    Order at your table
    Heather B.

The ice cream treats here are still great! I also find the seating inside to be comfortable on both sides of the restaurant. I've found the wait times to receive food to be very reasonable. A new feature the store offers is ordering from a QR code at your table to skip the line. This may seem useful; however, the code takes you to your app store to download their app. Um, sorry. I don't need another app on my phone that I'll use maybe once every six months. So I skipped that option and joined the line. Parking is plentiful.

It is a scorching 102 degrees Fahrenheit today in sunny Austin, TX! What do you do on such hot days - dip in the pool (we do not have one) or eat ice cream. My favorite ice cream treat is a chocolate dipped ice cream cone from DQ. I purchased the small to rationalize my purchase...really should not be eating sweets. There is nothing like the sound of the chocolate breaking as you bite into the ice cream cone...so stinking delicious! Service quick, fast and friendly. I got my ice cream cone in lightning speed. After so many years serving customers, DQ staff still manages maintain a friendly atmosphere.

    Mini blizzard
    Jennifer E.

I usually go to Dairy Queen for their Blizzards. On my latest visit, I ordered a mini Reese's Blizzard. Unfortunately, it was a bit too light on the candy and mostly just ice cream. However, the drive-thru service was quick. I can't help but notice that prices are getting too high for what you get.

As much as I love, i'm going to dairy queen when I go today was not one of those days. i really do I hate the fact that I have to leave a negative review about my customer experience today. i normally order inside of the location but today I was in a rush. So I decided to order do the drive through. i requested and paid for four tacos and a medium blizzard with snickers and reese's. I'm not sure what team was working today, but it appears to I bet it was the b team. Now what's working today. The reason I say that is because, from ordering to trying to pay and trying to leave was all an event, along with communication. When the lady handed me my blizzard, which normally I wouldn't complain about it overflowing, but since I was doing a drive through order and having to drive home, one would automatically think that she should put a lid on it. well, she did not, and after I requested one, that's when the communication issue came into play, because she can fully understand what I was saying. And she had to ask someone else for assistance, by that time. I was irritated and said, never mind. Let me get my receipt, my credit card. so as the snowball effect, it gradually got bigger as I made it home. I noticed only got three tacos instead of four no taco sauce. so yes, I was highly irritated and somewhat upset, dairy Queen Bernard road. I know that y'all can do way better than what y'all did today.Today was a complete utter failure for the customer experience.

Steak Finger kids meal 2 pieces
    Rita L.

First time trying DQ :) super friendly staff and quick service. Got the steak fingers and thought that tasted like mystery meat, or more like meat patties cut in half and fried. Ice cream cone is pretty good! Got the chocolate dipped vanilla cone and it wasn't too sweet with is good! The velvet blizzard is skippable. Cheese curds are good (cut up bite size fried mozzarella pieces). Kids meal is a good deal! with a drink and fries. Unlimited drink refill too which is nice.

Does this location have chicken and dumplings?

Hello Russell, we currently do not sell chicken and dumplings but we are considering it for the future. Thank you!

Do they serve Orange Julius there? I just read that's either merged, or acquired by Dairy Queen. Now I am craving them!

This location no longer sells Orange Julius.

What you get here are chicken sandwiches that are different than what's primarily available such as: - Chicka Boom Sandwich: a Karaage-style (lightly battered) fried chicken thigh infused overnight in sake, soy, and Japanese herbs and spices, with an assortment of veggies, yuzu (think: lemon) aioli, and yuzu slaw. ($12.99) - Chicken Katsu Sandwich: a Katsu-style (panko bread crumb crusted) chicken breast with goat cheese, yuzu aioli, and apple slaw. ($12.99) The main difference here aside from the variation of the veggies would be the texture. Chicka Boom would be a lot more lighter and softer. Katsu would be crunchier! Can't go wrong with both, but if I had to pick: Chicka Boom is my fav. Plus you get to choose a sauce when you order and you GOT to get the Triple Herb ranch which is made of garden mint, basil, and cilantro - it's TOO GOOD!! The yuzu honey aioli is a good runner up as well, the sweet creamy sauce would be a contrast to the herbal one above. You can also get: - Karaage-Style Popcorn Chicken: similar sentiments to what I said above - good choice if you don't want a sandwich! ($11.99 for the large with no toppings) - Tater Tots: this has a blend of spices and sauces, what's more to say? Just look at the picture. They were a welcome addition to my meal. ($8.99 for "all the way") - Mac Daddy (COMING SOON!): think about the oriental blend of herbs and sauces you've seen throughout the sandwiches now imagine them with creamy, rich delicious mac & cheese. This was addicting! It's not on the menu yet, but stay tuned because it will soon! All in all, you get good food from a chef that has years of culinary experience and she knows the ins and outs of the chicken sandwich industry. I highly suggest you give Chicka Boom a try. They are only available for delivery where you can find them on DoorDash today and other services very soon! They get a 5/5 in my book for being amazing.

Chicken is an uphill battle especially if it's cooked shortly after ordering. 10 minutes later, and our food was served to us outside. The breading on those tenders was intense.
