Beware false advertising at this Clarksville MacDonalds. They display posters with $3 items but charge full price for every single one. When asked about it the employees express frustration because they admit that it is wrong and misleading. Additionally, only use a credit card here.... no cash. They have a "round-up" price policy saying that they do not have pennies so will charge you the next higher nickle increment without your permission. If you use a credit card then they have to charge the correct amount and also are punished by paying a merchant fee to the card company. Regarding the quality of food..... MacDonalds is MacDonalds.... what else is there to say? read more

Stopped to go to the bathroom on my way to C'ville. Was hungry so I ordered two hamburgers and a water from the kiosk. Restaurant is seems newly renovated and is clean including the restroom. Staff was friendly. However, I wanted for a long time for two very stale and not too tasty hamburgers. read more

Decided to go inside after seeing the line at the drive thru. That was a mistake. Placed my order on the kiosk which had no paper therefore I received no receipt. Waited longer inside than if I'd gone through the drive thru. Finally received my food, exited the building. As I drove down the road I opened my wrap which the chicken looked old and was cold. Needless to say, no more McDonald's for me. read more

Came in to run into the bathroom, waited a few minutes on a stall to find it was just an employee sitting in there doing nothing stalling time for their shift I'm sure. After finally getting into the stall, I don't hear the employee use the soap dispenser and only hear the employee turn the water off and on almost immediately. I'm guessing to make it sound like they were washing their hands for at least a second lol. I wouldn't eat here unless you want nasty hands all over your food! Thankfully I was only coming in for the bathroom. Hope they see this and implement procedures to ensure everyone is washing their hands after the bathroom, even though I could have sworn we learned that as children.. read more

I have to say that I was a bit worried with the current rating. Not many options in Clarksville so I took a chance. I order a breakfast sandwich and coffee. The register experience was what you would expect. The food and drink were delivered to my table. Everything seemed like a normal McDonald's. I try not to go to the McDonalds in Clarksville. Why? Several years ago I went inside to order food. There were two employees talking behind the counter who saw me when I walked in. While I waited at the register, they ignored me and continued talking. After about 5 minutes, when I turned to walk out the door, one of them asked me if he could help me. Disgusted, I left. Not wanting to support that kind of incompetence, I haven't returned. I didn't bother to report them to the manager, assuming that he was probably as incompetent as his employees. read more

Small McDonalds, but it has everything you would expect. They are located right on the water and would be a convenient stop for those who park by boat at the town dock. You could easily walk up and pick up a quick bite to eat or an ice cream come. Be patient with the service, it can be slow, but relax you are on lake time so don't be in a hurry. They also have extended hours for those of you with the munchies and want something to eat past 9 or 10 at night. read more

I've ordered breakfast here a few times and it was 'okay', not great, not terrible. The LUNCH crew however... I don't have words to describe. I ordered fries, coke and 2 burgers to go. I was the only one in the drive thru and this was after the rush-lunch hour. It didn't take long, I got my food and was on my way. I reached in my bag and the fries were half-full, I thought maybe the rest were in the bag, nope, someone had filled up what looked like a small bag of fries in a large container. To make matters worse, they were cold. Not hot, not warm, not luke warm or mildly warm but cold. Like forgetting you got McDonald's 2 hours ago and decided to eat your fries cold. The burgers were smashed down and weren't much warmer. I haven't experienced something like this before, it was really just indescribable and inexcusable. read more

I'm not going to lie. McDonald's is one of my least favorite places on the planet. However, when you're rolling through Clarksville at 6 a.m. and your choice is either here or Hardee's unfortunately you're kind of screwed either way. So I used the rule of thumb when I go to McDonald's: only eat parfaits or an English Muffin and drink their sweet tea. Other than that nothing goes in my mouth. Well that parfait was practically frozen they handed it to us. When I say 'frozen' yes I'm talking frozen. The strawberries kind of tasted like a Snickers bar when it's Frozen. However, you could bite through the strawberries. Phew. The English Muffin I got luckily it tasted like an English muffin. And at this time a day beggars can't be choosers. Fortunately, I was able to make it through my fishing trip without dying from starvation. And, no one broke a tooth on the frozen parfait. On a positive note, this McDonalds had wonderful service. We were the second car in the drive thru and we were gone in minutes. So, it didn't take long for them to grab the parfait out of the freezer and whip out a quick English Muffin. The lady working the drive-thru was very nice, energetic and sent us on our way with a smile. Thank you for that. read more

