We recently had new vinyl plank floors installed by Fleury's and couldn't be happier with the experience. This was our second time using Fleury's. The first was about ten years ago for another portion of our house, and once again they did an outstanding job. They were helpful in selecting a flooring pattern that matched our previously installed floors, and the estimating and scheduling process was straightforward and easy. The installation crew paid close attention to detail, and you can tell from the work around corners, transitions, and trim that they take pride in their craftsmanship and quality. We also appreciated how transparent they were regarding areas where our subfloor was uneven (which we knew would be a problem going into the job). They assessed the condition, explained the available options, and then corrected the subfloor so the planks could be installed the right way. Having a section of our hallway flat when it's been uneven for years has been a great bonus. It's reassuring to know a company like this exists in Concord. We first used Fleury's Floor Covering 11yrs ago for a hardwood floor repair/replacement due to a fridge water leak. Fast forward to present day and time to replace 30yr old original carpeting upstairs. Because our prior experience with Fleury's went so well, naturally we returned to them for phase 2. I started with Chris at the store to present the project and he made suggestions for makers and brands to best match the Brazilian Cherry we had downstairs. Patrick was up next with onsite inspection, measurements, and bringing over samples. A complementary (and upgraded) product was chosen and install timeline was set. Javier and Kiko were next on the scene and took only 5 days to demo carpet, prep and level subfloor, and install flooring and baseboards in 4 bedrooms and a hallway. Patrick came by a couple times to check on progress and made a great suggestion to add additional underlayment. That - combined with their tried and proven method of gluing and nailing down the floor - made for the most solid-feeling hardware floor installation I've ever encountered. I'm a pretty picky customer, so when I tell you their craftsmanship, attention to detail, and finish skills are top notch - believe it. Prices and labor these days are pretty much standard all around. But if you receive this level of workmanship and flawless results, you sleep better knowing you made the right decision. Fleury's did the flooring for our new house (carpeting and vinyl), and it was a very positive experience. On the day we went to Fluery's, we had actually stopped by another flooring place where they just told us to "pick what we like and let them know." Fleury's was the complete opposite. From the moment we walked in, Chris was super helpful and proactive in advising us on what would work for our needs. Since we had brought our little dog, he quickly showed us the pet-friendly carpets and explained their benefits. This helped make the process a lot less overwhelming, which we really appreciated. The rest of the process was smooth; Patrick came to take measurements for the estimate, and was very friendly throughout. My only nitpick would be some lack of communication after we made the deposit and before installation, as we had to follow-up a few times to get a timeframe for when the work would be done (at the same time, this was around the holidays during the Omicron surge, so can't complain too much). The installation took two days, after which we had amazing flooring that we are really, really happy with. I live in a small condo, barely 500 square feet, near downtown Berkeley. Fleury's is located in Concord and I assumed that they wouldn't travel to Berkeley, but my boyfriend said ask them and luckily, they do. I got an estimate from Fleury's and two other floor vendors/installers. Fleury's had the lowest total cost by, I think, $800-$1000 (sorry I cannot remember exactly). I chose maple hardwood flooring in a blonde color. I wasn't able to do the installation right away on my end, and Fleury's was booked with other jobs, so I happily agreed to only a general timeframe for installation. As the time drew nearer, Chris and/or Patrick would contact me and keep me up-to-date about when they could do it. I really appreciated their attentive communication. I could tell that they valued my business and want me to be a happy customer, even though mine was a small job (the total cost of flooring and installation would be $7300, which is not a lot in the world of brand new flooring). Victor and Javier are longtime installers with Fleury's (I think Victor said he has been working for them for 20 years!!) and they did an excellent job!! They showed up exactly when Chris and Patrick had scheduled them for. They were really nice, clean, thoughtful and, most of all, very skillful and competent. You never know for sure what you are going to find when you pull up your old floor, so I was kinda nervous about that (especially in my building, which was built in 1907 and generations of people have lived here). There was a mild surprise, but nothing major and everything proceeded without a hitch. I think if there was something major, I would definitely trust them to handle it skillfully for a fair price. This is my second time using Fleury's as slowly but surely I'm updating the floors in my home. This round was more challenging Kitchen & Sunroom both rooms had tile! The team at Fleury's (shout out to Patrick Fleury and his crew) did an absolutely amazing job! In my kitchen there were layers of floor underneath the tile that simply just needed to be ripped out. His team did this with ease and in the process discovered a long ago covered over heating vent in the floor'! Who knew! I sure didn't and I've lived here for 16 years! In my sunroom the team did a layer of something to level the floor and then laid the flooring over the tile. The transformation is amazing as you will see in the pics below! I also wanted to give a shout out to Fleury's for the quality products they sell! I have had the Mannington Adura Max LVP in the main part of my house for around 3 years and there is not a scratch, ding, dent, or faded spot anywhere. This is some quality stuff to be sure. I have some friends who went the cheap LVP route through a discount retailer and their flooring is scratched beyond belief a month after install. I have to say you really do get what you pay for and Mannington's product really is life proof, multiple dogs with long claws, many a dropped hammer, knife etc. I can't say this for my friends who went the discount route. One thing to know is that due to Covid shipping time on the product took a little longer than normal this year so be patient it's worth the wait! After waiting far too long, we finally decided to replace the worn out carpeting in our home with hardwood flooring and we chose Fleury's Floor Covering to do the job. We couldn't have made a better decision. From our very first visit, Patrick and Chris were so helpful in answering all our questions as well as giving us lots of info about our choice and really listening to what we wanted. They let us borrow some sample flooring and when we had narrowed it down to 2 even said we could keep them as long as we needed to make a decision. Fleury's was the first placed we called when we wanted to redo our floors (because of the over 70 amazing reviews--look for the '43 other reviews not currently recommended' at the bottom of the list) but it was the last place we got a quote from. What is that saying? Saved the best for last? Indeed. Our project, tearing out two-floors and 27-steps worth of white carpet and replacing it with a white-palate luxury vinyl plank in our tri-level town home) was, from the start, product driven. We wanted a very specific look and feel from the flooring, which made the process both easier and harder. We had been told the Palermo wool could be difficult to seam, and not only did Chris come up with the best price by far out of all of the quotes, he also designed the best seam locations for the larger rooms. Don't even bother calling any other stores! Fleury's friendliness is unbeatable. I contacted Fleury's in search of sheet vinyl for a Van project. This was probably the sixth flooring store I'd called this morning and one of the only ones to answer- despite all the other stores being advertised as "Open". The gentleman I originally spoke with on the phone (I didn't catch his name) was super friendly and when he heard I needed flooring for my van conversion he shared that he had a sprinter van and had opted for luxury vinyl plank and then took the time to explain why when I then asked him a barrage of questions.
