Ordered dinner for three of us on the app, drove in and joined the drive-through line. While they did get the entrees and drinks right, there was a 5 minute wait at the pick up window for them to get them into a bag, but the bag had NO straws, NO napkins, NO sauces, and NONE of the special grinch salt for the fries. A quick u-turn and a trip inside to get the missing items, another 4 minutes for a human to show up at the counter, and not so much as a "oh, sorry" from the uninterested employee. Final talley: they missed over 2/3's of the items that were supposed to be in the bag, but at least they took a long time to do it. The McD's on Walnut isn't that far away. read more

This place is always a wreck. From waiting 30 minutes for a chicken sandwich to getting home and missing items to items being burnt which makes them taste weird. Should start off by giving props to the Stealz app - using it at this McDonald's I was able to get this fun breakfast for only $1. Definitely makes the whole experience more enjoyable! The place was neat and clean, and the breakfast burrito was surprisingly flavorful. Plenty of parking. Got hooked up on the WiFi and was able to hang out for a while in a comfortable environment on a comfortable bench seat for a while. I really like the decor as well. I'm giving it 3 stars because I think that's the maximum I will give a McDonald's. No real negatives to report. read more

While sitting in stall #4 at the Cary Walnut McDonald's I used the McDonald's app to place my order. A breakfast meal for my son and biscuit for myself. It was breakfast time, the line was long and I've used the app more than a dozen times without issue. I checked the location, placed a "reorder" set stall #4, paid and waited. I knew something wasn't right after about 10 minutes had gone by. THE APP SENT MY ORDER 12miles/20m AWAY to the Cary Kildaire store. I called them to see if they had gotten my order, yes in fact they had. I asked if there was any possibility of them telling the store I was sitting AT when I ordered, and was still currently sitting, if they could transfer the $7 order. NO! No absolutely not! Was the answer. An emphatic no "they didn't receive the funds". I mean better to upset a customer and deprive a child a meal over $7 right! That's the logic here. They told me to come and get it. 12miles and more than 20 minutes in the opposite direction of my sons school. Not possible. I was then told to drop him off and come pick up my cold food after, so he doesn't get to eat? I told them this is $7 and it's not my fault the app sent my order to the wrong location. They YELLED AT ME it's not their fault either, come get the food you paid for and HUNG UP on me. Nice! So I re-purchased a biscuit for my son and made it just in time for school. I also called the help line that is on the app and explained to them what occurred. How I was sitting at the restaurant, literally in stall #4, when I made the order and this has never happened before. They took down my info, are supposed to send me coupons and told me I would have to dispute the charge myself. It has gone thru and I am disputing as I never received my food which is all I ever wanted. I don't understand yelling at me and hanging up on me either! I was not in anyway rude, yelling at me was an aggressive response to an app screw up! If you order from the app and there is a mix up do not think you are automatically getting a refund. Do not think you will get any real help. I am being charged for food I never received and had to buy again! MCDONALDS WILL NOT REFUND/REVERSE THE CHARGE I HAVE TO DISPUTE the charge w/ my CC company. More time wasted. Do not think you will get help from the stores either. As you can see they take zero responsibility and have zero customer care! This morning, stopped by for a quick biscuit. Got in the 1st drive through line, both lines equally long. When I pulled up no one acknowledged I was there, so I waited sir the person to take my order. I waited and waited...6 other cars had given their order in the 2nd drive through while I waited. 2 Cars behind me were backed up, got in lane 2, and were waited on. Now we are up to 8 cars served while I am waiting at the lane 1 speaker. I said hello a few times, but got no response. So I figured maybe there was something wrong with that speaker. I pulled around just to say there might be something wrong with the speaker and would they go ahead and take my order. Instead of a casual explanation or an I sorry about that, I got a lecture on how I must wait at the speaker until I am spoken too. I tried to explain, it had been 8 cars in the other lane and people were backing up to get in lane 2, but the worker would not listen. So I did not give an order, I just left...never to go to that McDonalds again. Anyone can make mistakes, just be polite and own it. Don't lecture people on how the drive through works...we all know. Maybe the worker should study how the drive through works...usually alternating been line 1 and 2. I am sure this review will not matter to an manager, McDonald's cooperate, or the worker, but it's sad that this is how a worker addressed a customer's concern. read more

