Time-after-time I have ordered a Mocha Frappe. The consistency of their INCONSISTENCY continues to amaze. When my family asks, "How is it?" To start off, they gave my 86 cents in change in small coins. I had to ask for quarters instead which was easily available in the till, she then proceeded to give attitude when we thanked her. We've lived in Bartlett since '01. In that time, I'd always thought this McDonald's did one thing better than most others -- the service was always friendly, orders were accurate, and you could count on the food being what you'd expect from McDonald's. Over the last 6 months or so, McDonald's, in general, seems to think customers are better off ordering from a screen or a mobile app and just picking up our food. I get it - they save money by having to hire fewer workers. And in theory, this works, but in practice, it's made this just another McDonald's (and one that I probably won't visit as much as we used to). Often times, I order using the mobile app and just pick up. Accuracy has been a big problem lately, and what should be a more convenient way to get your food has ended up taking twice as long because I've had to go into the restaurant to get a missing item or have them fix what was incorrect. This takes a long time, because they typically only have one open register, and the people you see behind the counter are usually more concerned with filling orders from the drive-through. On my last visit, we actually ate in rather than taking it home. You had to order from a touch screen that takes MUCH longer than ordering from a real person. I didn't want to swipe my card because it was an inexpensive order that I could pay with cash, so it gave me a receipt that I then had to wait in line to hand to a person at a register. My order included a drink, but no one gave us a drink cup (they are in reach so maybe I was expected to grab it myself). Then we sit down, tables had not been wiped down in a while, and there were crumbs and food on all of them. McDonald's used to be an affordable place where you could get a dependable meal and acceptable if not very good service. This location in particular always excelled at these things. The food is still fine, but the lack of attention to detail, the deteriorating conditions of the dining room and the Amazonification of the ordering process has really turned it into a dining choice of last resort. read more

This is by far my favorite area McDonalds. The food is consistently good. I don't think I've ever had a bad meal at any McDonalds, frankly. But what absolutely sets this place apart is the crew, specifically Albert who tends to work in the mornings. Of all the times I've been here, I have to admire his sunny disposition each visit. He is always hustling prepping meals, delivering service with a smile, and wishing folks to have a "blessed day." If no one is in line, cashiers check in on how your meal is going. What the crew may or may not realize is that they often will be a customers first interaction of the day with the outside world. And a positive experience definitely sets the stage for a positive day; and that's why I like to come here especially for breakfast. read more

They were unwilling to compensate for cold and poorly made food and I was told "You should be glad that we're even open Christmas Eve, what are you complaining about!" Sitting here drafting this review, for half an hour the five tables within immediate eyeshot are filthy. Went there for breakfast this morning and when ordering asked if servers wearing gloves and was told yes. Placed order and pulled up to pay. Asked again about gloves and was told yes. Paid for meal and pulled up to get our food. There the workers were not wearing gloves and their hand was on top of our coffee. Keeping that in mind that standards are not going to be as high as other restaurants. We come here for a quick, cheap eat. This never was and never will be an upscale place. I'm sorry, but that's just the reality. I've been coming here over the years to grab something to eat and for coffee in the morning. There were a couple of instances when the orders were not correct but overall the service was up to my expectations. You order, you pay, and you leave. I came in to get breakfast twice a few weeks ago, I unfortunately forgot his name but the manager there was so incredibly nice! He really made my morning so much better. I was sleepy and was in a bad mood but his genuine smile and great personality made me happy right away. I've worked in retail in the past so I know how hard it can be to be in a good mood all the time. I came back a few days later and once again I was blown away by the level of customer service I experienced! Not only did he treat me with kindness and respect, he was also dressed in a suit and tie both times I stopped in. That really impressed me, and he looked extremely professional! I hardly ever leave reviews unless I have an amazing experience somewhere and on my way out I knew immediately that I had to leave a review on Yelp because this man's hard work deserves to be recognized!
