Every time I come to pickup auction wins, I stop by this McDonald's. The best McDonald's that I've ever had is here. Maybe if more people that had great experiences here took the time to leave a review, their ratings wouldn't be so low. I had a quarter pointer with extra cheese meal. The burger is juicy but not undercooked, the bun is warm and fluffy (not stale), condiments are perfect, burger is hot, cheese is melted, and the fries are PIPING HOT!! I order a fish sandwich meal threw the drive thou and after ordering my meal there was an extended wait for reason maybe it was because they busy burning my sandwich. I don't think I'll be back. Sandwich was hard, dry and burnt. read more

Update...things have improved slightly ...I've ate some biscuits and gravy oh man. Still may not have what you want, still miss items in the bag, but I would say improvement. Staff have been better as well and time taken has decreased. +1 However where they told me "machine broken", on ice cream, they now tell me they do not even sell it anymore. They don't sell Strawberry Sundays anymore?...a staple for McDonald's ice cream for as long as I can remember. Only fudge or caramel now...I seriously thought they was just messing with me until I was told this by quite a few different people. -1 Yep so that's it. I am done with McDonalds I would rather go somewhere else now it's just not worth the McHassle. Greener pastures my friends. read more

This McDonald's has absolutely the worst service ever. With very unprofessional people working there tonight. Which I went at 8:45 PM on April 10, 2022. When I went to pay the cashier had to holler to the people in the kitchen to settle down because they were acting like fools. When I got up to the pick up window I asked for extra hot mustard sauce and he said oh we don't have any up here do you want me to have to go all the way in the back to get it so I looked in the bag to see if there was any in there and he said oh I didn't put any in the bag either. But we don't have any up here so we would have to go all the way to the back to get some if you want me to and I said yes please and he said to pull up to the first parking spot for the drive-through wait. I did that and waited and waited and waited finally I got out of my car to go inside to get my dip but both the outside doors were locked and nobody would come to the door so I just left. The only one that seem to be working was the cashier. And there was a ton of people in the drive-through so I don't even know why my french fries were cold. read more

So, I sat in line 20 minutes and got cold fries at lunchtime. Six cars on the outside line got in line after I did, but they were served before me. When I got to the window, I told the manager the person on the inside line couldn't handle the drive-thru, and they should put someone there who could. She told me they were multi-tasking because they were short staffed. I told her the person on the outside line seemed to be able to multi task. The manager told me if I wanted it to be better to put an application in. My job isn't to run the drive-thru for a manager who can't. The person running the outside line actually told me the other drive-thru person couldn't handle the job. I go through Clayton a few times a month. This is the last time I will go to McDonald's. I will just wait and go to the one in Hiawassee. read more

We waited 1 hour for our food during normal lunchtime. Staff was turning customers away at the door saying they could not take anymore orders. Never saw this before at any McDonald's. We should have listened to one person standing outside that wished us good luck as we walked in. read more

Not impressed with our first visit. We're up visiting from out of town...so luckily it will probably be our last. The guy that took our order and payment at the first window was okay. The next window was a completely different story. They had no clue what we ordered. Even after telling them multiple times they still seemed confused. Even after getting it correct we still had to ask again for sauces. Food was warm and not hot. Fries were a bit less than warm...and they were old. read more

Ordered a fish sandwich for dinner and got home no fish on the sandwich, 1/2 piece of cheese and tarter sauce everywhere. Unbelievable.....this use to be a great McDonalds but has gone down hill big time. Look at your food before you leave the window. Management is very poor. read more

Just stopped for 2 iced coffees with no sugar. Easy peasy, right? Young lady brought out two iced coffees with sugar. No problem mistakes happen, I sent them back. She brings me out two iced coffee' with about a tablespoon of grounds in each. Very funny. read more

Stopped in for breakfast on the way through town. They have the option to order by computer here, and they bring out the food to you. Neat but it actually takes longer to find the options and check out than to just tell someone your order. Got a chicken biscuit and it was really good. Freshly made, thick chicken and a fluffy biscuit. Everything here was clean, with plenty of seating. Seems to be remodeled and up to date. read more

Stopped just for a Coke and to use the bathroom. Women's bathroom was nasty. We used the do it yourself ordering Kiosk and everything was OK but it didn't print the receipt and it said to take the receipt to the counter to get your item(s) which makes sense. We told the girls and she said do you want a receipt and we were like yeah, I guess. She said she couldn't do it so she asked the manager girl and in a loud voice like addressing us my talking loud to her, she explained how much of a pain to would be if she had to print us a receipt. Really? Your equipment is broken and you try to make it out like we would be a pain for you? If I were the franchise owner and heard her talk like that, I'd fire her. The girl came back sheepishly because it was obvious (to everyone in the lines) that we couldn't get a recept. My husband said really, we just want our drink... It's your machine that says take the receipt to the counter. So she gave us the cup and that was that... We'll go to Burger King or somewhere else next time... We really don't like getting treated like crap from a toindanagee on a power trip... At a McDonalds... read more

Worst McDonald's ever, with two drive thrus it still takes about 15-20 minutes to come out of drive thru. Horrible. The order takers never double check orders they constantly take their time. Never again read more
