The absolute worst McDonald's in Austin. For the life of me, how does one mess up a filet-o-fish? Every time I order one, there is either not enough tarter sauce, the cheese has glued the bun half way off the sandwich, or the filet is cold. Most times I am asked to pull over and park. Several times, after waiting 10 minutes or more, I get out of my car and ask when my sandwich will be ready. I do get a"sorry about that" from someone behind the counter. The only reason I come back is because it's close to my place. This place is an embarrassment to the McDonald's name. read more

There are no drink machines available to the customers due to limited interior space, and you have to go to the counter to request a refill. Not a big deal, however this establishment does not allow you more than one refill on a fountain drink purchased at the same visit. read more

I love it when I get a mature person at a drive through. Inevitably, they are polite, well spoken, thorough. This morning I had the nicest lady. I didn't catch her name, but she was a pretty black lady...an adult, not a kid. She was so cheery, with a heartfelt "Good Morning! How may I help you today? Then please and thank you, etc. This just doesn't happen these days. I even mentioned it to her, and we both agreed...manners are FREE. Teach your children! Much to my surprise at the pick up window was a young kid with just as much sparkle and sweetness...also a big smile, and said, "We appreciate you!" Wow. Whoever the manager is at this store, they are hiring the right type of people. Best customer service at any McDonald's, ever. read more

Pretty sure the girl today at the drive thru was high. Her brain was seemingly idling when she took my card. And they got our order wrong plus the food was cold. I think it's because we ordered a box of cookies so our main meals where just sitting in the bag while the cookies baked/warmed. So boo. read more

Would give it zero stars if I could. Horrible staff, horrible customer service, messy dining room. Ordered 10pc nugget meal and a McDouble, both came out cold even though dining room was mostly empty. Nuggets seem much smaller than regular McDonald's nuggets. They charge you $1.19 for water; and there are no refills on fountain drinks. Avoid this location at all costs-- you'll have much better luck at N. Lamar or Burnet Rd locations. read more

I'll start by saying I like McDonald's. I just don't like this one. Always slow when you order inside. Multiple occasions where my quarter pounder has been undercooked. Today was the last straw. Saw customers leaving the inside line without ordering. I asked why, and they said because no one would take their order. Since I was the only one left, I decided to stay and wait. Huge mistake. Five minutes of waiting and not even an acknowledgement. I should know better. I visit this McDonald's because it's or to work, but it's close. Each time I come thee is something wrong with my order. One time I received someone else's order which consisted of a quarter pounder, fries and nuggets, which actually was good, another time I had a big Mac with no lettuce, which basically I guess is a double cheeseburger. This time, I approach the building there's only two cars in the lot and there's one car in front of me in the drive-through. So the car in front of me is sitting there and sounds like he's silent because after two minutes, I finally heard a voice. Then I got up to order and it took a few minutes for me to get my order taken as well. Once I approach to pay, I saw that the staff was playing around. But I still wanted some food. They sent four of the cars to numbers and we waited. It's been 10 minutes no one has received their food. I'm still sitting in a numbered bay while the others patiently wait for their food. My food finally came and was hoping to return the bag that has some hot fries, but it wasn't the fries I was waiting for because they weren't hot. Finally, I didn't get a straw for my drink, and the food is warm at best. I should know better, but I refuse to eat at this location again. Terrible service, and the food is called. read more

I've had multiple bad experiences at this location over the years and tonight at 8:45pm I was greeted with nothing but "We're closed" over the drive thru PA. They have posted hours until 11pm every night with no other exceptions. I tried to ask at the drive thru but no one responded passed the very rude "we're closed". Went for an ice cream cone and the menu says they have it and they come back and tell me "We don't have Ice Cream!!!" WHAT????!!!!! I don't know how many McDonald's I have been too that tell me that!! I think they just don't w-any to clean the machine so they say the machine isn't working!!! Very Frustrating!!!! Awful stop!! I'm out delivering and needed a quick lunch break, first stop to bathroom and I near passed out! Dirty and nasty floors, toilets and sinks! Inside lobby felt like 150 degrees and it's 90 outside! I do not recommend this location! Looks pretty outside, awful staff moods and dirty inside! Yuckkkk! I'll also start with I like McDonalds... this store used to provide great/timely service - however in the past 2 or 3 months it has just hit the bottom/worst service possible. Like Jamie S posted in July 2019 - I too have driven up to the Drive Thru and no one ever answers... so I just drive off... At times there must only be one employee at this McDonalds trying to run the entire store - I've been the ONLY car in the drive thru - (with none waiting) and have been told they are working on a big order - and it will be 10-15 mins. (in the drive thru?? - where are these invisible people?) First time I thought - that's odd - no cars in parking lot , no visible people inside... but now it's happened to me a second time... I guess it's a method that the crew uses to relax and veg - if you are going to do that CLOSE UP SHOP and stop wasting our time. Or if you are giving ONLINE orders priority - you need to STOP. My recommendation - save your time and try another place instead. read more

