The doors were going to be set in an irregular construction space so adjustments were expected and Alex had included an hourly rate for extra time and materials. He and his crew did an outstanding job on the driveway, disposing of the cracked concrete and replacing with a great-looking paver block design. Felix was meticulous in placing the blocks, and the result is fantastic! Afterwards, we talked over some possible modifications to my original retaining wall project, and I asked for his help to make it happen - which he and his crew once again did. A rite of passage for new homeowners is to deal with a major repair. Less than a year after moving in, heavy rains led to water from outside making its way inside without invitation. Noticing some damaged wood that was likely to blame, we called on Nelson to help. Of the various contractors we solicited for quotes, Nelson was the most through and punctual. And throughout, Nelson and team were reliable, communicative and provided expert work for a job which started as a "minor" siding repair but expanded (to our dismay) in scope as increasing amounts of rotting, structural wood from the previous owner was uncovered. Although it was disconcerting to see how much damage we would need to address, Nelson was sympathetic and assured us that it would be straightforward to fix and advised on a couple of different approaches, which we agreed to. His team arrived on time every day and worked around weather conditions to perform carpentry, waterproofing, and offered continuous updates. We also hired Nelson's team to paint afterwards, and are very happy with the results. By the end we started dreaming about other projects or repairs we could accomplish and started getting his feedback on those as well! One thing we learned is that it's necessary to make sure the discussions are thoroughly documented-we had a couple of misunderstandings about what was included or not after verbal discussions, which we either resolved through the contract, or realized after the fact that it was something discussed but never written down so we let it go. But making the agreement itself was a breeze, and Nelson is good humored, flexible and was easy to work with at all of the stages of the process. We would certainly work with him on future repairs.

We were wowed when the crew took down our old landing in 25 minutes and planted solid footings for the new one in a matter of hours! VENTS: duct tape was used on the exterior to attach the mesh. DOOR- used my piece or rotten plywood after he said he get a new piece Used lots of spray foam to fill where there should've been wood despite my concerns of rodents and I explained it not rodent proof ROOF: He didn't patch the tar and gravel portion despite repeatedly telling me he had. Mike finally admitted ha hadn't after I let him know I'd been on the roof and there was no patching. He still charged me for the materials and labor. He used a roof coating that breaks down with standing water Rained as forecasted a few hours after applied. A large depression filled with rain and coating is gone. He has my deposit and says he has receipts but won't share them. His invoice charges are wrong like a charge for 1 quart of water seal for $48, which is the charge for 5 gallons. Most of the items he said he had and would use. I'm charged for entire rolls when he only used a foot or two Besides the mesh, he charged $200 in materials for 4 vents All the work he did needs to be redone. He hasn't answering my texts to work this out.
