We came two weekends in a row and will Probably be back soon. Food was so good and truly reminds you of home cooking. The first time we had the turkey and dressing. My husband picky, doesn't like dressing and was IN LOVE. So was I. So yummy. The second time I had the fish and shrimp and it was SO good. He has the pork chop. I think we've found our favorite place! Both times our servers were kind. I ordered peach cobbler and asked for more crust than fruit and the server truly delivered. I am driving to Denver from Texas and stopped at a hotel in Wichita Falls. Since I have two dogs in the room, it's hard for me to leave to go eat shout. I looked at the reviews and ordered their specials too chicken fried steaks and two hamburgers. The hamburgers are for the dogs. They are just got here hot. The portions are huge And the reviews are correct. I like supporting mom and pop places rather than big chains so this was my opportunity and this is why the reviews are so good. No, they didn't have sweet potato which I ordered, but I wasn't too stressed out about it and I think they sent me extra things just to make up for it which was great. I've got more food than I could eat, but I can preheat it tomorrow morning before I get on the road and the dogs were very happy about their hamburgers. read more

Came earlier this week got an old lady that was more concerned with her cell phone than serving us... and it wasn't even busy.. sat with empty drinks for a while as other servers just looked at us and continued their conversations with each other. Every time we go there we have problems. The food is usually good if it's not cold. Tonight we went to dinner there. We had to wait for a table to be cleaned. It took 20 min to get our order but it wasn't right. My husband had to ask for his apples that were supposed to come with his pork chop. They were out of bread plates. Never got any. Out of cornbread. Out of baked potatoes. The server didn't even bring us our food. Another server did. My rice was just thrown on the plate under my salmon. Never offered refills on drinks. He didn't care for them, because he said they were hard. I tasted them and they truly needed seasoning, not even a hint of salt. Abigail was a nice and sweet girl that joked with us, gave us great advice and was very honest with us. Ask for her tables, I am not goin to steer you wrong. Now for the food, we started with the fried green tomatoes. If you never had them before then go ahead and order you some of these bad boys. They were great the 3 times we ordered it. And 2 out of the 3 times I ordered this plate I was impressed. My buts of lobster were a bit over cooked. My tilapia was a slight bit dry, just a slight. The shrimp were cooked perfectly. But then again I like my foods with a little crunch to them. My sides were the brocolli rice casserole and the steamed veggies. Ibwas a bit hesitant at first to eat the rice only because that is definitely a different way to incorporate rice cheese and brocolli into a single dish. The quality of food is leagues above the price range! We we here on a Friday evening. We asked to be sat outside and were the only patrons outside. They were enforcing cdc masking guidelines . The carrot cake was fantastic, and my hurricane beverage was tasty. Our waitress was on her game and very attentive.
