the usual mediocre chains and fast food joints. If I lived nearby, I'd probably pop in pretty regularly. read more

Stopped by here with my son before dropping him off for his 2nd semester at MSU. I wanted some local grub that had wings and burgers, and not the everyday BWW type place. This spot does not disappoint. My son ordered the wings, and I had the parkway classic burger. Waitress was very friendly, and I can't say enough about the food. Wings were sauced very generous, and they were very filling. Burger was cooked perfect, and hit the spot. I'm only surprised this place wasn't packed, but then again it was a tad early in the afternoon. Inside is very chill, and very clean, which is always a huge plus. We pass by this establishment often so we know the parking gets hellacious. We wanted to beat the crowd because the parking lot is very small so my husband took me out to an early dinner. The restaurant was already quite busy when we walked in. We were seated in the back corner next to a huge tv. We have friends who come here to drink and watch sports and I quickly understood why! My husband and I shared The Trio and I ordered some Amaretto Sours. Everything was soooo delicious! The fried cheese was the best mozzarella stick I have ever tasted. I always order chicken quesadilla if it is an option and these did not disappoint! I am not much of a nacho girl, but I devoured these! The portion size was huge. The two of us shared and we still did not finish our dish! As for the drinks, I will always order an Amaretto Sour. These are not hard to make, but the brand of Amaretto used will alter the taste. They were busy but they quickly cleaned a recently cleared table so we could sit. Waitress came over right away for drinks and appetizers. Beer was cold in a cold mug. Tasted like it doesn't sit in the keg too long. Wife is a Diet Coke connoisseur and had no complaints. No "is Coke Zero okay?" (It's not) so that's good. Food came quickly. French Dip with homemade onion rings. Side of house made ranch. Au Jus was flavorful. Sandwich was spot on. Good bread. Chicken sandwich was done right. Chicken was pounded thin but still the whole breast. Only way to do it right. Hand-cut fries seasoned uniquely. Seasoning is a touch sweet but balanced. Daughter loved the grilled cheese and "regular" (frozen) fries. It was pretty loud but not so bad you couldn't talk to one another. Tolerable. We'll be back. read more

The parking lot appeared to be packed but when we entered we realized the place was quite spacious and had plenty of seating. The bonus was TVs everywhere with plenty of sports to watch. As far as the service, some of the girls are super nice but a few of the older ones that work there you can tell they are over it. Too Long, Didn't Read; Waited upwards of 15 minutes and left without receiving service. Edit: The owner is claiming that Parkway is a seat yourself venue, if that's the case then I would suggest they take down the sign in the front area that says "Please wait to be seated". I've been to Parkway a couple of times before, it's never been great but I decided to come back and try it again, thinking that maybe I was wrong. Unfortunately I will not be going back. Admittedly, I showed up for a table on the tail end of the dinner rush, but the hostess (and her coworker friend) could not be bothered to help us. We gave the hostess a name for the table, then she and her coworker disappeared to the bathroom and were never seen again. After 10 minutes, a man from the kitchen noticed how many people were waiting and went out of his way to clean off tables and seat us himself. He was genuinely very helpful, and he escapes all blame in this review. After getting seated, we waited for someone to take our drink order. And then we waited... and waited... after 15 minutes we had still not been visited by anybody. Not for a drink order, not for a menu, nothing! We called it a loss and took our business down the road to a new mexican place and received excellent service. I genuinely don't understand why Parkway draws the attention that it does, the food is not good and the service is poor. Take your business to literally anywhere else. read more

