Nancy or Marie ALWAYS returned phone calls , emails and texts within 24 hours if not the same day. From our first meeting, Nancy took control of the situation. I was a mess, the staff kept me calm throughout the whole process. I can not say enough good things about Ms Eaton and Marie Benjamin. if your tired of trying to get a hold of your attorney. if your tired of trying to do it yourself. If you're ready for integrity, honesty and accountability, give Ms Eaton and her staff a call. Thanks Ms Eaton for all your help. Michael Huls

Her conduct significantly harmed my ability to protect my rights and my daughter's well-being during a highly sensitive and urgent legal process. 1. Failure to Act During an Emergency I approached Nancy desperate and in an emergency situation involving my divorce and my daughter's safety. I made it clear that immediate legal intervention was needed. Despite the urgency, Nancy took no meaningful action to address the situation or to move the case forward. 2. Ignoring Violations of the Temporary Orders I repeatedly informed Nancy about multiple violations of the Temporary Orders, providing details and evidence. She failed to: * file any motions, * advise me on immediate remedies, * notify the court, * or take any steps to enforce the orders or protect my parental rights. Her lack of response left me vulnerable during moments that required urgent legal action. 3. Failure to Present Key Evidence in Court One of the most serious issues was that Nancy did not present crucial evidence in court, evidence that was necessary to support my claims, demonstrate the violations, and show the pattern of behavior affecting my child and this case. This omission directly weakened my position and affected the court's ability to fully understand the facts. 4. Lack of Follow-Through and Progress Throughout her time on my case, Nancy did not prepare essential filings, did not follow up on critical issues, and did not provide a timeline or structure for how we would proceed. The case stagnated under her management. 5. Poor Communication Nancy consistently failed to respond promptly to messages--sometimes not responding at all--especially when the matters were time-sensitive or related to court deadlines. This forced me to handle complicated legal issues without proper support. 6. No Strategy or Guidance Despite my requests for direction, she did not offer a clear strategy, actionable advice, or explanation of the steps needed in my case. I was left without proper representation during a complex legal process. 7. Withdrawal Only After Being Confronted It was only after I confronted her about her inaction and lack of results that she expressed the desire to withdraw from my case. This timing demonstrates avoidance of accountability rather than a professional decision made in my best interest. 8. Harm Caused to My Case Because of her negligence: * evidence was not presented, * violations were ignored, * deadlines were missed or delayed, * and my legal position was weakened unnecessarily. Her inaction caused avoidable stress, confusion, and disadvantage at critical moments. Conclusion Nancy's failure to act during an emergency, her refusal to address violations of the Temporary Orders, and her omission of key evidence in court represent serious breaches of professional duty. This review is submitted to document the harm caused by her inaction and to ensure that future representation meets the standard required to protect my rights and my daughter's well-being.

11/1/2023 This was my comments I submitted on the free case evaluation form…read more Hello Ma'am, I'm Michael A Anderson who lives home alone, who's currently a retired 100% 61-year-old disable veteran. Also currently employed, working 40hrs a week. Don't know if I jumped too far into this, I thought SSA was going to drag this out til March or April 2024, but in October 2023 I applied for SSI. on 10/21/23 I received my denial notice through the mail. They informed me I make too much money, over $3k. On 10/26/23 I received a denial notice for Retirement Survivors and Disability Insurance. They informed me the same about making too much money and said that they only looked at my work not my health. My employment is at the VA Hospital in Temple, TX. I've been working there for over 9 yrs. Next year 3/11/24 I'll turn 62, this is when I'll be retiring at the end of march or the first week of April 2024. VA HR said that's when I should retire. Sorry, but this is how I feel. I'm frustrated, tired and really looking forward to this my mind and body aches. Yes, I may make too much money, I do have health issues that's over 12 months of severe illness and injuries that I'v been dealing with after Iraq 2017 in which they'r progressing for the worse. This's why I'm retiring next year so I can take care of my mind and body for longevity, because it will not last past 62 years. I know I'll need to submit documents of my medical files. Want to know what my chances are of receiving SSDI while receiving 100% VA disability? Do I appeal SSA decision or let it expire and start over until after I retire from my employment? TY. Mr. Anderson, Michael A. This's my feedback from my free case evaluation. 11/02/2023. (SO MUCH FOR 2nd CHANCE LAWYER). FEEDBACK from my free case evaluation, I give it a thumbs down one star. I'm very disappointed. While at work I seen Ms. Attorney Merryl Jones commercial, I got very excited and said finally the disabled Vets got someone on their side, boy was I wrong, It's all about that mighty $. I feel as though they were biased. I went online and submitted a free case evaluation form to get an appointment to be seen, they did it the unprofessional way her staff members called me instead of properly professionally acknowledging my case request. There was no appointment schedule, they called me wanting me to talk on the phone for me to repeat myself; like spell my name, what's so hard on spelling Michael Anderson, phone number, what city I'm calling from, what's my address and all this info was on my free case eval, this made me feel uncomfortable, almost like I was bothering them. What are they really doing? There was no proper protocol. Their actions showed unprofessional misconduct. They never asked for proof of documents of my issues only went by word of mouth. Never sent me notice of decision from there office, they verbally denied me over the phone and agreed with SSA on me making too much money, they really didn't acknowledge me as a real client never took me seriously, basically blew me off like I was a nobody, that's one thing you don't due, blow off a disabled Veterans in need. Never spoke further about me retiring in 2024, never got into details about my health, they never look forward to me being a client. They never said after retiring give us a call very unprofessional. They weren't engage about my issues. I will let other Veterans know my experience with second chance lawyer. The door was slammed in my face, I never got to first base. Mr. Anderson, Michael A.

My friend was denied her benefits and tried this place...yeah well she was told that they would not take the case because there was no way that they could work it...meaning too much work for them to put into it for the piddly amount of money they would get. Luckily we looked further into other lawyers and found one that would take her case. I would never recommend this lawyer to anyone.

They sent me a link to pay for the consultation, which I paid immediately. We could not proceed because they did not provide the second payment link that was required to continue. when I left a poor review, they apologized and then offered a refund if I would delete my review. They claim I went months without communication, however it was them who refused to respond to me. They failed to respond to my calls and email from months ago. I never refused to pay. I could not because they would not even communicate with me or simply respond to my email with a payment link. By the time they got back to me, I had found someone else to help me. I told them that I would notify the state bar association and file a chargeback for the consultation. Then they agreed to send me a refund anyway because they knew they were wrong. They told me about the payment, I agreed to it, then they cut me off and never sent the payment link or return my calls when I tried to inquire about it. The state bar will be notified of how they mistreated me and then stated that I "refused" to pay. They will also be sent the emails where you demanded that I delete my review in order to recieve a refund, and also shows how they did not respond until months later.