The Manager Terell is horrible and has no customer service skills. I specially requested well done food because they've previously handed me undercooked hash browns and sausage. I'm a gluten for punishment or fascinated with terrible service. This visit had no soft drinks. No ketchup out, they had to get some from the back. No soap in the mens restroom and didn't refill it the 15 minutes I waited. Plus the toilet doesn't flush. All around an amazingly umimpressive visit. Unless you're looking for a terrible experience. I might visit next weekend to see what else could go wrong. read more

I've usually had a fine experience here, but what happened to me today was completely and utterly inexcusable, and outweighs any good times I've had here. Today, when I went to go get breakfast, I ordered a single one of the #4 sausage and egg biscuit meals. They got my order wrong, and instead gave me 4 sausage and egg biscuits, plural. When I asked for a refund, the manager argued with me, and told me it was my fault that they got my order wrong. They then took back three of the biscuits, but they didn't give me the hashbrown, and they still haven't paid me my money back, and I don't think they ever will. EDIT: It gets even worse. It turns out that they charged me for BOTH my first order--the one they got wrong--AND my second order, the one they almost got right. So in addition to being charged for four biscuits despite ordering only one, I'm now being charged for five. And I'm also being charged for the hashbrown that I never got. Screw this place. I am never coming back here. EDIT 2: They did finally refund me, a little over 24 hours later. So I may come back here some day in the future, but I'll still be avoiding this place for the time being. read more

Literally every single time I go there is an issue. Half empty fries, missing something, drive thru takes longer than a 10 course meal, and now today they forgot half my order. Didn't realize until I was already home, I shouldn't have expected to have done their job. And their main office sent a pathetic little coupon instead of a refund. My husband and I stopped here for a quick bite to eat on a trip. The restrooms were disgusting. The guy behind the counter didn't greet us or even speak to us PERIOD. He took our order all while propped up on the cookie display. Saw one customer come in and no one would ever come to the counter so he walked out. My husband went to get ketchup out of the dispenser and naturally there were no cups for it, so he put it on the paper on the tray and it sprayed out all over his shirt and shorts. Very unimpressed with this location and the way it is managed. I think the unwelcoming smell that flows through your nostrils as you enter the door is enough to turn you away. I do not eat McDonald's but I used to like to bring the boys I nanny here for an ice cream cone after school. Well, once. This happened once. We tried to stop in today for an ice cream cone but "they were out of ice cream" like what? What? What? I honestly don't understand. That is poor management. No other excuse. The place smells terrible. Like dirty rags and dirty mops. It's just unpleasant. No one wants to smell that while they are eating. If the "floor" is this unpleasant I cannot even imagine what it's like where people can't see. Pass. I will pass. I'll find somewhere cleaner to take the boys after school. I live right around the corner from this one and I end up there multiple times in a week for mainly just iced coffee or iced teas. I should probably be voicing this complaint on their hotline, since it happens so frequently, but I'll start here on yelp. My order rarely varies from a large iced caramel mocha and a large unsweet iced tea. How hard is that to mess up (and I enunciate really well)? They often times screw up my order and then treat me like it's my fault when I tell them their mistake. Hot coffee, sweet tea, small instead of large...somehow they will screw it up. They will charge you more if the mistake is in your favor, but will certainly not bother to give you any money back when the mistake is in their favor. They practically eye roll you too! I hate them! I only go here now when I am running late and don't have time to drive out of my way for my caffeine fix. I just cross my fingers that they can get it right this time. read more

Oh boy. Another winner of the "THIS SUCKS" lotto. The chick who took my order was very friendly, and fast, and pretty. She lulled me into thinking that my experience would be wonderful. Au contraire! The fries -- those delicious things everybody goes to McDonalds for in the first place -- were old, cold and, strangely, undercooked. They tasted like raw potato. Gross! I also ordered McNuggets. These McNuggets were AWFUL and cold. To top it all off, they didn't give me ANY sauce (despite being charged extra for additional sauce packets). Think about this for a second... I couldn't drown my old, disgusting McNuggets in the usual, liquid sugar-fat to alleviate the sadness of having horrifyingly-gross "chicken" product. Avoid like the plague!! read more
