This store is the worst, especially the drive-thru service. They have high turnover, they're FREQUENTLY under-staffed, and it's a crap-shoot if the ice cream machine is working - it seems to be broken most of the time. I asked one of the staff if they're under-staffed and he said "Yeah, most of the time. It's ridiculous". I've waited in line sometimes for 10 - 15 minutes with no more than 4 cars in front of me. The owner must be extremely cheap, because they seem to do a very steady business. read more

I won't repeat the bad reviews below, just offer some advice. During rush hour drive-thru, the server missed a fry in my order. Instead of simply charging me for my fry and fixing it, she asked me to go around in the line again to reorder. While I asked for my money back (don't know why they could do that but not simply charge another fry), my recommendation is to ask for your receipt at the first window and make sure it's right before you leave that window. Absolutely nasty and horrible experience I just had at McDonalds 1505 Butterfield Rd, Aurora IL (3PM~ , Oct 12, 2024) While pulling in the drive through to place an order there was just one ahead of me that was picking up their order and left. Now there was no one in front. I'm at the waiting and waiting at the order counter. I said "Hello" and there was no response, I moved to the next order kiosk in the front and said "Hello" again. Again no response. After a pause a shouting male voice says "I heard both your freaking hellos. If you don't behave, you watch me I will take the order from the one standing back in the line". He then swears something. I left without placing an order. This was absolutely the worst of the customer service one can expect. There is no excuse, absolutely none in a customer facing role ! I wish I could give zero stars. I don't expect much from McDonald's, but when I ask for my receipt, I expect to get my receipt. They gave me some random other receipt and never told me my total when I ordered so who knows if I paid for what I ordered. And my fries were cold and completely stale. I'm not sure what another bad review will do for this location because obviously no one seems to care how poor this location preforms. Today I ordered 2 happy meals, when I received them I looked to ensure they were correct as this location is notorious for making errors. When I opened the box I noticed the fries were dumped upside down and the chicken nuggets were just thrown in without a box!!! I showed the gentleman at the window and he replied very confused "so do you want it more organized?" I asked to speak to a manager- she came over and said the same reply "do you want us to organize it?" I said "no! But this is not how you should serve a happy meal!" The manager grabbed the box out of my hand as I was saying I didn't want her to fix it. (Mainly because I didn't trust what they would do) A few seconds later the gentleman at the window handed me the box back and said "have a nice day" After looking back in the box it was the same food just organized... I had ordered a spicy crispy sandwich and when I got home I had the regular sandwich. I was okay with it because mistakes happen but the chicken was so dry and nothing else was on the sandwich. I called them and they basically told me they couldn't do anything about it. read more

This location disgraces the McDonald's name at what it does best. McDonald's built its empire on speed of preparation, low costs, and consistency of products. Although the food price is still relatively affordable, I'm not sure cold fries are worth anything to me. I'm sure the fries were only cold because the chicken took 20 minutes to make. I'm happy I got food and that it was affordable but the value was just completely lost. Oh and I didn't get my sauce or napkins, and I was missing a straw. I don't like this location at all! They are very stingy on sauce to go with things, there is never enough. Also I asked for "ketchup only" on my hamburger and there essentially none on it whatsoever. The majority of the burger was just dry on a bun, ick! read more

Wow. I was also there on 07/07/18. I was in the drive-thru and it must have been 20 minutes before I got my food. The crew clearly had no idea what was going on. I ordered a meal with a Coke, but 20 minutes later was handed a Dr. Pepper. Not a big deal and not the person's fault who handed it to me. The order taker pressed the wrong button since it said Dr. Pepper on my receipt. When I told the young lady at the window, she nicely apologized and took back the drink. After 5 more minutes of watching their complete confusion through the window, she finally emerged and handed me the same Dr. Pepper she took back! I had to laugh. Getting the wrong drink is not a big deal, but 20-25 minutes in a fast-food drive-thru and the level of chaos I witnessed going on inside definitely is. i've definitely been to worse mcdonald's, but this one was for sure on the lower end. soda was not fizzy and my mcflurry didn't taste right. the dining room also was a mess and was very dim lit. from the outside you would have thought it was closed. my pickup order took about 15 minutes when at other locations, my order would take under 5. very unlikely i come back. staff was pretty friendly though. read more

