I have always been a fan of McDonalds . I've enjoyed there coffee , fish sandwiches , salads , small ice cream cones , yogurt with fruit , grilled chicken sandwiches and breakfast sandwiches . I've appreciated the fair prices and convenience . Breakfast at 4:00 PM was often just what I wanted . Sad to say , all of the above items with the exception of the coffee and fish sandwich have been eliminated . ( you can still get a breakfast sandwich as long as it's before 10:30AM) Not only have all of my favorite items been removed from the menu the prices have skyrocketed . The whole concept of what McDonalds is has been abandoned . I do believe this is an Alaska phenomenon but I'm not sure . Three of the McDonalds in south Anchorage have posted a warning sign to its customers . It states ,we will not tolerate violence , physical aggression , discrimination,harassment, or verbal abuse towards our staff . McDonalds reserves the right not to serve aggressive or abusive guests. All activities in this restaurant are recorded . Really ,aggressive behavior at McDonalds , Does it have anything to do with no longer being able to afford to treat your kids to fries or a hamburger or a small kids cone ? read more

The staff appeared to have no idea what's going on. Three different people told us three different stories. Yet we are sitting in the parking lot waiting for I'm not sure why or for what. It would be worth the drive to go to a different location. read more

I'm assuming working the drive through or giving out orders require absolutely no brains what so ever. For what they are charging for their food these days, they can be sure to add syrup and silver ware to an order of hot cakes . But what was I thinking ? They can't even manage to do that. read more

So if you don't know this I'm here to tell you how to eat. I found out you can get scrambled eggs on a breakfast sandwich. It is better than the other two choices in my opinion. The only reason the service is slow when I go is because I get fries with no salt. Since it might make my leg swell and I can't get my prosthetic leg on the next day. read more

Just once I'd like to get hot fries when going through the drive thru. I open the bag as I'm driving out of the parking lot to eat a few of them and they are always just warm and taste old. How hard is it to have fresh french fries? The McDonald's on Old Seward ALWAYs has hot fries. So I know it can be done. read more

This review is specifically about Sade, the employee working 7/11 at 2 pm. I've never experienced anything like her before. She was so rude and it seemed like ordering was an inconvenience to her. She was changing liners in a trash can and didn't bother to put it down while people ordered. Was still trying to tie the knot while ringing me and the next guy up. Had the can leaning on the counter where food goes. Yuck. Asked the size of a medium drink and she showed me a French fry box. Huh? I said no, size of the drink. She showed me the next biggest fry box. I said not fries. Size. Of the cup!!! She was rude from the minute I walked up even in the way she said can I help you. All the way through the end. It wasn't just me. I heard her w the guy behind me too. Nobody is forcing you to work there. If you're not happy or don't like working w people, find another job. read more

The food is fine but there's only one toilet for men. McDonald and Chevron share the same bathroom . The problem is the homeless people usually likes to stay there all daylong. I had the cashier yell at him but he was taking his time. Or maybe he was too stoned to get up. I couldn't hold that long and ended up having to go home. What if a customer is having a diarrhea? This will be really embarrassing and awkward. I don't think I want to eat at the McDonald that has only one toilet for guys. read more

They never give sauces. It's like it's a game to them, how many sauces they can not give out in a day. If you want sauces make sure you ask, then ask for extra. I get portion control but the people there act like they own McDonald's with how much they don't give you your sauce. If you ask them they look like you asked them for their first born child. They have so much disdain on their face when you ask for sauce it's like you're asking them for $1,000 instead of 4 sweet and sour sauces. Every time I order on DoorDash, zero sauces. Every time I'm in their drive thru, zero sauces. I always have to check before I leave. It's like they have a 8x10 photo of me and my car with a sign under it that says "if you see this face or car, absolutely DO NOT give out sauces to them". I've been going here since they opened as I live really close to it, they were never this bad until last year. It's like the manager is hoarding all the sauces in a secret room like McScrooge and Huey Dewey and Louie up front have to give out 1 or zero sauces like it's the Great Depression. It's like a dragon's lair but instead of gold it's a mountain of bbq and sweet and sour sauces. I've seen more care given at a damn soup kitchen than this McDonald's when it comes to sauces. It's like McDonald's has a lottery at the end of the year and the winner is whichever store has the most sauces. You spend $30 on a meal at McDonald's because their dollar menu is actually the 10 dollar menu now and they give you a huge middle finger by not giving even a speck of sauce with anything. Seriously. I was in the store the other day and there were 3 ketchup packets at the front counter. They said "not today" and locked their sauces up inside of Fort Knox. That McDonald's is the most secure building in North America. It houses the nations wealth of McDonald's sauce in there. Not even god could get his hands on a scoop of sweet and sour, not under their watch. Every household within a 2 mile radius of this McDonald's has felt the loss of sauce. Soon there will be a revolution, someone will finally stand up and say "Enough!" And they will be forced to release the sauces they've held captive there, upon thy rock they call McChevron. Shame on each and every one of you that see an order and totally disregard anything that has to do with sauce. read more

