AAAAARRRRRGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!!! Sat at the drive thru window saying hello for 5 minutes. Decided to drive forward. Male opened the window and I asked are you open. Said I was about to shut the system down but what did you want.(It's 12:40 a.m. but they're open 24 hours) I ordered and he took my money and slammed the glass. This is a very nice new McDonald's. I'm so glad they built this new location because the other one in the gas station down the road was not a nice McDonald's. This one has all the new technology that McDonald's is starting to go with. There are touch screens at the tables with fun games for kids and families to play. There are touchscreen kiosks to order your food if you do not want to go up to the counter and order with an employee. they also have parking spots set up for the new mobile order as well. The drive-through is open 24 hours! The building looks nice and the landscaping is nice they did a nice job with this location. The only downfall is that it is difficult to pull in and out of this location off of Highway 64. I think they should reopen the back roads they used during construction time to offer another entrance off of Canada Road. read more

I was hungry for a Mcdonald's after being in isolation for 7 days. I went to the Drive through in Arlington at about 7:12 PM. Sixth car in line..40 minutes later picking up an order of a Fish Sandwich and a Big Mac. Full disclosure a medium coke also. Pulled out starving and tor into the Fish Sandwich. It was toasted and crunchy {wonder how long that took under a heat lamp). That's why I diversified with the Big Mac I got lucky and it was good. Even a broken clock is right twice a day. Came here today for a quick lunch. Big mistake. First the sign said out of fresh beef... ok I should have ran, right? Ordered 4 cheeseburgers 2 happy meals and 2 fries. The burger had finger prints on it in ketchup, not glove prints actual fingerprints with the ridges and all. Second I found a black hair in the fries. The girls need to wear hair nets, period. My roommate placed an order on her phone on the McDonalds app - and I went to go pick it up (without her). Turns out that the app uses the GPS on the phone to determine when to place it. The app also gives an order #. On another screen, it says to reference a specific order number (which includes the first digits of the order number, plus more digits) in case you get there and it's not ready. My roommate explained all of this and they had NO IDEA what to do and just made a mess of the whole situation - and get this - it was a MANAGER!!!! It seems that McDonald's needs to train their employees on their own technology. This is the 3rd time we've had issues at this particular location. So we had to go to Arlington during that awful ice and snow we had this past week. Most places were closed because the roads were so bad, but this McDonald's was open. They should have closed, too. Let me preface by saying I did my time at McDonald's in high school and college, and know their general philosophy well. I also know some days can be horrible for fast-food workers. People get rude. You get tired when somebody doesn't come in to work and you work doubles. It's not very stimulating work. I totally get it and usually offer an extra ounce of kindness because I've been in their shoes. We go to the drive-thru at 4:17 pm and order a kids meal and 2 teas. They said they were only taking cash that day, which was fine. There was something wrong with the timing of when the order-taker punched in the order and when it showed up on the screen for us to see. She was VERY impatient and kept asking if the order was right. We told her we couldn't see it, but she would have none of that. She wouldn't repeat it and we couldn't see it on the screen, so we were both frustrated. Maybe the cold messed up the computers or something. Not my problem as the customer. Pull up and pay. She just puts her hand out for the money. No greeting. No eye contact. Nothing but a hand. After several minutes, a man in a plaid shirt comes to the window and asks us a question. This made it obvious that they were running on a skeleton crew and had pulled in some people to help them. They should have been closed. So we wait for our order, which was fine since they were obviously short-handed. I thought they were making nuggets or new fries, but the man came back and said they were making tea. OK. So we waited. Then the woman comes back and shoves the teas at us. She growled at us and rolled her eyes when I asked for a packet of sweetener. My husband tried to be pleasant and smile, but she didn't even acknowledge him. Not a thank you or anything. She had already turned away when we asked for ketchup for the fries. The nuggets and fries were cold by the time we got them. Her rudeness was not because they were busy. We were the only ones there. She just didn't want to be at work that day. And I can't blame her. It was a nasty day out and she was probably doing the work of 2 or 3 people. But you know what? If you can't be pleasant to the people who make your job necessary, don't work the job. Arlington, TN McDonald's. Well racism works both ways here. You order and pull up to pay and they get your order wrong, so you ask them to correct it, hassle but they do it. You pull forward to pick up your food and check to make sure it's correct, it's not so you politely ask for the item they left out. Instant attitude, I didn't make your order with a loud obnoxious sigh. Yes, I am a white privileged individual but racism and attitude from the employees on the afternoon crew is top notch. On the other hand the male manager and crew of the morning shift are excellent. They afternoon crew literally threw my child's gogurt into my car when they forgot to put it in the Happy Meal. Worst service ever. I understand us pulling around to wait for the food so that they can get people through however, waiting more than 7 mins because it took 3 times to get my order right. It wasn't difficult. I ordered two small drinks, coffee, sausage egg mcmuffin, bacon egg mcmuffin and a bacon egg mcgriddle. first time the didn't bring the drinks, second they didn't bring the bacon egg mcmuffin and the third time they brought sausage and not bacon. By then i didn't want to deal with it and just kept the sausage. Why make a fourth worthless trip. I don't expect high service from a fast food place like McDonalds; however I would prefer to get it right by at least the second time and they need not to feel outdone because they have to keep running out to my truck to fix my order. I've actually quit going to this McDonald's (period). When it was shiny and new, the service was fast, food was right, and energetic people worked there. Now, I'm just another classic pain-in-the-butt McDonalds customer, and I can handle most of it. It IS McDonald's after all. But what drove me completely over the edge is the addition of an automatic recording that's played to me when I drive up, "would you like to try our fruit bla bla oatmeal today", then pause, I say nothing, then a human who asks me for my order. I just waited in line, then you make me wait some more to suggest something, the same thing, everyday. NO! Someday, there'll be a little screen with a happy face on a web cam from the Philippines taking my order very efficiently with an interest in my return visit.
