    Churro Latte
    Gina H.

This place rocks it really does so this is my honest review and I want everyone out there to understand that I wasn't expecting it to be this good honestly.I've been wanting to try Maple Street Biscuit Company for a while, and I finally got the chance--and I'm really glad I did. Just a heads up, they close at 3:00, so it's definitely more of a breakfast/brunch spot, which works perfectly for me since I tend to start my day a little later. When I walked in, it was nice and quiet, which I appreciated. I had time to look over the menu and didn't feel rushed at all. I ordered a churro latte along with two eggs, bacon, and waffles. I grabbed a seat and noticed right away how clean everything was--tables were spotless, floors were tidy, and the whole place felt comfortable and well kept. Now the food... the churro latte was amazing--full of flavor and honestly just delicious. The over-easy eggs were cooked perfectly. And the waffles? Absolutely to die for. They were soft but still had a slight crisp on top, which made them just right. They do serve syrup, but if you want butter, you do have to ask for it since it's not automatically included. I even asked about the waffles because they looked so good--I'm pretty sure they're made in a waffle iron based on how they came out. Overall, it was a really pleasant experience. The person at the front wasn't the friendliest, but that didn't ruin anything for me--I'm a friendly person, and I know not everyone is the same. Other than that, I was very happy I went and would definitely come back again.

I finally made it to Maple Street Biscuit Company on a Sunday afternoon, well past brunch time, after having it bookmarked on Yelp for a while. I drove about half an hour hoping for a good lunch, based on what I'd seen online. When I got there, the dining area was practically empty, and the girl at the counter seemed completely uninterested in helping. I was just trying to figure out what was available and hoping for a vegetarian-friendly biscuit plate. Apparently they might have had some options, but it ended up being mostly breakfast plates and sandwiches. After some back-and-forth, I ended up with a spinach and egg biscuit sandwich with pepper jelly. The sandwich was decent, and not expensive -- around $7 -- but the customer service left a lot to be desired, so I didn't feel especially compelled to leave a tip. Overall, the food was okay. I'm glad I tried it and can check it off my list, but I'm not sure I'd make a special trip back. The experience wasn't bad, per se, but it also wasn't memorable enough to bring me back.

Coincidentally snagged the best bargain of the month for their 'five and a dime' biscuit for $5.10 on 5/10! They did not skimp on any part of the dish and that alone is 5/5! Chix and waffles - the fried chicken breast strips were perfect. Not tough or dry, it was quite tender to bite into, a good surprise. The waffles though, were a bit disappointing since all of them were soft without any crunch. Can't really blame them for this since this Saturday morning was busy and they still pushed out the orders in a very timely manner. Service - order at the counter and try to clean up after yourself after you finish. Pick your own seat inside/outside (shaded tables). Grab a high chair/booster seat as needed. Self-serve utensil station by the pickup station - silverware, not plastic for the crunchies out there. I thought service was faultless for the rush hour, from the cashier taking orders, to the kitchen staff, and the general staff on floor trying to clean up/wipe down tables, refill coffee jugs, etc. Parking - plenty despite the restaurant being almost full around 10am. However, about an hour afterward, both my husband and I felt pretty thirsty and tongue dry--signs of a very salty meal! Will make a note to sip water more frequently throughout the meal next time.

Been here a few times now, we love it! Great food and coffee and we don't mind picking up our dirty dishes...friendly working crew! (I stop by alone and feel comfortable, Discount Tire is walking distance!) WISH WE COULD COMMENT ON REVIEWS!! You order in line, get a table...NOT RACIST! Some people are too quick to judge! It's a restaurant! A bit different but NOT EVEN ASKING FOR TIPS! TRY Maple Street Biscuit, more than biscuits have HEALTHY options and FRIENDLY SERVICE

The service is terrible. Always long wait. I'm giving 3 stars bc the food is ok. I like their biscuits. It took 25 minutes today to get our food when people who arrived after us (bigger parties) got served 5 minutes before us. Last time we were here, my fried chicken was still pink inside so I sworn I'd never be back. My waffles were soggy and strawberries weren't fresh looking. There was still a big piece of avocado skin on the avocado piece. I really like their biscuits though

My wife and I stopped in for a quick breakfast on Monday morning. The restaurant staff were super friendly and very helpful with the menu. The restaurant was clean. It was somewhat busy inside. We chose to sit outside on their patio. I ordered the keto breakfast bowl that I thought was delicious. It came with two eggs, mushroom, spinach, goat cheese, bacon avocado and tomatoes. I'd order it again! The flavors were great! My wife ordered two eggs, biscuit, bacon and hash browns. The hash brows were fried and had a nice crunch to it! So good! The staff also brought us out biscuits and gravy on the house. We'll be back for sure!

