I love this park. The grounds are large enough to feel like you can run around and frolick, and I like the looks of the people that you see around. In Pasadena a lot of the parks double as the sleeping grounds for homeless people... not family-outing-inviting... But McCambridge park feels safe through and through. Even as late as 10 pm, I see young men playing basketball, and I would feel comfortable taking a jog... which means a lot. I think a lot of parks can be unsafe late at night and early in the morning, but not McCambridge. read more

It is a good size park with nice picnic tables and big grassy areas, I appreciate this because there are other parks in Burbank with very limited or small grass areas. My 1 year old boy loves to run on the grass and play ball in this park. It has playgrounds structures for children of different ages, which is also very nice. The tennis courts are great too. Don't forget to scan the place first before you let your little ones run around though, some dog owners don't like to pick up after their pets. read more

I love this park... but parents PLEASE WATCH YOUR KIDS!!! It's ridiculous how many mom's sit and spend more time on their phone than with their kids. And if you're a big kid please stay away from the toddler playground. It isnt fair to them -the toddlers. Its a big park with playgrounds for all ages so please stay in your designated area. This park is right across from my condo. It's always so clean and well kept. Not only do I know this first hand because my kids play at the jungle gym area, but I've played soccer there before, and had many picnics there as well. In addition, when I am dropping my kids off at school in the morning and we are sitting at the red light in front on Scott Road, there's always a maintenance team cleaning up, or working on the lawn! How amazing is that! What a great park.. And great city! Happy to be a part of this! Oh.. Great park for gatherings or a quick trip. Large enough to accomodate multiple events, organized activities or simple use by neighbors. A full slate of athletic fields and activites is available. The pool and tennis center in particular are world class. Everything is clean and well maintained. This is currently my favorite park in the City. read more

LOVE THIS PARK! Coolest play area around. Only complaint is that the parents here don't seem to care what their kids are doing. I watched 2 boys bully and name call another little boy and the response of the 2 moms was well.....nothing. They were too busy chatting to even notice. Please watch your kids! Today was the first day of swim lessons ! It went great ! My daughters swim teachers name is Gabby ! I can tell she is A great teacher already ! It was great the lessons for my little one ate 30 for all summer till Aug 9 on Saturday for 30 mins. Gabby got a lot done with the kids in that 30 mins. We were also looking at special things they do at the Burbank pools this summer. They have A Water Carnival coming up & A Movie Night Swim ! We will be getting our tickets for those ! All in all Burbank has A great swim program. If you don't live in Burbank you can bring the kids for lessons & all that. It just coat a little more ! read more

I came here to play Volleyball in the gym indoors. It fit two volleyball nets which allowed two games to go on at the same time, but it was definitely cramped. The basketball hoops that were raised kept getting in the way the entire time, which was definitely annoying. They have a small parking lot right in front of the gym. McCambridge Park is a charming tiny park located in a very nice and quiet residential neighborhoods as you head towards the city of Burbank. This park is easily accessible from the 5 Golden State Freeway and North Glenoaks Blvd. Perfectly nestled between Verdugo Mountains and Griffith Park. This is park is adjacent to the Burbank International Airport. There are plenty open spaces and fields for outdoor activities such as baseball, soccer and basketball. This park also offers a decent sized children's playground and large community pool. There are pave paths for strolling, walking and exercising. This parks is very popular during major holidays. A park like this is one of the few things I miss about the suburbs of my youth. It's the definition of family-friendly. And it won't disappoint anyone like myself, who is more concerned with having a nice spot to toss the frisbee with some friends or play a little basketball. But here's what I really love... there are bocce courts. Or at least reasonable facsimiles that my friends and I co-opt from time to time. I often bring my lunch here during the work week and sit out on a lovely day. There are always benches available, grounds are kept well, and it's huge. There are basketballs courts, tennis courts, a rec center and a couple of playgrounds where I always see/hear kids playing. It's a public city park so you may get the occasional bum, gross items found on the grounds, etc., but over all - McCambridge is a GREAT park! read more

Great park with tennis courts, softball fields, a pool, and a playground. Lots of big shady trees to lay under too! My only critique: the bathrooms are almost always gross and dirty...and you're lucky if there's soap to wash your hands. Otherwise, I love this park though!!!! read more

I brought my 4 & 6 year old's here on a Monday around 3:30. I was attempting to find a good parking spot, but found that the park is situated in the center of the property, surrounded with a large building and open grass areas all around, making it impossible to park right in front. Anywhere you park, you will need to walk in, which wouldn't have been so bad... but while making our trip around the block, I saw a very large group of teenagers (10-20 of them) sitting around smoking pot. I would recommend steering clear of this place just after school, unless you want to have The Dare campaign speech with your little ones. read more

