Yup. Visiting colleges with my family for my son. A good sign is when you hit YELP and GOOGLE for some suggestions and you get lots of stars. SO we ended up in Bryb Nawr, PA. Angelos popped up on both right away with stellar ratings. So here we go: Yes indeed. The decor immediately screamed pleading, subtle and cleanliness! We were sat down by our friendly host and immediately went for the menus. We ordered a French Toast, A Raisin bread French Toast and an Egg and Cheese Sandwich. I personally had the raisin toast and it was sublime! Would have rated it a 6 star if I could. It was that good! We also ordered juice which was fresh squeezed. Excellent! Prices were good, which I find a tad up, but worth the quality. All in all, if you are in the Philly or Villy area, this is a must stop! read more

Stopped in for a late breakfast with dad. Place was small but quaint, our first time here. We were seated right away. Although it was small it was busy and maybe about 20 tables. After checking out the menu dad decided he wanted a cheesesteak omelet came with hashbrowns. I had the short stack pancakes with pecans, bacon and cheese eggs. The food was brought out right away. It just wasn't hot to me. Could have been the air temperature. The waiter was very attentive and stopped by a few times to see if we needed anything. Dad enjoyed his omelet and my pancakes were delicious. I didn't enjoy the bacon, taste like I was eating pig. I know it's pork but had a strong taste or flavor I didn't care for. Cheddar scrambled eggs were good but could have been hotter. Looks like a lot of seniors ate there. So good place to bring your parents. read more

This rounds out a triple play for impromptu visits to restaurants I knew nothing about for the last three places I have gone to, all on a whim at the last second because I was either nearby and hungry, or for some special occasion and happened to be passing. This is yet another one that just happens to be absolutely fantastic. Angelo's Cafe not only has a great menu with a smattering of wonderful choices that looks like that are a diner that got smashed together with a traditional kosher deli, but also has some of the nicest people I have encountered working in such a place in a very long time. We popped in after looking at the menu in the window because we were trying to get a bite to eat while my oldest daughter was at an appointment and we didn't have much time, so there was no plan to sit down. We also did not have much time to order, so I was rapidly searching through all the amazing choices the menu had, and discussing them with the very nice gentleman at the front counter who was giving feedback, when suddenly I was torn between a club sandwich and a corned beef special. He then must have sensed that I have been on a search for amazing egg salad, not something you normally think of on a club, since I had the best egg salad I've ever had a short while ago. Knowing that I would likely come back at some point when I could sit for soup and a corned beef special, I went with his suggestion but then switched up and got it in multigrain, and it went far beyond impressing. The club was perfectly toasted, packed with the freshest lettuce and tomato, and the egg salad was perfect! Not too creamy or too chunky, and sliced to perfection. Now that we had exactly what we were looking for, we actually had time to sit, and ended up sitting out front at the nice little tables with umbrellas they have set up, and he was nice enough to bring us everything even though we had ordered it to go in haste. The whole experience and the food was just so enjoyable and a reminder that there so many good people out there that are still just continuing to be themselves and give others their best and their all every day, making meaningful connections even when it's just over an egg salad club. Today, it's not easy to forget that and it's harder and harder to find that human connection. Angelo's Cafe has something special that isn't replicated in most places. A perfect combination of smiles, genuine care, quality, value, and service that is simply hard to beat. We are not in Bryn Mawr often but we have already spoken about it several times after coming here that we will be back frequently, and a huge part of that was the people working here, not even because of the food. Obviously it was great as well, but when you have that perfect mix, one element melds with the other and it's not even just for a good meal anymore, it's for the entire joy of just being there. Nice addition to the breakfast scene in ardmore and another option near the Bryn Mawr train station. They opened in November 2024 behind Staples down a few stores from Super Cuts, so they have a big private parking lot. It's new and clean inside, with nice tables and booths. There are a few short partition walls offering some privacy, which is nice. Service was great, they are eager to please. Someone checked up on me several times while I was eating. My eggs over easy were perfect, and they came with a nice side of crisp bacon and hash browns, which are my preferred choice of breakfast potato. I asked them to bring out the pancakes after I was almost done with my eggs and they timed it perfect. My sweet dessert after my savory breakfast hit the spot. Can here with my parents who are in their Mid 90s and can be fussy about service and food. My Mom uses a walker and it was a little difficult getting to our table (as the tables are close and there was not a lot of space for her walker). We were greeted by are really great Server, who we later learned is the son of the owner. You could tell he enjoys what he's doing and is prideful. He explained a number of the items on the menu we were interested in and gave us some great recommendations. He made our dining experience great! Mom and Dad each ordered an omelette and a Portuguese Style English Muffin instead of toast (it's a little less dense with hint of sweetness). It was great. My parents loved their omelettes and has browns. I ordered a Breakfast Burrito and substituted sausage for the Ham and it was delicious (it took half home with me). This is an excellent choice for breakfast in the Bryn Mawr area. We frequently go out for breakfast and I look for a slightly more creative and unique menu. The Menu options here are pretty plain with a Mexican Flare. Next time we go here, I will try the Pancakes when I return. read more