Worst service ever! The staff are beyond rude and unprofessional. Several times my food has been either incorrect (as far as what I ordered) or the food is undercooked or over-cooked. When you take your complaints to management, they are as rude and dismissive as their service, which speaks volumes as to how this store is managed. One time, I went in at about 8:30 PM to get just a sweet tea and a McDouble...it took them nearly 12-15 mins just to get me that, and they were fully staffed, but were all goofing around. Staying at the nearby state park there aren't many options for breakfast. Drove to this McDonald's for what I would normally order - an egg McMuffin and unsweet iced tea. It was SO disgusting that I am actually writing a review for a fast food restaurant. The muffin was black burnt and cold. My husband offered to ride back up there to show them but by that time I just didn't want anything else from there. Ever. Really regretting not picking up a pack of english muffins at the Food Lion yesterday when we got steaks and burgers to cook. I said in my last review this place is getting better...it's NOT! The new management is garbage!!!! The workers are hit and miss mostly miss. I had one not apply all my cash to my order and it took the manager and her 10mins to fix it. Same cashier and manager tried to remove an item they had sold out of and it also took 10mins to fix. Update: I spoke with the manager and she apologized, and offered a new drink. I advised her that I was at work at the time, but I wanted to thank her for listening and knowing the drink was made wrong (iced caramel macchiato). 25 days later, I return and purchase through the app (which was fine). This morning, 26 days later, I had some extra time before work and waited approximately 13 minutes which wasn't bad. I was more concerned about getting breakfast to my mother who was feeling under the weather. I always stir my macchiatos before I drink them being that the syrup goes straight to the bottom. Not only was this made incorrectly being that I ordered and paid for an iced caramel macchiato (large) + cream, but after I removed the cap and stirred with a straw, a bug emerged. I thought maybe it was a cluster of coffee grounds, but when I removed it with the straw, it turned out to be a bug. For your safety, I would suggest not eating here. I went to pick up a mobile order that was only one item a Frap and if I could leave zero stars I would after this experience. After paying for my item at the window I was told to pull over and wait for the Frap, I watched numerous customers get their orders from the drive thru, waited about 10 minutes and still no order. Eventually I had to go in to inquire why it was taking so long, they made the Frap wrong then had to remake it which apparently takes over 15 minutes. The whole time the employees were very rude to me it was like a chore to say anything to me let alone help me, they ignored me until I was very vocal and in their face trying to get answers and help. This is the worst McDonald's for service, wait time, attitude towards customers and the food is below par compared to other McDonald's. In the future I would recommend avoiding this McDonald's by all means driving an extra 20 minutes just for better quality, less wait time and friendlier service. read more

The food is typical for all McDonald's however the service leaves a lot to be desired. The owner really needs to clamp down on some of the staff and actually hire someone to do a little undercover work in his restaurant to see what's going on in there. One of the worst McDonalds my family and I have ever encountered. Got a simple McDouble and it was old and dry. Not to mention the BBQ sauce all over the inside of the wrapper from someone else's order. Flies eating us up was annoying. Never knew they thrived in the cold. Last but not least, the employees...wild hair colors and some in normal clothes. We thought some were customers until they went behind the counter and started handling food without washing hands. Their loud conversations were annoying as well and to make things worse, their GM was sitting in the lobby by us. Seemed young and clueless, but now a days it seems that it's more about the bottom line than actual quality. Privately owned major chains make the company look terrible. You want to make more money? Here's a tip, hire employees that give a damn and make food that meets the standards of the company. People will enjoy it and return more often. Common sense. This place has poor service and the food is often not very good. I blame ownership. Often, there is too much sauce on sandwiches such as the Big Mac. The owner, Mr. Freeman, ought to be fired for not paying the employees a living wage. The workers are paid a starvation wage, so why should they do their best at work? Both times in drive thru I was told to park my truck and waited over 5 minutes for regular menu items (no special orders) to be delivered from kitchen. No napkins or ketchup packets with order. Dumpster near pick-up window smells and nasty turkey vultures flock around the garbage. Limited fast food options in Clarksville, VA. and a small town environment (1,200 population) only highlights the incredible deficiencies in poorly trained staff and sub par food quality at this McDonald's location. How many poor reviews does it take before Management will address these issues? Will not be back. read more

The worst service ever! Went to the drive through they told me to pull to the side and would bring it out. So I did. The guy that waited on me came out to the car beside me to talk to his friend and looked stright at me not saying anything to me. After waiting 10 min for my food I went in. When I said I have been waiting on my food the guy said he gave it to me. No jackals you were talking to your firend. I waited for another 10 min inside for my food total wait was 23min. my food was freezing when i got it from the drive thru and the customer service was horrible. i got a quarter pounder with fries and a coke and my large fry container was barely filled. i also got cookies and they're cold and hard as a rock when mcdonald's cookies are normally warm and soft. there are very limited options in clarksville but i recommend going somewhere else read more

The customer service at this location is undeniably the worst I have ever been too. I ordered 2 M&M Mc Flurries thru the drive thru. When they were given to me, the M&M's were on top of the ice cream. It had never been mixed up. I turned around and went inside. I spoke with the gentlemen who had given me the ice cream and he immediately said that they were at the drive thru to be given to the customer. I asked to speak with the manager and she had already heard the whole conversation since i was upset and speaking loudly. She proceeded to ask me what could she do for me. I asked why was the mc flurries given to me without being mix and she gave me the excuse that the breaker had tripped. She went into the back to check the breaker and did not realize that someone had turned the machine off as well. read more

This has to be one of the worst managed McDonalds. Ordered at the drive through at 07:28 with one vehicle in front and one behind. Nothing difficult, egg McMuffin and coffee. The vehicle in front of me was ask to pull forward and I was ask to pull over into the parking lot. I sat there waiting while 11 other customers went through pick up window and left. I noticed that the guy in the other waiting car was getting out and going in so I decided to check my order too. The time now is 07;39 when I go inside. They threw his order together in front of us and handed the sack to him and said sorry. Started working on my order and I stopped them and ask for my money to be returned. They tried to continue to work on my order but I ask again for my money back so I could go somewhere else. Took them a minute to figure out how to give a refund. I got back in my truck at 07:44 and left to go to Hardees on the other end of town. Hardees took just over three minutes for my food but they too can sometimes be long with wait times on drive through. I think that if more people would ask for refunds when orders are wrong or have waited too long this would show up on daily reports. That would bring the problem to the franchise owner's attention and possibly make the needed changes. read more
