Stopped into to use the bathroom and decided to order two hamburgers and a water at the kiosk using their app. Very easy to order. The McDonald's is newly renovated and clean. There was a person offering to help people--she was extremely friendly and polite. Unfortunately one my hamburgers had seen better days. Seems like it was cooked a long time before serving it to me. It was very stale and did not taste like I have come to expect. The other hamburger was fresh and delicious. If both hamburgers would have been fresh, I would have givin five stars. But serving food that is stale is not a good representation of the restaurant or their quality control. read more

I've been going to this McDonald's since it opened, and I've never been as disappointed as I was this past Sunday. My husband and I were spending time with our grandchild and that's what she wanted for lunch. As we were headed back across the bridge, the Whitehall Rd location was our pick. Not a good choice. I ordered a cheeseburger happy meal with only ketchup. She and my husband both ordered lemonade. when they brought our meal, they brought her lemonade but not my husband's. When I went to fill his drink, there's no lemonade on the self serve drink dispenser. I couldn't get anyone to wait on me back at the counter although at least 5 employees looked at me and turned their head. Finally, my original server came around the corner and filled my husband's drink. The cheeseburger with only ketchup? Nope. Had onions and pickles on it, which we scraped off. My chicken strips? Hard as nails! Most went in the trash. And speaking of trash. I had to sit the tray on top of another tray on top the trash can because the can was overflowing. There was an employee sitting there enjoying his lunch (one of the very ones who ignored me at the counter), and I told him I'd just leave my trash there since there was no where else to put it! It was nasty! As I was leaving, I looked around. It was truly dirty in there. Unpleasant staff, dirty environment, and less than good food. Next time I'll wait to get across the bridge. To whoever owns this landmark location, you need to regain control of your location and your employees before you're nothing more than a memory. read more

Worst service I've ever experienced. The night time manager "Patricia" was the rudest person I've ever met. We asked for a cup of water and she gave us the nastiest look as if we asked her why her forehead was so big (which it was). Then we bought a 10 piece nugget and she refused to give it to us, spent an hour arguing about it and never got it. As we left, "Patricia" yelled "I knew I'd win!!!" The comments I sent below says it all about this location: Dear McDonald's, store # 976, on 1450 Whitehall Rd Annapolis, MD 21409-5628, On the way back, after much traffic from exiting Washington D.C., (April 4th, 2024), a large bus of students representing the Upward Bound Program in Georgetown DE descended upon the McDonalds at 1450 Whitehall Rd, Annapolis, MD 21409. Without warning and a heads up, the restaurant and employees assisted us immediately, calmly, and courteously. Despite it being VERY confusing for that many numbers and often students changing their orders etc, the manager and staff were EXCELLENT. The manager took the time to, even in putting all the orders in two large bags, individually, taking each order, after being ordered, and making sure one by one, all meals were correct and to each person. The correct order no matter what, The staff as well was patient and courteous during this chaotic exchange with so many students. In fact, one of the employees recognized me as their former teacher in DE and called me out, and we exchanged hellos! It was that kind of night where a McDonald's as a service that went beyond just serving our food became an experience. You made a long day be a great one, and your manager that evening, around 7:00 PM, and that staff, was SUPERB- and stuck out in our minds. They are excellent and show that you can take any situation and turn it into a memorable one for a small or large group of people. They certainly did - thank you so so incredibly much. They are super star employees. To add one more plug on top of all this, we had students who had never tried your Shamrock Shake, and a student celebrating Ramadan - and you provided her with one of the best shakes, and meals, to accommodate her while she practiced following Ramadan. We could not have had such a great experience with alot of chaos thrown in in many fine dining sit down restaurants as we did at your restaurants. I can't speak for the quality of the food, as I don't eat here myself. I work for DoorDash. When I come to pick up from this location, which is frequently due to my starting point, the staff member (possibly a manager?) that I check with about the orders acts like I'm this huge burden on her just for trying to do MY job of making sure my customers get the correct orders. read more

Was really impressed with how helpful and friendly the manager and staff were! Food was served fast considering it was quite a large order.