The food and my waiter was great; however I was dining alone and halfway through eating I got up to use the restroom, when I came back to my table, it had been cleared and a new party was sitting there... I was confused and asked and they were all confused and flustered. They re-sat me but I was embarrassed as most people in the restaurant overheard so asked for the food to go, they had already thrown it out so remade it which was nice, but it just all felt very disorganized and overwhelming. read more

This was our first visit to Angelo's Café and most likely our last . I try and give places the benefit of the doubt, but so many things were subpar that I'm not sure it'd be worth it to return. We went on a Saturday and the place was absolutely hopping. We were seated pretty quickly, however. It seems like a nice atmosphere and very much a neighborhood favorite, which I'm wondering why. We placed our orders and when the food did arrive, it was not warm at all. One of our meals was forgotten and we had to flag the waitress down to remind her. Never were we checked on or asked if we wanted a coffee refill. The oatmeal was more like a soup. We ended up having to return it because they said that's how they serve it. It was completely liquid. The omelettes that were ordered we're so flat. Nothing fluffy about them. It was almost like someone used a burger press and smooshed them down. They were also not warm at all. Felt like they were sitting there for a while. Our waitress was friendly, but not attentive at all. Hopefully they make some necessary changes because this place has potential but fell quite short, in our opinion. read more

Had breakfast here while waiting for someone having surgery at Bryn Mawr Hospital. It's a cute place and nice that it is within walking distance of the hospital. The food I ordered was good, the service was fast and friendly, and the portions were large. The atmosphere was quiet and peaceful early in a weekday morning. Be aware: The menu says they charge for maple syrup with pancakes, waffles, etc., and the charge is a lot - like $3.50 extra. The menu doesn't make it clear that the charge is only if you want real maple syrup. Regular pancake syrup (the fake stuff) is available at no extra charge. While I liked this restaurant, they were playing Christian music so unfortunately I won't be returning. read more

We stopped in for the first time the other day after seeing it open recently. The staff was incredibly friendly. The breakfast was excellent. I had the chipped beef over biscuits and the wife had the French toast. Both were perfectly prepared and delicious, with good portion sizes and reasonable prices. Breakfast was SO GOOD! I got the Nutella crepes and my son got the chocolate chip pancakes. I forgot to take a picture of the crepes until I was 2/3 of the way finished them, but they were delicious; there were 3 and they came with strawberries and blueberries drizzled with chocolate with whipped cream on the side. I have a sweet tooth so this was right up my alley. My 11 yo son said the pancakes were good; he ordered 2, but couldn't finish them. I also got decaf coffee which was delish. I was figuring on getting fast food on my lunch hour, but decided to try Angelo's instead. I have been meaning to go there since it opened. Glad I did. I ordered an eggs Benedict/salmon Florentine.(Not your typical lunch item but when I saw it on the menu...) The eggs were spot on and the salmon was better than expected. Typically you get the thin slice salmon, but this was thicker and more like pieces of a filet. Really hit the spot Service was quick and attentive. This was a dish you typically have to wait in a line for a table to get for brunch. Very satisfying and only a few bucks more than a fast food meal. Definitely going back. If the other dishes are like this, the place will be popular, specially on the weekends. read more

Chicken noodle soup is made with spaghetti noodles; not sure why this is considered a good idea. Nudy's makes their chicken noodle soup the same way. The noodles make the soup very difficult to eat. The chicken salad has too much mayonnaise - it was runny. The "poached" eggs are not poached, but seemingly fried or basted with oil. The French fries are partially processed (frozen and then fried) and not worth the calories. I have no complaints about the service, but the server could have brought my soup right away while I was waiting for my sandwich. Angelo's Cafe needs to work on making a name for itself and setting itself apart of other cafes. Not sure I will be frequenting Angelo's Cafe. Very disappointing. read more

Relatively new place to Bryn Mawr but not the Main Line. Angelos took over the Nudy's Cafe spot at the Wayne Lancaster County Farm Market after the pandemic and has been a great breakfast and lunch place ever since. Reasonable prices and good food. Ive eaten breakfast at the Bryn Mawr location a few times during the week and hopeful they have success in this locations there as well. The dining area has a nice layout of tables and booths with no crowding. Food is great and arrives in a flash , the wait staff is efficient and friendly. Angelos also has a variety of offerings on the breakfast and lunch menus so check it out, I think you I'll discover a new place to enjoy in Bryn Mawr. read more
