So I ordered a medium sized coffee to go. I get my coffee and went to my car to enjoy it. As I'm drinking it, coffee grounds get into my mouth. It was so many coffee grounds, I could have been chewing tobacco. I look inside the cup, and coffee grounds are floating. I pour the coffee out and I swear, I could have scooped up the coffee grounds and brewed a new pot of coffee. I took it back in and they gave me a refund, but their attitude was as if I did something wrong. Crazy! read more

The service tonight was awful. Waited for 23 minutes for nuggets. One order, 23 minutes. When I asked about the order, the manager on duty, Andrew, told me that he called the order number 8 times, they'd been ready for 15 minutes. I said they were Dine-In, and we had ordered them at the kiosk, he said I was wrong. I showed him the receipt, and he said oh well, here they are. They were cold and disappointing. And they did nothing to fix it. I mean I guess that's what you expect from a young guy that looks like he was searching for his pieces of flair. Also, I was kinda offended by his use of terms like "you better hustle boy" and other veiled racist things towards the tough black staff members here. read more

Dear Mr. Locke (Owner / Operator) Due to time constraints I chose to visit your establishment for a quick drive through lunch at approximately 12:30 PM today and made it easy and ordered a #1 value meal. Since I didn't walk in I can't comment on the cleanliness of the restaurant so my review will center around customer service, you have staffed the drive through with the wrong employees taking into consideration the stress associated with talking orders and punching this into a register with pictures instead of actual numbers I fail to understand how I can be greeted with a smirk verses a smile. Once I presented my payment to a blank staring non motivated teen who had trouble making change from a bill a few dollars larger than the total cost of my order from a LED register readout that calculated the amount that was suppose to be returned to me I had to accept my order from a teen with an attitude because I simply requested a receipt. After asking me twice what I ordered since she forgot my order 5 seconds after shoving it in my face she finally was able to produce my receipt but only after giving me a pissed off look and voiced her displeasure of having to do her job to her peers before I cleared the window. I promise I won't trouble your over worked employees again. The two stars represent the order was correct and hot don't know how that happened. read more

After church my family stopped at this McDonald's for lunch. We dined in and to start off the experience they were out of napkins and customers were rifling through the cupboard that should be used by employees to restock. I used the restroom and it was disgusting. The trash was overflowing and both stalls were out of TP. I told someone behind the counter but i never actually saw anyone address it or care. Let me start off this reviewing by acknowledging that fact that I am giving McDonalds a 5 star. That is because this review is based off of what one would typically expect at a fast food establishment. This McDonalds was the best one I've ever been to. I went with my husband on a Saturday morning for a quick breakfast. The staff was incredibly friendly and alert. They got our order correct and out to us quickly. That being said they also brought the food directly to our table! I thought that was great service for a fast food place. They had table numbers and everything. As I drank my mocha (which was delicious) I watched some other patrons coming in. Turns out that this was the hot spot for the 70+ crowd on Saturday mornings. The manager knew everyone's order and also helped to refill some of the ladies coffee when they were done with their first cup. The cleanliness of this McDonalds was also impressive as well! Not in this area too frequently but if I am around and need a quick bite I'll be stopping in. Thanks for the great service and experience! read more

Don't go through the drive thru expecting to do just that. You order and then they have you pull around to wait for your food and by that time everything else is cold. Customer service is horrible and I have waited 10-15 minutes ordering from the drive through and being pulled around to wait. Very irritating and frustrating. read more

Okayy I'm giving three stars because this is the only McDonald's near me that is good the majority of the time. The service is always good but sometimes the food and drinks can be off just like anywhere, but recently I had an experience where there was hair on my sandwich, how this happened I do not know but it was not mine. That made me want to stop coming here. Also the sweet tea is just not that good most of the time, it's either wayyyyyy to sweet or not sweet enough, I have no clue how this happens if the workers are following the recipe?Anyways I do like this place most of the time but it's a little iffy sometimes, could just be who's working. read more