I took my kids to this park last weekend and they loved it. There is a lots of sun and I felt very safe even after 8:00 pm. I almost wanted to learn how to play tennis seeing as we have two beautiful clay courts just a few minutes away from home! I was a bit skeptical about public pools in general but this one really surprised as the restrooms are well kept and the pool seems clean as well. I had such a great experience that I decided to take up jogging every Tuesday and Thursday evenings. They have a great running track that really gets my heart rate pumping that even our dog seems to enjoy. There are little to no homeless people which is somewhat of a plus. Overall, I would recommend this park to anyone with a family or casual fitness junkies like myself! read more

I used to enjoy coming here but stopped because of the homeless people who live there. I have nothing against homeless people but the fact that they actually live there just don't make me feel comfortable going there. There's a couple of guys who live in the park under a big tent in one of park benches and across from them there is another guy who lives inside a white truck (parked along Scott Road). The white truck has been there since like forever and never moved. When I used to jog around McCambridge Park in the morning, I thought I smelled horse manure every time I pass the truck thinking that truck was some sort of horse carriage but later on I realized the smell was actually something else. When I realized that, I just stopped coming. This place now gives me the creeps so now I stay away. Too many weird people in a place where regular folks should feel secure but I just don't feel comfortable and safe so too bad I can't enjoy this place anymore. read more

This review is regarding the pool. The location is nice with plenty of parking but the ladies bathroom/changing area is always dirty. I could understand if I were to come at the end of the day, but I come anywhere between 530a to 9am. I spoke to the manager in charge and he was nice and approachable as well as apologetic. One thing that got my attention was that he said that he and other male staff clean the Men's area and can't go in there. I agree, but I see plenty of female lifeguards. I don't know if they don't want to do the dirty work, but someone has to. We pay to access this pool. read more

I would have to say this may be the worst park in Los Angeles. Toddlers using this smaller playground constantly slipping on the raised cushion platform. Whoever designed this forgot to test toddlers walking on it as toddlers slipped all day long and one was bleeding pretty bad. Do not take your toddler there. Walking back to the parking we had to use the bathroom. A sign pointing inside with restroom. We walked in and she kicked out a 4 year boy who was needing urgent bathroom. She said this is for members only. So child was crying and we had to walk and find the restroom for the public. read more

MC CAMBRIDGE PARK SWIMMING POOLS - The shower rooms and changing areas are well maintained. I've seen them cleaning on a daily basis. the swimming fee for open swim in very reasonable. i took my daughter there for swim lessons this last summer. they were well organized and the instruction was fun but also had expectations and pushed the children to learn quickly. the fee was super reasonable - $30 I believe for 9 classes!!! my only reason for four stars is the fact that they close down just before August 15. ummmm summer isn't really over yet. the open swims would be highly appreciated for the weekends at the very least... all the way into October I am sure. read more

This is an awesome park. Play tennis, basketball, catch with ur son or daughter. The kids playground area is so cool for the toddlers and even the big kids. If u have kids or don't, nieces or nephews maybe, definitely the place u want ur kids to burn off energy. This is a nice park, lots of open space & it is well maintained. The playground is nice for kids & the lawn makes for a nice stroll when you are in the neighborhood. It does get crowded though, especially on weekends when there are often birthday parties or other gatherings. One caveat, make sure you understand the tennis courts are not public. They are pay-to-play and not very cheap. You can get a membership if you want to play often though, and the courts are very well maintained. read more

They recently renovated the entire playground. It has more obstacle courses and climbing structures such as a "spider web" and rock climbing. Great gross motor building for children 5 and up. But for a mother of a 18 mos old, there wasn't much to do. My ill guy was looking for the swing (his favorite) but they took down the bucket swings in the toddler playground. The toddler side is left with a bridge and 2 slides. Not much for the ill ones. It's still a great park, but I won't be returning for another 2 years or so. read more

I really enjoy taking my son to this park. It is clean, big and shady. It is perfect for the older kids that want to climb, jump and hang from everything. We have only been in the afternoons so I can only speak to that time of day. Downside to afternoons, the tween and teens hang out there after school and there are lots of colorful words that fly. Thankfully my son is so engrossed in playing that he doesn't even realize it. Other than that, this park rocks! There are plenty of benches and tables to sit at in the shade while the kids play. The play area is pretty well shaded with sun sails so they roast in the sun. I highly recommend this park if you have children 7 years and up. read more

I haven't been to McCambridge Park with the kiddos in a while. It was a bummer to see a few games busted and needing repair. The tough part was to see a couple kids get hurt on them. In particular the dragon fly teeter totter. Little girl got hit hard on the head. Also the sand is so low kids and adults keep tripping when walking off rubber matte to sand. I hope Burbank can take care of these repairs sooner than later. read more