I'd give this McDonald's a zero if I could because they consistently give me the wrong iced tea. out of the 5 times we have ordered from our work, they have given me the right tea once. I can not have the sweetened tea so specifically order unsweetened due to medical issues. Thank goodness someone tasted them after delivery for me. So no tea or money for me when I have to throw it out. I can understand one time of getting the tea wrong but not this many. What the heck is wrong with getting the tea into the right containers so someone won't be severely hurt by the sweetened one? I can't understand what their problem is but I won't be risking it again. We approached the counter to order our food and nobody would come take our order although they kept looking at us. When we finally asked, the lady that took our order did it with an attitude and was very unprofessional. As soon as our food was ready the lady yelled our number and threw it on the counter before walking away before we could ask for sauces. Then when I opened my meal, the bread on my burger was hard as a rock and we got an attitude when they had to remake it. Totally unprofessional and upsetting. Check your food before leaving as it is probably not fresh. read more

This is a COOL McDonald's. It's not super nice inside or anything, but it's almost like a NJ Turnpike style Rest Stop. It's a hybrid mini-market, gas-station and several fast food chains all in one building. This place IS SO busy, yet they always manage to get your order right and give service with a smile. This is your one-stop shop when you're hitting the Seward Hightway to head for the Kenai Peninsula. read more

I went with my sister who works at another location. We go two separate orders and ordering went by easily. We had some coupons to use from the app and they weren't working on either of our phones so it was the cash machine. The employee had to call a manager. The employee and manager acted like i was our fault and were very rude and disrespectful. We got a large smoothie and didn't get the receipt because we didn't want it but we payed for a large smoothie. They had to park us even though they had all the food they needed to make the smoothie which is one of the easiest things to make we waited 10 minutes and finally got our smoothie and they gave us a medium. When we noted the mistake the employee was rude and said we had it wrong. We called and complained and they said they would give us a free small smoothie. We also told them that the employees were rude and they brushed it off. Maybe I am being over dramatic but I feel they should have been much nicer, quicker, and listened and gotten our order correct. I mean I didn't expect the best its a fast food restaurant but they had to park us that's a little annoying. read more

Terrible mcdonalds but one of the only ones with a playland. It took my son here on 9/1/18 and he got injured by an exposed screw in one of there playland tunnels. They tried to hammer down the screw but it was still raised. They dont inspect the playland equipment or clean anything very often. read more

This McDonalds is always busy. I rarely eat at places like this but the hubby wanted a breakfast biscuit for lunch so I grabbed him a bacon egg and cheese biscuit. As always with McDonalds it was...ok, I can't stand "fake cheese" you can just taste the plastic in the America cheese slice blah. The main McDonald's for my family. We use the play land at least a couple times a month. The place is kept up and there is always a staff member in there cleaning during everyone of my visits. I appreciate the pride the employees take it their job it makes a difference. read more

Soooo McDonald's gave me and my and my family no pancakes and have invested in eating dinners there for over 2 decades. We were expecting our pancakes in our big meal or what ever the hell its called. We were all very hungry and we haven't eaten all morning. We were really disappointed with what we got. The Wagner family use to have their family picture at this location, it was a nice efficiently run and very friendly personal place, something has changed drastically in the last few years. It is a 50/50 chance if you will receive the correct order in the drive thru and almost as questionable inside, not customer friendly, but there is someone wiping off the tables and machines, they seem to keep it clean but are quite territorial about it. Your better off spending your money in the store or just buying gas, the clerks in their are usually nice. read more
