This place has really gone to shit, I've worked at sonic for awhile and I promise you fast food is one of the easiest jobs you can have. My meal was simple a quarter pounder with cheese bacon no mustard no pickles, but they got it all wrong and when my husband went in to tell them the cooks had to re do my order about 3 times. And even when your not done with your Oder the employees will legit stop your order for you and get off the mic. I can't stand this place anymore but I'm not gonna go extra 20 mins to get McDonald's. So the first time in six months I went to this McDonald's 20 minutes ago. I order two big Macs with no cheese medium fry and a medium Dr Pepper. What I got was one Big Mac with cheese and one with no cheese fries that taste like they've been sitting out for about an hour and then re-cooked again and a full cup of ice with little or no Dr Pepper. I've had the pleasure of coming here for weekday lunches recently. This McDonalds is aesthetically-pleasing, clean, large, and easy to access. One employee was exceptionally friendly. The parking lot is pretty big. I tried a McCafe Mocha here for the first ever time on Thursday and was impressed with its taste. It was just as tasty as the mochas from independent Austin coffeeshops like Epoch and Mozart's and much cheaper than Mozart's. This McDonalds is on the Northeast corner of the Hwy 71 and Bee Caves Rd intersection. There is no large "Golden Arches" sign high in the sky; it is a brick sign on the ground, which looks remotely elegant and keeps the view around this rapidly-developing area free from tacky commercial signs. I understand working in fast food or the service Industry in general can be taxing at times! However... Some of the staff working at this location need some serious training in people skills! The fellow at the first window must have been just getting to work and was switching out the cash drawer. Instead of just simply saying "I'll be with you in a moment" he just blankly stares at me until the drawer was switched out at which time he extends his hand to take my money. He never said one word to me. I pull to the next window hoping for some sort of acknowledgment a "hello" a "hey" a smile something! Alas not a word and I got the same blank stare as the fellow before.... Probably not the best idea to put your most lackluster employees at the window. We had gone to this location via drive thru. After having to repeat a certain sauce many times it was still not in the bag. We had ordered 2 happy meals and only one was packed and 1 drink was left out. After reminding they packed it but forgot the straw. When we had made the payment, they took the card from our hand and the hands touched. Something we are very careful during the pandemic. When giving our order we noticed there were no gloves but that could be a company policy. Food was directly handed in our hands instead of making us pick it. Overall just very poorly staffed. The girl who took my order just seemed overall confused and over it. When pulling up to the window, didn't receive our drink or even the correct order. When we asked about our drink they just said they didn't have it. When we opened the bag our order was incorrect and we never received a receipt and for the amount of food we ordered you'd think they'd give us more than 2 sauces but apparently that's too much to ask. I understand it was late at night but that shouldn't inhibit you from doing your job correctly. Overall just a very underwhelming and disappointing experience. I've lived in this area for almost 5 years and have been here less than a handful of times. But every time I do go there , the service is horrendous. Twice I've had discrepancies with my order and what was given. After waiting for over 20 minutes for any vehicle to move last Wednesday night at approximately 6:30 PM, we witnessed 10 different cars leave the line. As soon as we were able, we also left the line. After multiple times of getting the wrong order, getting one napkin for a 20 piece chicken nugget and a kids meal, this will be our last visit to your location. We went up the road to P Terry's who had 3/4 of the same line you had and were seen from order to finish in less than seven minutes. I drove 20 minutes to get my girlfriend her favorite beverage, a McDonald's Diet Coke, only to be served the wrong beverage. At the drive-thru window, an employee told me they were out of Diet Coke, then corrected herself saying they actually did. If she had just told the truth, I could've gone to a different location. But instead, someone made a bad judgement call to deceive me and tell me it was what I wanted. It's improbable that this was a careless mistake. I think this was an preconceived deception. I don't know where to start. It smelled like vomit when we walked in and every single (no exaggeration) trash can was full spilling out onto the floor. The soda area was filthy and sticky with cups and lids everywhere. I get that it's fast food, but keeping it relatively clean would make a huge difference. The cashier got our order wrong and there were no ketchup cups. I let them know they were out and they didn't refill them. Im not sure if they're short staffed or what. I just worry if the kitchen is anything like the lobby, that's terrifying. read more

Stopped in for a quick bite to eat on February 13th during the lunch hour. The cashier was overwhelmed and couldn't handle her duties. She turned and walked away from customers at the register and did not look our way at all. One of the worst places to eat I can imagine. We'll never go back in. I have been coming to this McDonalds for a while and for the most part I have never had any problems, however on a couple of my most recent visits I go through the drive they and am asked to hold on for one second which is not unheard of so I do and begin to notice that cars pulling up after my in the second lane are not only placing orders but I'm still being asked to hold even after saying hello to see if maybe they just forgot I was there. Food great and served well. The apple pies sucked and were dry, not recently heated as the kid said he would. He actually had a guilty look like something wrong was going on. Got six boxes labelled "apple pie" but two had been substituted with something else. We threw the others out after verifying their low quality. The service is atrocious at the Bee Cave location. I have been incorrectly charged at this location three times. For example I ordered a Diet Coke and should have been charged $1.08 and instead I was charged nearly $8.00 When I asked for a copy of my receipt the team member said she couldn't provide it. Out of my three visits from Nov 18 to Dec 18 I've had to dispute all these charges with my bank. Store Management could care less. I was told I would be refunded and never was. This is simply fraud. You may be better off ordering from the McDonalds app because this location can't follow basic instructions. In addition, crew members here are rude. You never get a hello or thank you. In the past I've gotten other people's orders. When I told them what order I requested they look at me like I never placed an order in the first place. I am an employee at the Hill Country Galleria. I frequent this McDonald's on a daily basis. The service at this location has always been slow, but since they remodeled this location its gotten even worse. Since they added the kiosk, the staff expects you to use them rather than order at the counter. They have decreased their staff on duty. The staffing is at minimum and apoear to be over worked and stressed. Some older customers who are not so computer savie will perfer to stand at the counter to order. The only problem is there is only one person working the counter, running orders, and assisting customers. Technology is great, but its no replacement for great customer service. I hope the management and ownership reads all of these comments and doesn't view them as negative. But rather as their customers telling them what isn't working. You need more staff on duty. I've waited 15-25 minutes for my orders at times. This is supposed to be fast food. Quick and easy. Just my two cents. read more

Credit card system is down notified they are only taking cash. We are the only car in the drive through and the said they needed a minute.
