Fantastic breakfast at Angelo's Cafe, this family owned spot had great service with huge portions! We loved the Huevos Rancheros, western omelette and home fries! They have a gorgeous patio and plenty of parking in a private lot!

This rounds out a triple play for impromptu visits to restaurants I knew nothing about for the last three places I have gone to, all on a whim at the last second because I was either nearby and hungry, or for some special occasion and happened to be passing. This is yet another one that just happens to be absolutely fantastic. Angelo's Cafe not only has a great menu with a smattering of wonderful choices that looks like that are a diner that got smashed together with a traditional kosher deli, but also has some of the nicest people I have encountered working in such a place in a very long time. We popped in after looking at the menu in the window because we were trying to get a bite to eat while my oldest daughter was at an appointment and we didn't have much time, so there was no plan to sit down. We also did not have much time to order, so I was rapidly searching through all the amazing choices the menu had, and discussing them with the very nice gentleman at the front counter who was giving feedback, when suddenly I was torn between a club sandwich and a corned beef special. He then must have sensed that I have been on a search for amazing egg salad, not something you normally think of on a club, since I had the best egg salad I've ever had a short while ago. Knowing that I would likely come back at some point when I could sit for soup and a corned beef special, I went with his suggestion but then switched up and got it in multigrain, and it went far beyond impressing. The club was perfectly toasted, packed with the freshest lettuce and tomato, and the egg salad was perfect! Not too creamy or too chunky, and sliced to perfection. Now that we had exactly what we were looking for, we actually had time to sit, and ended up sitting out front at the nice little tables with umbrellas they have set up, and he was nice enough to bring us everything even though we had ordered it to go in haste. The whole experience and the food was just so enjoyable and a reminder that there so many good people out there that are still just continuing to be themselves and give others their best and their all every day, making meaningful connections even when it's just over an egg salad club. Today, it's not easy to forget that and it's harder and harder to find that human connection. Angelo's Cafe has something special that isn't replicated in most places. A perfect combination of smiles, genuine care, quality, value, and service that is simply hard to beat. We are not in Bryn Mawr often but we have already spoken about it several times after coming here that we will be back frequently, and a huge part of that was the people working here, not even because of the food. Obviously it was great as well, but when you have that perfect mix, one element melds with the other and it's not even just for a good meal anymore, it's for the entire joy of just being there. Get here now and enjoy Angelo's for yourself, I can guarantee they'll have something you like, and if you can't make up your mind, there is someone who will take the time to really help you find what you need!

Nice addition to the breakfast scene in ardmore and another option near the Bryn Mawr train station. They opened in November 2024 behind Staples down a few stores from Super Cuts, so they have a big private parking lot. It's new and clean inside, with nice tables and booths. There are a few short partition walls offering some privacy, which is nice. Service was great, they are eager to please. Someone checked up on me several times while I was eating. My eggs over easy were perfect, and they came with a nice side of crisp bacon and hash browns, which are my preferred choice of breakfast potato. I asked them to bring out the pancakes after I was almost done with my eggs and they timed it perfect. My sweet dessert after my savory breakfast hit the spot. Pay at the host station or via the QR code in the receipt.

Great customer service, great portion sizes, clean & fast. I got the blueberry pancakes and the goat cheese & pepper omelet.

This is the new location in Bryn Mawr Square (near the Staples on Lancaster Avenue). We had a great experience. The service is excellent. They are friendly and attentive. The food is delicious. Generous portions and well cooked. There is a large parking lot. We will definitely be returning.

New breakfast and lunch spot that just opened Nov. 18th in Bryn Mawr. The service was excellent, it was nice and clean, and the food was good. It is a great new spot for a casual, reasonably priced meal. They have all the basics on the menu along with some seasonal specials. I would be happy to go back.

Once inside, the feeling was a lot better. Not much in the way of art work on the walls, but still had a nice warm feeling. There were 3 of us and we did a lot of sharing. The Scallops in Shredded Filo was good but the Crab & Artichoke, with garlic aioli, parsley and capers was definitely "the winner". The Seafood Ceviche with scallops, halibut and shrimp was also delicious. While 2 of us were still enjoying our appetizers, our entrees were brought to the table and our plates moved to make room for them. I made the comment to no one in particular that I would try to eat faster as the seafood ceviche was pushed off to the side of the table. We had a 7 pm reservation and for the most part the restaurant was full by that time but we were not intentionally eating slowly. I could see if we might be taking up too much time eating and they had to move the tables but that was not the case as the restaurant was only half full by the time we left. For an establishment that is charging the prices that it is, Avg $18 for appetizers, high $30s for entrees, no one wants to feel rushed. The Halibut Almondine with Beurre Blank was good but not as good as we had hoped, with it being on the dry-side. The Dorado with Baby Vegetables was delicious as well as beautifully presented with "potato fish scales". A shared warm Pecan Pie with Vanilla Ice Cream completed our meal. Their menu is extensive making it an easy decision to return but I will mention that we would like a more leisurely experience this time around.

I'll need to reread their lunch special menu again because she got a much better deal for her $16! A Taste of Abruzzo in Bryn Mawr ?…read more Exit 13 isn't just a restaurant -- it's a warm, home-style escape straight into the heart of Abruzzo. The moment you walk in, the vibe hits you first: vibrant colors, rustic touches, and an ambiance that feels like stepping into someone's family dining room back in Italy. It's authentic, comforting, and alive with culture. The food? Unreal. Their **homemade bread** sets the tone -- rustic, fresh, and full of that old-world character. The **pizza** is on another level with dough that's so good it almost steals the show. Every pasta dish carries that handcrafted feel, the kind that tells you the recipe didn't come from a cookbook -- it came from memory. Appetizers are just as impressive, but the **grilled octopus** stands out as a true star. Perfectly cooked, deeply flavorful, and proof that Exit 13 puts heart into every dish. This is the kind of spot where the atmosphere and the food work together -- where the vibe feels like home and the flavors taste like heritage. Exit 13 doesn't just serve Italian cuisine. The service was very good: attentive and friendly. The ambiance is similar to Not Your Average Joe's in Ardmore with the upstairs/balcony seating and downstairs and big screen TV showing sports, but much noisier, especially as the upstairs also was filled with guests. By the time we left at 7:45pm after a 6:45pm reservation, it was loud enough that we had to fairly shout at each other to continue our conversation. The food was okay, except the salad which was excellent, but not worth returning for just the salad. - beet salad - 4.5/5, plentiful small diced red and yellow beets, avocado, arugula, a light dressing and burrato with crushed pistachios. a very solid starter salad and the server kindly split a large order into two small plates for us to share - fried calamari - 3/5, having just eaten at Estia last night which has a very good fried calamari, this one was not breaded as consistently and some of the pieces were a tad on the large side for a reasonable bite and too chewy to be cut with the fork or knife. - penne puttanesca - 3/5, my husband ordered this and while he not a self-proclaimed foodie, for him to say it was just okay means it was really just okay - linguine vongole - 3/5, points for the very plentiful offering of clams, i counted probably 20 generously sized clams (sometimes you get miniscule clams with this dish), but overall the sauce was too salty and there's not much you can do to fix that, and the linguine was a bit overcooked, definitely not even close to al dente We skipped dessert as by that point our ears were starting to ring with the high decibels coming from around us on the balcony and the floor below. It looked like a lot of people were having a good time so maybe it's just not for us.