I'm a frequent flyer at this particular McDonald's. For the past few weeks, I've been using their app to use their curbside delivery service. I appreciate all the coupons and the convenience of ordering ahead. Today, however, the app wouldn't process my payment correctly and charged me three seperate times without actually putting my order through. I went inside to order my lunch anyways, fully expecting to pay full price as my app wouldn't work correctly. The young man that helped me explained he had seen similar issues a few times already and rung up my food for free. Cool, right? Shortly after, my food was ready and a manager asked me why it was free. I tried to explain that I was having issues with the app and she kept repeating "you can't have this for free, you can't have this", and was generally making me feel like I had bullied the cashier into giving me free food! I offered to pay full price and she said "of course you'll pay full price, you can't have it for free" and then continued to ask the employees who had zeroed out my order for me. So now, after already having been charged THREE times for food that I had a coupon for, I paid full price just so I could leave the incredibly awkward situation. All in all a bad experience. I guess Wendy's is my new go to lunch spot and I'll have to disupute three mischarges on my credit card! read more

My friend's interesting story: "So my grandma takes me to McDonald's so I can use this deal they had in April where you can get a free medium fries with any purchase. I get me a $1 any size drink and the free fries and we sit down. I look at the receipt and it says, "PROMO: TWO FREEE COOKIES, ONE CONE, OR ONE APPLE PIE IF YOU FILL OUT SURVEY IN NEXT 7 DAYS." I do the survey and get the 2 cookies. The guy hands me the cookies and then the receipt. The receipt he handed me had the same promo! So I repeated getting the free desserts but at different locations. I give them my filled out receipt, they hand me the dessert and then the receipt." read more

An older Caucasian possibly past military man at drive thru window taking orders extremely RUDE!! While placing my order I felt rushed. I Wasn't able to look at the menu to decide what I wanted to eat. Employee taking my order spoke very nasty and rude about me holding up the line. He refused to give me change for a $5 bill when I asked. Told me he wasn't a bank and to pull off from his window. I asked for a manager to explain what had happened and was brushed off with a nonchalant "I'm sorry" and basically moved me along for the next customer. I asked for my missing fries that I ordered and was told I wasn't charged for them and to enjoy my free food. If I wasn't charged it's because of her employees fault for not hearing my order and rushing me to make a decision without giving good customer service. I went to the McDonalds on Kildaire Farm Rd in Cary this evening and it was a less than good experience. I ordered chicken nuggets and explained I had a coupon for 2 for 1. The microphone was not the best and the gentleman taking my order was not easy to understand regardless. He started asking what TYPE I wanted and stated 3 different types. I said that if I could get it with the coupon I would take spicy. Things became very confusing and then a lady got on and said they did not have spicy chicken nuggets. I struggled to hear and became frustrated with ordering. When I got to the window to pu the order a lady came barreling to the window and basically slammed the bag with my order down at the drive-up window and quickly turned on her heals in haste. I was trying to say to her that the ordering was crazy, but she was on a mission to be rude regardless. read more

I do not like driving up! I don't care of you have to change the milk bag. You should have don't it before I ordered. I only ordered a latte and so did the lady in front of me. She had to pull up as well. I am going to contact McDonald's to complain because I think asking your customers to drive up is not great customer services and I have high expectations for this restaurant chain. I have worked in Fast Food and we were not allowed to ask our customers to drive up. Although they may get a little frustrated if we were behind, we still never asked them to drive up and park. They also have this little timer for each order and if the restaurant has a higher average time, then they are rewarded. For 6 months this McDonald's ice cream has been "broken". No matter what time of day. Went today at 1:45 and order taker told me ice cream machine was broke. When I got to wondow, that person tried to say it was being cleaned. This has been the case every visit for as far back as I can remember. Lazy, awful sttaff. It's new and clean and nice. I've almost always had good customer service. However, I only like McDonald's for the lattes, I much prefer their coffee to Starbucks. The last two times I got a French vanilla latte they forgot the vanilla (which I paid for) and I had to turn around to return to the store and go in to have them remake it. What also frustrates me is that for medium and large lattes you're supposed to get a sticker for a buy 4 get the 5th free. Three times I've ordered the medium from this store for this reason with no sticker. When I ask about it instead of apologizing or offering a way to make up for it they just will say "we don't have those right now." This has happened multiple times over the course of two months. What's the point of a reward program if you never get rewarded??? I'm tired of paying for a simple order that I have to return to the store to correct and for missing out on the rewards so I'll be switching to a local coffee shop for my lattes read more