My litmus test for a good eatery? It's when you go in 20 - 30 minutes before a restaurant closes and they're congenial and helpful. Case in point--Bee Cave's Maple Street Biscuit Company. Given that I'd never been there before, I had a lot of questions about the menu. The helpful attendant behind the counter, Skyler, was a complete Chatty Cathy. She 1) knew the menu front to back and 2) wasn't shy about sharing her favorite dishes. We ordered a random smorgasbord of items, including their famed biscuits and gravy (tasty and decadent!) and a Squawking Goat sandwich (pepper jelly for the win!). Skylar even offered up a free frosted chocolate chip biscuit for being first-timers. I couldn't help but notice the palpable energy in the restaurant. The employees were all joking around while they prepared to close. The good-natured manager delivered our food with a smile. Clearly, the culture in this biscuit joint is hoppin'. On our way out the door, Skylar even gave us a complimentary dozen biscuits to go. "Come back soon!" she yelled. Trust and believe, we will!

First time visiting and so excited to have more breakfast options in Lakeway area. This place adverts as comfort food with a modern twist. Let's talk about this. This is a stand in line ordering process and helpful staff at the counter to answer questions and take your order. On busy hours, this can be very slow. The optional tip on POS terminal is now common and can be debatable. If this is the first time going and you don't want to, then don't. I can tell you that tip share usually builds team camaraderie and results in overall better execution all the way around vs a wait staffer financially benefiting from the quality, cleanliness, and hard work that others put in. After you place an order, you sit and wait for someone to yell your name. This needs to tone down as everyone looks around when they did this. I had the squawking goat with an over easy egg. The presentation and execution was a sight you want to see when you had too much morning jo and no solid calories. However, it really stops there. The concept included a fresh biscuit which was actually overly crunchy and crumbly with flavorless breaded natural chicken and a burst of goat cheese really didn't work for me. It was okay but not over the top good or filling. The sweet pepper jelly really had no distinguishing flavor and resembled the sauce you find at Chinese restaurants. I also ordered a "sidekick" potatoes O'Ryan which was bland and had small, very small diced ham and cheesy potatoes. It was just screaming for salsa no where to be found. Something you could have easily made at home. The restaurant does have plenty of seating and loved the outdoor dining option. The bussing your own table is also debatable especially awkward given you are served on ceramic plates and have metal flatware not to accidentally discard. I'll have to try more options. The line, wait, flat flavored food, and bussing are reasons to pause also given price per item. Everything else is okay. Will be back as they have a plethora of other menu items and also saw mimosas and lattes.

Was seated in about the middle of the restaurant along the wall. I love these seats cause you can see the coffee station and what's going on back there. Basically people watching. It was a little loud today, so I put on my head set and listened to some music. My server was Joyce and she was sweet. Took my order, which was breakfast tacos and a pineapple mimosa. My drink came super quick, and my food didn't take long at all. I mean like a couple minutes quick. Tacos were outstanding. And honestly as soon as I asked for a corn tortilla over the flour I thought, they're going to fall apart. But they didn't. And when you see the size of these tacos it will blow your mind that they didn't. Good corn tortilla. Scrambled eggs are fluffy, the potatoes are seasoned a little. They added bacon for me a that was chopped up inside the taco. Honestly it was a lot of food. I knew I wouldn't be able to finish it. But I did, and enjoyed every bite.

It was alot of families and friends gathering there as well as a few different people working on computers and reading. I ordered a cranberry mimosa was absolutely delicious. What really blew my mind was that the server told me we couldn't sub the toast on the breakfast plate with the tres leches French toast bc it wouldn't "taste right together". I'm now immediately put off because what kinda flavor yall have on your food to where sweet and savory don't go together. So we ordered masala chai, the mango lassi smoothie, breakfast potatoes and bacon. The chai and smoothie were both very disappointing. I love masala chai and drink it often enough to know that this chai tasted heavily watered down even thought it was freshly made. The smoothie didn't taste like mango at all, it tasted like mostly like nothing with a side of banana and oats. I wish they had the ingredients on the menu because my man wouldn't have ordered it if he knew there were bananas in it. The breakfast potatoes were pretty good after adding salt and pepper and the bacon was the best thing out of what we got. It was flavorful. Overall, not impressed with this place.

The food is consistently good, and most of the staff have always been incredibly sweet, welcoming, and helpful. That said, we had a really disappointing experience during our last visit that felt worth sharing. A younger female employee with a long dark ponytail brought our food over, I think she was a food runner - but she wasn't wearing the Vivel branded t shirt like the other employees. When my husband politely asked for ketchup, she visibly rolled her eyes before bringing it. When I then asked if I could please have a knife (I'm seven months pregnant, for context), she started to walk to get one, took two steps, turned back and said "you can go get it yourself". It felt unnecessarily rude and dismissive, especially given how quiet the café was at the time. We stayed for a while after and watched her standing by the counter organizing utensils, so it wasn't a matter of being too busy. We really like this place and will continue coming back, but this interaction stood out in a negative way and didn't reflect the level of service we've experienced before.

If I'm spending $73 on two pizzas, two drinks, and a salad, I expect basic hospitality such as eye contact, a greeting, a hint of gratitude at a bare minimum. Also the pour on my prosecco was paltry. The red pepper and Parmesan shakers were smudged, sticky, and nearly empty. Details matter. As my manger said when I worked at a restaurant in my younger years, "If there's time to lean, there's time to clean". Especially in a premium location with a beautiful patio and thoughtfully designed ambiance. Let's make it tidy and welcoming, shall we? The food deserves better representation than the front-of-house is giving it. The owners have created something special. Now the staff needs to rise to that standard PRONTO.
