    big mac

I like how it's located a minute walk from the Brentwood Skytrain Station platform so it's super easy to get to for transit users like me.This is definitely one of the smaller mcdonalds but it has kind of a nice view and it's pretty clean. They have a dining area on the second floor with floor to ceiling windows so there's a good view of the city and the skytrain station. The dining area was clean. They were playing soft pop music and country music in the background. I ordered a big mac using the self-serve computer kiosk by the cashier. I got my big mac within 2-3 minutes so service was pretty fast as usual. I don't like the new changes to the self-serve kiosk when ordering. They made it more complicated than it should be. If you're ordering with a coupon code, it takes a few menus to sift through. Also, the donation question pop up is annoying and it's easy to order more than one thing by accident. Thumbs down on the new computer kiosk program changes. The big mac was cooked perfectly and it's my favorite burger because it's so tasty as far as fast food goes. This McDonalds is clean, small (maybe 6 or 7 tables), but nice to admire the view if you come when it's not too busy. They make good Big macs. 4 stars. I have a bonus interesting story while I ordered my big mac at the kiosk. There was a very drugged up lady that kept asking for ice in a cup. She pretty much cut the line because she used a line only meant for delivery people and kept shouting at the poor workers for service. The manager was suspicious so they followed her around after they gave her ice. She walked over to the drink dispenser and filled her cup while talking nonsense to herself. The drink dispenser was directly beside the order counter so every single person and the manager in the area was staring at this person for a good minute. She slowly filled up her drink and left. No words were spoken the entire minute or two as this happened. It felt like forever. You can't really take your eyes off because it was in the middle of the food ordering area. It just goes to show, Sometimes you see VERY interesting people at Mcdonalds!

They are not open 24h. They lock their doors at 11pm. All websites have conflicting info regarding hours. In addition, it should not take me 20 minutes for a vanilla latte.

It is a small space, but full of personality and charm. We ordered a Matcha Latte ($7), Japanese Latte ($7), and Matcha & Black Sesame Moffin ($1.50/each). I personally enjoy my matcha unsweetened so I loved that this one was served without sweeteners, and the matcha is lighter bodied with earthy flavours. The Japanese latte is made with coffee beans from Japan, and I'm not a coffee drinker usually so I can't comment much other than the fact it tasted mellow but had depth. The mochi muffins were not too sweet and deliciously chewy! I'd love to come back to try their hojicha latte!

I was very impressed and definitely want to go back the shop as soon as I can. I want to try their baking goods next time.

Parking is available on the side streets. The dining area is divided into 2 distinct sections. Looks like they took over the adjacent business space and knocked out a doorway. Staff are friendly and cheerful. No complaints. I wasn't sure what to try, so I had the kitchen sink. Might as well try a mix of everything. As per the menu, it was 2 eggs, sautéed red onions, red peppers, kale, green onions, sausage, bacon, cheese, hashbrowns. Reminded me of eating an omelette that fell apart. Decent quality, but honestly nothing really stuck out, especially for the price. This place isn't cheap. Maybe I'll try another dish at some point.

Gray Olive Cafeteria is a bright and simple brunch spot that serves a variety of classic, but well-executed brunch dishes and drinks. The popularity of the place showed as we waited almost an hour for a table today (granted it was a stat), with people continuing to flow in while we were dining. My boyfriend explained that they were originally a small diner, but later upgraded to more spacious seating. The waitress (who was also hostessing) was kind and apologetic for the wait. After we sat down and ordered, the food arrived very quickly. The chicken and waffles immediately caught our eye as it seemed almost one person at every table had ordered it. For $1.75, you can also opt to have your chicken made spicy, and it was very worth it! I also really liked the waffles, despite usually preferring chewier waffles. These waffles had a crispier bite, but were fragrant and delicious regardless. The crab cake benny was also a delicious umami bomb with great textures and flavours. Keep in mind, there probably isn't a lot of actual crab (mostly imitation from what I saw and tasted), but it still tasted good. One standout was the hashbrown potatoes. They were perfectly seasoned and so crispy! I also appreciated that everything wasn't too salty and perfectly seasoned for my asian taste buds. I will definitely return, but on the basis of coming for a reservation only!