For those of you that have seen my reviews, you know that I love great service. Unfortunately, that was not the case here today. My parents and I were meeting up and they decided that they were hungry and wanted to get some food from this McDonalds as we were already in the parking lot. After entering the lobby, as no other customers were in the restaurant, we were told that only the kiosks were open and no registers. Now, I do not want to pass judgement, but the young woman that told us that we could not place an order at the register was either speaking really loudly or yelling at myself and my parents. Again, there were nobody else was in the restaurant. The young woman did attempt to lower her voice as she recognized what she was saying because it appeared she confused herself, but it was a negative experience regardless. What made it worse was that there was no reason provided as to why they were not utilizing the registers. If the reason was given to us, we would have been more understanding. Additionally, I feel as though there should have been a sign that stated that customers could only place orders at the kiosks for "said reason as to why they were not using the registers." They could have, also, locked the doors with a sign on the window explaining the situation and directed customers to order food through the drive thru. I am not the type of person to speak so passionately in a negative manner due to a negative experience, but this experience occurred in a time frame of approximately two minutes after entering the restaurant and caught us all off guard rather quickly. read more

I live close by so this is our local McDonalds. 95 percent of the time I order food I have to go park in one of their parking spots to wait for the food. Ten to twenty minutes on average. Too many times to count there is also something wrong w the order. The people that work there are great; polite and friendly but worked to the bone. Hire more people and put the fast back into fast food. read more

She Walk over and said, very loudly that the seating area is closed and kiosk wasn't working AND..... beat this,,,,,,that the there's no Counter Register open, I have to used the drive thru. Now remember we walked in main entrance. The door wasn't locked. Check your videos on this date. As a owner at this McDonald's on a Saturday evening, you lost a lot of money.any amount is a lot. THE worst McDonalds I have ever been to! It's the closest one to home for me and I couldn't be more sad by this fact. Employees are disrespectful, management thinks it's all a joke, and if food could get worse, it would be rocks. Go when it's busy? Expect to be there for 45min to an hour. Go when it's slow? They're clearly unhappy to see you and you can hear them joking about how they'll make you wait since you came in and interrupted them?!?! As I understand things during this time are crazy and fast food is very busy, I went inside to use the restroom and order a quick drink for the ride home. My one drink took about 10 minutes and it was the wrong thing. I asked for a sweet tea and got a coke. Not a big deal, but still. But while waiting, I was looking back into the kitchen one of the cooks was FaceTiming someone instead of focusing on working. Their staff didn't seem happy to be serving and 4 out of 4 trash cans outside weren't just full, they were overflowed with trash all around the top and ground. I live close and over the years I've slowly stopped coming here. I would go to SP before coming here. Many people touched on a lot of the same stuff that I've experienced. I hadn't been here in prob 6 months, but I was pressed for time, so I went through the drive thru. Crispy Chicken Deluxe and a large fry, simple enough. Line went relatively quick, got my food and went on my way. When I got to my destination, just a cple miles away I saw what they gave me for a large fry and the way my sandwich was just thrown together, well it was all in the box anyway. The service at this McDonalds is among the worst in the State. I've been going here for over 20 years and it has degenerated over time. The interior is relatively new but the staff manages to keep it pretty dirty looking. Tables aren't cleaned often. Bathrooms are substandard and often filthy. Service time is outrageously inconsistent; you can have a long drive thru line and get surprisingly good service, or walk in with 3 people in front of you and be waiting for 25 minutes. The latter is common and in fact prompted this review. Now to be fair, it really does depend on what service team is there. Here's a general rule that may sound... discriminating, but I think it's accurate. The staff members that speak LESS English are generally friendlier, faster, and more efficient. This is who they schedule during seriously busy times, and this place rocks when that is the case. However, when the staff is comprised of all fluent English speakers, they will screw-up orders, roll their eyes at customers, text on their phones, play around with each other while customers wait for service, and otherwise suck at their jobs. Your food will take longer with less people in front of you. Seriously. In short, this McDonalds teaches more about patience than most Buddhist monasteries. Pros: good place to practice breathing exercises and focus on NOT killing people. Also, there is a Wendy's next door. Cons: Service, fast food. read more