April 4, 2020 no one inside is wearing gloves or masks....went through drive through and the guy took my credit card, swiped it, handed it back...surprised me but I cleaned the card and moved up the line. Then the food handler handed me my bag and I said your not wearing gloves either? She didn't say a word and closed the window quickly. So I pulled away and called for the manager. Nancy answered, said she was the manager. She argued with me saying that they are wearing gloves even though I just went through and saw them not. I asked if she wanted the time on my receipt to check the cameras. She proceeded to hang up and then not answer when I tried calling again. Really reckless and dangerous to all of us!They clearly don't care. Any other food drive through will take better care of you and your food. I'm sure any body else will have nicer customer service too! read more

This McDonalds is not my favorite. We love McDonald's for a quick breakfast or lunch on the go but I just won't be using this location again. Time after time orders are wrong whether we use drive thru or eat in. Service is slower than most and the soda / condiment area could use a good cleaning. read more

I was visiting from another town when we stopped to a nearby McDonald's. Firstly, please be truthful when saying "lobby open" when in reality, it is not. Secondly, we ordered a mocha and after the order was placed they were like, "uhhh sorry we don't have any mocha", and instead we placed iced coffee. After we payed, it was like they didn't want to give the food to us like they felt annoyed. I wish I could give this 0 stars but I can't due to the app, and one more thing, they didn't give a straw to the cup of water I ordered. I'm never coming back to this location and wait 40-50 minutes to get back to the local town and order McDonald's there. read more

Made a trip to the McDonald's at Butterfield and Farnsworth in Aurora. Kid handed us our basket of fries and, because we had waited so long on our mobile order, we immediately checked them. Of course the were barely warm and rubbery. We asked for fresh fries and were asked to return the bad ones. We weren't going to because they were just going to throw them away anyway. The "manager" indicated, with total attitude, that if we didn't give them back the fries, we wouldn't get new ones. We complied and pulled forward to wait. As the "manager" brought out the new fries, we asked her why she would serve those horrible fries to customers and that we deserved hot fresh food for our money. She told us that we have to ask for it. Really?! We have to REQUEST good food?! Yes, that is what we were told. She wouldn't give us her name (which in my view means she didn't want to be reported by name) and proceeded to insult us, yell and otherwise escalate the situation as opposed to diffusing it as a manager should. As the rest of her crew stood behind her in an open door, she told us to get the f**k out of there and we gladly obliged. This female has no business being a manager, let alone representing McDonald's corporation. Never again! read more

I work nearby and decided to do a mobile order for a coworker and I's breakfast to grab on our 15. We chose to pick it up through the drive thru so when I got to the window I informed the person it was a mobile order, after asking for the order number he prompted me to pull forward. When I did so, he handed my receipt and I went on to the second window. At the second window the woman gave me a small bag and closed the window. I ordered a lot of food so I figured this was just a part of it but when I looked in the bag it wasn't what I ordered at all. I waited 5minutes for her to come back to the window and when I told her this wasn't what I ordered and I listed my order she stood there and looked at me as if I was supposed to accept the little breakfast sandwich she gave me.. she then walked away for another 3minutes, came back and asked me to repeat my order so I gave her my receipt. 3 Minutes later I got my food and at this point my 15 minute break was beyond over. On top of all this, once I opened the container for my big breakfast meal my eggs were very runny/watery and looked completely inedible and my biscuit was burnt. So not only was the "quickest" way to grab food one of the longest processes ever but the food was also unacceptable. It's safe to say I'm never going to this location again. read more

I work at a facility that takes care of youth, so when I went to their McDonalds restaurant on 07/07/2018 at 7:27 pm I was truly disappointed. First it took forever just to place the order; the one person that was working on getting people their orders seemed over worked. I finally was able to place my order and then it took a long time to get the food. While waiting for the food, another customer started using inappropriate language, which I totally understand is not McDonald's fault that someone is cursing but after another customer addressed him about using that kind of language around young kids, he threatens that customer and keeps cursing. The manager was called to the counter and he explained that it is policy to never get involved in these situations, and that is while the guy is loudly cursing in the restaurant, the manager did not apologize or even show empathy that the group of nine youth under the age of 7 had to witness this mess. I left shortly after that but my burger was cold and the fries were hard, or over cooked. I will never go back to this restaurant, seems like they don't care about their customers or the food. read more

Do not bother getting the McGriddles at this location. They skimp significantly on the maple chips in the breading on the McGriddles which makes them tasteless. Only place in the United States that we have eaten at that has this issue. read more
