    Sticker on the avocado
    Katryna M.

We got a couple of drinks ($12ea). One person liked there's, mine was too strong. I ordered the crab stuffed avocado and it pretty good, but the sticker was still on the avocado. Needless to say this was disappointing not only for Hilton but also because a sticker on a vegetable is a very simple thing to avoid (if they are washing before serving). This experience really made me question the quality at Hilton Hotels. I believe overall in the brand, and don't usually have a problem with paying the prices, but this tonight made my question their standards. I did politely tell the bartender and showed him (it's not his fault) but thought he should share with the kitchen (which he didn't seem like he would) he apologized and went right back to serving.

I spent some time working here during college, playing piano in the restaurant overlooking this lounge. It's actually pretty nice for a hotel bar; a seat next to the window will get you a nice view of the coquina clock tower and fountain outside. It's an especially nice getaway from the goings on of the Boardwalk area downstairs; a place to relax in low lighting, sip a gin and tonic and live out Duke Ellington's "Lush Life." On weekends (and maybe other nights, it's been a while) they have a guitar or piano player doing covers. Like the rest of the hotel, the lounge is non-smoking and pretty casual. I don't know that I'd make it a destination, but it's a decent place to stop in and pass the time.

For some reason I ordered a painkiller that was not exceptional followed by a shot of bourbon whiskey that tasted like garbage and definitely watered down.

Drop whatever you are doing and go!…read more Zanzibar is an intimate yet unique live jazz music experience literally in the basement of a historical house. Beer and wine is served in a highly welcoming setting. Tonight, it was someone's birthday and they were handing out slices of cake to everyone there. The live performance was PHENOMENAL. Amy A. Hall, a vocalist, was performing with a back up band, which included covers of mainstream R&B songs. People were dancing and moving on the floor and in their seats. Cannot say enough good things. There is also an outdoor sports bar in the garage as well as a barber shop area and an AirBNB upstairs. Whatever you are doing... go!

If you're looking for a genuinely unique night out in Daytona Beach, Zanzibar Blu is the hidden gem…read moreyou have to experience!! Nestled in the basement below what looks like a vintage barbershop, this classy speakeasy transports you straight into an intimate live music lounge -- dim lighting, cozy seating, soulful music, and an atmosphere that feels like you've stepped back in time. What truly sets Zanzibar Blu apart is the personal touch from owner Kenneth Hunt who welcomes every guest as if you're stepping into his home. He's often there to help seat people, chat with patrons, and make you feel instantly comfortable. His vision for the space shines in every corner of the décor -- he handpicked authentic, fully functioning antiques and memorabilia (many of which he's said to have brought over from his childhood home in Philadelphia) that give the place a real story and personality. Live music is the heart of the experience here. There's always a mix of blues, talented local jazz musicians, and smooth sounds that keep the vibe lively yet relaxed. Whether you're celebrating a special night out or just craving something off the usual bar circuit of Daytona biker bars, Zanzibar Blu delivers. And if you're in town long enough, check out the Hunt House vacation rental upstairs -- Kenneth's other passion project that perfectly complements the speakeasy below. Highly recommend!!!