This place is the McDonalds model of mediocrity. The food and Service are hardly interesting and they don't pretend to make it good, they strive to make it like every other McDonalds. They tried interesting food and removed it from the menu. They use to have decent fries with good salt but have settled for almost pure plastic taste with no salt for your health??? If you seek a perfect life of mediocrity and a burger with less than 12% meat in your patties this is your place. I will find a place that makes burgers from ground meat and fries from pure potatoes and serve them with random char marks that tell me they were made by cooks who know how to use a kitchen. read more

Would not recommend This location's quality depends almost solely on the time of day you go there. During the late night to early morning food is usually made fresh (except the fries which should be avoided at all costs if between 11 p.m. to 3:59 a.m.) but takes much longer to order and receive your food because of the lack of staff. Often at night I see only about four people working: one in kitchen, one on maintenance, one to run both drive-thrus and the front counter, and the manager who is usually shifting between roles. This presents a huge problem when things get busy. During these times the food production moves at a crawl and orders are often incorrect. The worst time of the night is when the restaurant enters "shut-down" which is when they restart ALL Point of Sales systems. This means that they cannot take credit/debit cards and only accept cash. Every monetary exchange is done manually by hand and the orders have to be verbally relayed to the cook(s). This can occur anywhere between midnight and before 4 a.m. This is when performance tanks entirely by both being horribly understaffed and by forcing the employees to work under archaic methods. During the mid-day food is hit or miss. Many times I have gotten food here the orders will be wrong, but the staff is usually very nice about fixing them. This location has ordering kiosks which usually make ordering much faster, correct, and efficient, except when they are down or lack receipt paper (which is almost all the time.) During the morning usually the best time to order food (unless you don't care for the "breakfast only" motto or the price of the breakfast foods.) While, in general, the staff is usually nice and polite the morning staff has the absolute best people working. The orders are almost always correct during this time too. I think that the worst part of this restaurant are as follows: The night shift- Never order food at this time. The staff are trying their best but the amount they have to do with so little manpower makes the quality suffer. In addition to having to take orders and prepare food, the staff also have to stock for the day shift which seems nearly impossible given that there is less than 10 people working at this time. As a result, food quality is lower and orders are usually incorrect because the order taker(s) are probably trying to remember what was being ordered as they were also bringing in stock from the freezer. The cleanliness- When you walk in there is a good chance that there is a huge mess on half of the tables and on the floor. I do not think the employees wash their hands regularly. I have seen employees come from outside and go straight back to work without sanitizing their hands. I have even gotten sick from eating here in the past (as a result I now avoid the McChicken entirely). The clients- The quality of the restaurant really suffers do to the amount of horrible customers that like to be as loud and inconsiderate as possible. If you do eat here make sure you use the drive-thru or get food to go, because you do not want to eat inside. read more

The worst McDonald's restaurant experience that I've had in the Akron area was at this location on Manchester Rd. This restaurant is consistently filthy and provides awful service. The food is often a crapshoot (no pun intended). This Coventry location recently removed the boat theme from its dining room opting for a stark, cold, industrialized design that is fitting of the poorly heated establishment. A frequent visitor will more than likely note that the toilet paper holders often remains empty for several days and the emptying of the trash is not high on the priority list. The fries are often served as cold as the water provided to wash your hands with in this cost cutting location. I've witnessed several unhappy customers demanding the corporate number to complain because the management is never willing to resolve the issue and are often the problem. Good luck with special orders, and requesting fresh food will audibly anger the already disgruntled employees. Avoid this location if at all possible along with the other filthy McDonald's further down Manchester Rd. The drinks often taste as though they were prepared with sewage water (no joke), and follow suit with filthiness and awful service. read more

I am so sick of this crap. I go through the drive through at this location because it is on my way to work. Upon going through today, I was in the drive through from start to finish for 12 minutes! Fast food? Not even close. So in that time you would think that they would have time to get the order right! Yet AGAIN, it was wrong. The first drive through window had a girl that said nothing more than the price of my order. No smile, short and slammed the window. From there I sat another 7 minutes to get my order. No thank you, sorry for the wait.... I proceed to drive into work, to find that my sausage egg and cheese bagel was a steak and cheese bagel (no egg and I hate onions!) and my small diet coke was regular coke! I am completely tired of paying for something I didn't order and the unfriendly employees there. McDonald's employees think they should be making more money?