We've eaten in and carried out a number of times and we like the food but the service is frequently sketchy. We don't feel uncomfortable or anything like that. The problem is the orders are frequently wrong. One call in order was totally wrong, they tried to fix it again and gave me another family's order, and had to fix it again. My G-Daughter and I went to lunch here. It was dark inside and as we walked in I realized it was more like a pub. Completely different from Northside Grill! We seated ourselves and the waitress took our order quickly. She was friendly and helpful. I ordered a Rueben and my g-daughter ordered a burger. The food came out quickly. The portions are sizable and the food was mediocre. The place seemed dark and old. It looked like it had seen better days; it definitely needed an update! I looked for the restroom, had to ask the bartender. It was located just inside the front door! It needed a good cleaning! The servers, cooks, and mangers are always amazing. The food is delicious and hot. The reason for a 4/5 is because the fact that regulars are loud, obnoxious, and never told no. Your regular are not always known. We come out a lot And have probably made a better connection with the service crew than the "regulars". When your service Crew send you a text to defend themselves, you need to listen to them!! Bc what I witnessed as the restaurant was totally uncalled for, where the wait staff was having to cover for the "regulars" at their own certificate defense bc the the owners did not have their hard working employee's back. When "regulars" are being rude, ugly, and disrespectful to the wait staff, it's time for owners to man up and allow their employees to cut them off. I could make a whole argument to the WFPD and TDL for this process. One thing about me, I will defend what is wrong. Your "regulars" are not what make or break a business. Great find in Wichita Falls, TX. Parking is limited, but after driving around a couple of times. I got a place in back. First time here, I almost didnt see why this place was so busy due to difficulty in parking. I had the Pulled Pork Nachos and a Half order of Mozzarella sticks. The pulled pork is awesome. Smoked just right, tender, juicy and full of Texas BBQ flavor. I hear they smoke their own pork and chicken. MozzarelIs sticks are good too. We frequent here often, but haven't left a review. We always have great service no matter how busy they are. If you're looking for a local restaurant with a wide array of food, this place is a must. The "sports bar" theming I think is enhanced when you consider most of it has a local tie to it. This restaurant has reasonably good reviews and was close to our hotel, so we stopped in to check it out. The interior looks nice and trendy, reasonably clean, and at the time of our visit, not too busy. Although I can see it getting noisy at busy times. But there are TVs on just about every wall and a lot of them. The food was overall good, with an exception. The chicken wrap wasn't good, to the point where I couldn't eat it. The chicken was tough and chewy. The helpful waitress took that off the bill, so I won't hold that against them. Fortunately, the salad I had was large (and tasty) enough so that it was enough for my current appetite. The brisket fries and shake were also quite tasty, which is probably the type of food you should probably be ordering at a restaurant such as this. On our way back to Austin from Oklahoma, we decided to stop here at Parkway Grill and I'm extremely satisfied that we did. It was about 11:30 am when we stopped so a Bloody Mary sounded lovely. I had never seen a Bloody Mary 'shaken' but the cute young lady treated it like a cosmopolitan. . . super interesting but still tasted delicious. Totally hit the spot! Since we didn't have breakfast that morning, we loaded up on lunch. I noticed the Chicken Fried Steak option and jumped on it! I ordered mash potatoes and corn with it and OMG it was delicious. I didn't need salt or pepper. The corn was oddly cold but it was fine as I was diving into the steak and potatoes. I could have easily asked the bartender to have it warmed up but I didn't want to bother anyone. Kelli the bartender was super nice and treated us with much kindness. Our bill was only $36; that was for my dish, my drink and my hubby ordered a burger and iced tea. Great local sports bar with excellent food and a respectable draft selection. We were passing through on our way back to Houston from vacation in Colorado and stayed nearby for the night. We were heading to Buffalo wild wings when we saw this place along the road and made a u-turn to head here instead. Glad we did! Prices are good for the quality. Lots of tvs around to entertain the sports fanatics in our party. The service was prompt and friendly. There were 7 in our party and we ordered a variety including chicken fried chicken (off menu), cheeseburger, wings, swiss mushroom burger, triple play, and blackened catfish. With the exception of the catfish, which my sister said was a little bland, everything was tasty, hot and fresh. I would definitely recommend this place over BWW any day. read more
