Feb.27th, 3:10 PM I was greeted and quickly seated. Apart from the conversations and the laughter of other customers, the dining atmosphere is always good as the TV monitors and overhead music is kept to a low volume and the restaurant is CLEAN! I went there speciffically for the Fish Platter Plate. "OMG! KUDOS to the Cook". The fish was perfectly deep fried: smooth golden brown batter without the 'clumps' that get saturated with excess oil. The fish was very tender, tasty and moist! An Excellent Meal! Denny's of Selma is a very good restaurant: the managers have a visible presence, help as needed, and interact with Servers and Customers! Also, as customers know, the 'Face' of any Restaurant are the Servers: they are all Congenial, Competent and Very Good! {there is One who excels at her job and shows qualities of a potential assist. manager). 9/21/24 Getting breakfast for tomorrow!! Moons over my Hammy with egg whites and the Choconana pancakes stack with SF syrup ordered. The worker was kind and said it would be ready in 20 min. I went to get it shortly later. They are very busy! I went up to the front register and greeted by a kind worker letting her know of order. She went to get it and I paid for it with another worker who wasn't real kind or welcoming, but oh well. It was brought out and handed over by the same kind worker with a smile. Restaurant is safe and clean! Busy!! Packed! Many waiting to be seated. That's why there aren't many pics. 9/22/24 Happy Sunday everyone! Breakfast split. Moons over my Hammy 1/2 was good! Not much egg white or ham, but still a good taste with the cheese and toast. Came with hash browns and they were good too!! Half of the Choconana stack with SF syrup was Great! Lots of sweet, tasty flavor with the chocolate chips & banana. Chocolate chips in the pancakes too, for more chocolate flavor! Yummy!! Plus, it a lot! Almost another meal of leftovers!! Plenty for two!! I'm sure mother will feel the same when she gets up to have hers! Good service from greeter and same worker that brought the order. I came to this Denny's with my older niece as I had her for the weekend. Since she had to come along with me on my errands ; we stopped and got Denny's for breakfast in Selma as my car was being serviced. She was hungry so it was the perfect place for our appetites that day on 12/22/22. It was about 8am and it was pretty empty. We were seated promptly and given menus. Our server was very friendly but asked if we wanted to order right when we sat down xD I politely let her know to give us a few minutes to review the menu and for the niece to pick out what she wanted. The niece opted for the Chocolate Chip Pancakes with bacon and sausage with orange juice. I ended up getting a lit and fit meal that was gluten free. The niece really enjoyed herself here as she was such a chatter box talking about her little life and goals she has for herself while chowing down on good food. By the time we were prepping to leave around 10am it was very packed! The niece exclaimed "Its the best day ever" as she enjoyed our time here. I cannot thank Denny's enough for allowing me and niece to bond amongst a good meal. I'm sure i'll be back as I only get my car serviced at the Auto Mall across the street and I would love to take the niece with me again. Overall, good food, company and staff. So I have already done a review of this Denny's location. But I felt like I need to say it again. This Dennys rocks! Being someone that does not like chain restaurants. This place has won me over and has become a go to spot for my wife and I. The service is awesome and the place is clean! We had a young lady named Angelica this morning and she was what a waitress should be. Friendly and making sure your visit is a great experience. Didn't bug us every 5 minutes. But checked on us periodically to see how we were doing. More coffee etc. the coffee by the way is really good here. My wife and I both chose the build your own omelet and added pretty much the same ingredients. They were cooked perfectly and were delicious. I think we're going to make an effort to come back and try their lunch menu. If Denny's corporate reads this you need to know this location is doing it right and deserves recognition. Just because an establishment is a chain restaurant doesn't mean the food can't be made excellent! It's all about the management and employees that care about their profession. My husband and I have been eating at Selma's Denny's for years. We drive further just to eat at this Denny's. Raul, the manager, is on top of everything. We have seen him do everything from cooking to bussing tables. All servers, especially Araceli and Danielle, are wonderful. They know the menu inside and out. They always have a smile on their face. I ordered a T bone steak medium well eggs over easy white toast. There was more fat then meat on the T bone steak. The white toasted needed to be cooked. My butter on the toast looked white. This means the toasted was neither cooked or hot. The hash browns looked under cooked. Shouldnt my hash browns look a little brown. Not all white pieces with no color of being cooked. I came in on a Sunday as a party of 6. We were seated quickly. We had Danielle as a waitress and she was wonderful. She was so on top of everything and she made it look effortless. My mom and grandma both ordered custom omelettes. Each omelette was brought out perfectly. I had the Denny's eggs Benny which I was skeptical about but it was very good. I'm visiting from N.C. and this is my grandpas favorite place to eat. I was glad to find out that during this pandemic... we made it to a time where we could eat out again. The diner was open at 50% capacity. When we walked in we were greeted and seated promptly. Our server was a young man with frosted tips in his hair! (I asked him his name but it was muffled because of the mask he was wearing. But I think the description might do him justice) He was patient with us. We needed some time to figure out what we wanted to order. Once we ordered our food came out quickly. It was all correct and super yummy! They did get busy while we were eating. My grandpa asked one of the workers for a refill on his coffee... the young lady he asked turned and asked another staff member who was currently checking and bagging orders. We waited for 20 minutes and it never happened. That's why I took off a star. It would have taken no less than a minute to refill his drink. They charged 99 cents for each small container, about the same size as a half and half cup. He needed 6. So he paid $6 besides the cost of coffee! Local Denny's, nothing spectacular or fancy. It's my go to place when I don't feel like cooking because I am against eating fast food. I like the skillets and burgers and their Diet Coke is amazing, especially with extra ice. The restaurant is usually pretty clean and staff is nice. They honor coupons which is always good for the wallet. I haven't had a horrible experience here, although sometimes we wait longer for our food, depends on how busy I guess. Avoid Friday nights and Sundays after church because it seems like the entire town made it a pledge on their ancestors graves to come here during that time. :P read more

First time here and we WILL BE BACK. Our waiter is extremely polite and as I sit here and watch the other employees and the way the interact with others they are super polite as well. The salad I had was fresh and crunchy and cold and the chicken fried steak is amazing. My wife had a sizzling skillet that she says tastes great and I smells Hella good. This is perhaps the smallest Denny's I've been to based on occupancy. That being said, when I walked in with my girlfriend, we could tell it was very busy, however that didn't take anything away from the service I have cometo love and expect from any of the Denny's I have been to. You can tell that the servers and bussers were feeling a bit overwhelmed. Our server Araceli didn't let that affect how she was with us or any of her other tables. I came in this morning to pick up my food. The food was great and was ready in ten minutes. But, I was left in shock with how the manager (YES, the manager) treated a customer right in front of me. I walked in and there was a man at the register looking at a menu, and the manager asked "Do you only speak Spanish?," to the man. The man replied yes and the manager had the audacity to say "Well that's going to be a problem," and decided to help me out instead. After he helped me out he continued to help other customers that came in after me. Instead of finding help or a translator to help the man waiting to get his order taken. I felt awful. I don't think that I've ever ordered anything but breakfast meals at this branch. The Lumberjack Slam with a cup of pasteurized Orange Juice is my usual choice here. Took my daughter to have dinner Sunday night. We ordered the club sandwich. Get half ways and she noticed there was a spider in the sandwich. Took it over to our server and she saw it . She asked if I wanted another order, I said no it was fine. So I'm thinking for sure they'll subtract the sandwich from the bill. WRONG!
